Turns Out, I’m In A Villain Clan!

Chapter 332 Apology to a Mortal

Bai Zihan asking him to apologize to Luo Qing was similar to one asking a person to apologzie to an insect.

”Isnʼt that going too far? I finally understand. It isnʼt that youʼre angry about that servant girl-you just want to humiliate me!”

The Fifth Prince barked angrily, as if he had seen through a scheme.

”What the f**k are you even talking about?”

Bai Zihan was genuinely surprised that the Fifth Prince was more reluctant to apologize than he had been to endure the beating.

No matter what, Bai Zihan had no intention of letting him go unless he did as he had ordered.

”Do you think that if I wanted to humiliate you, Iʼd even need a reason? Do as I say-or you can continue being beaten.”

The Fifth Prince kept silent.

”Heh? Looks like youʼve got guts, Iʼll give you that,” Bai Zihan said.

After all, how could someone be so arrogant as to refuse to apologize that could end his suffering?

But it seemed the Fifth Prince still hadnʼt had enough of a beating and wants to be beaten instead of apologizing.

”You three. Beat him up until he apologizes to Luo Qing!”

Bai Zihan ordered the nearest three Bai Clan members.

The three were reluctant but didnʼt dare to refuse. After all, Bai Zihan had already given the Fifth Prince a way out-it was he who refused.

Thud! Bam! Wham! Thump!

The first blow landed with a thud, followed by another, and another.

The Fifth Princeʼs groans echoed through the grand chamber, drowned only by the sound of fists striking flesh and the occasional crack of bone.

The Bai Clan members obeyed Bai Zihanʼs command without hesitation-each strike measured, deliberate, never fatal but excruciatingly humiliating.

The once-proud prince, known throughout the palace for his arrogance, was reduced to a pitiful sight-his robes torn, his face swollen beyond recognition, blood smearing across the marble floor.

”Enough!”

The Commander of the Imperial Guard yelled, his voice trembling between anger and fear.

”Young Master Bai, please-this has gone far enough!”

His plea met only silence.

Bai Zihan didnʼt even glance his way.

Sitting on the Fifth Princeʼs chair like a sovereign passing judgment, he looked almost serene-except for the faint glint of killing intent that lingered in his eyes.

”Did you hear me, Young Master Bai?!”

Bai Zihan continued to ignore him. If the Commander dared to act, the Bai Clan Elders could easily deal with him.

Luo Qing stared at the once-arrogant and terrifying Fifth Prince, now reduced to nothing more than a beggar-like person.

Even she felt pity despite being the victim, and wanted to tell Bai Zihan that there was no need for an apology.

However, the Bai Clan guard stopped her and shook her head.

Once Bai Zihan had given his word, almost nothing could change it.

Trying to stop Bai Zihan after he had already given his order would be seen as disrespectful-and might even weaken the fear and reverence the Falling Star Empire held for the Bai Clan.

So, she stopped Luo Qing, who could only accept it helplessly.

As the Fifth Princeʼs beating continued, the commotion inevitably attracted a crowd of palace servants and maids.

They couldnʼt believe their eyes when they saw the Fifth Prince being beaten like that.

But they werenʼt stupid enough to interfere-especially when even the Royal Commander was there and doing nothing.

Servants peeked from behind pillars. Maids whispered anxiously at the doorway.

Word spread through the palace corridors like wildfire-the Fifth Prince was being beaten inside his own hall.

The Commanderʼs heart sank.

This was getting out of hand.

He turned to order the servants away, but before he could, the Fifth Princeʼs broken cry pierced the hall-raw, desperate, almost animal.

”STOP! Iʼll Iʼll do it! Iʼll apologize!”

Bai Zihan finally raised his hand, signaling the three to stop.

The Bai Clan members withdrew instantly, stepping back.

The Fifth Prince lay there for a moment, trembling, before slowly forcing himself up.

His face was swollen beyond recognition-round, red, and puffed up like a pigʼs. If not for the royal garments he wore, one might have truly mistaken him for a pig.

Of course, despite the ridiculous sight, none of them dared to laugh at their prince. The Bai Clan members, in particular, maintained perfect composure though some of them seemed to be suppressing their laughter.

The Fifth Prince movements were sluggish, every breath a struggle. Blood dripped from his nose and mouth, splattering onto the marble beneath him. Despite having said he would do it, the Fifth Prince stood there for a moment, perhaps second-guessing his decision-or something of the sort-which only irritated Bai Zihan further.

”Whatʼs taking so long?”

Bai Zihan asked coldly.

”Do you want to continue being beaten?”

”N-No!”

The Fifth Prince coughed, his body swaying unsteadily.

”Iʼll... Iʼll do it. I just have to apologize to her, right?”

”Correct,” Bai Zihan replied.

Every pair of eyes in the hall watched in stunned disbelief as the Fifth Prince- one of the empireʼs most powerful royals-took slow, uneven steps toward Luo

Qing

Luo Qing shrank back instinctively, clutching the hem of her dress.

The Fifth Prince stopped in front of her, his shadow falling across her trembling form.

For a moment, he simply stood there, chest heaving, blood dripping down his chin. His jaw clenched, muscles twitching as if every word cost him something precious.

He looked at the girl-if not for her, he wouldnʼt have suffered so much. He wanted to blame her and shout that it was all her fault.

But of course, those words could only remain in his heart.

Then, through gritted teeth, he forced the words out.

”...... was wrong. I apologize. It was my fault for misunderstanding the situation.”

The hall went silent.

Dead silent. The servants and maids exchanged wide-eyed looks, whispering in disbelief.

”D-Did he just-apologize?”

”The Fifth Prince... apologized to a mortal girl?”

”Has this ever happened in the history of the Falling Star Empire?”

The Commander himself was frozen, unable to decide whether to be relieved or terrified.

At least, as per Bai Zihanʼs words, the Fifth Prince would be spared from that torturous beating.

The Fifth Prince-humiliated, trembling, and bleeding-stood before a maid, forced to bow his head.

And then, with the entire hall holding its breath, the words echoed through the Hall:

”Whatʼs happening here?”
