Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill

Chapter 62: Knight of Darkness

”M- Master, you are back?” Diana asked in a meek tone.

”Oh?!” Vritra was taken aback, but he didn’t focus on Diana for now. After a nod, he looked at a certain part of his status window.

{Sin Points: 19,489}

Vritra couldn’t get Sin Points if someone was talking about him and he wasn’t around.

But as long as that person was not too far away from him and was within his sensing range, he would be able to get the points.

Just now, he had terrorized a lot of people. Although most were far away from him, he still got quite a bit of points—yet they were still nowhere near enough to spin the Gacha Wheel.

With a probability of less than 2%, he would need a lot of keys to pull out something good.

Vritra had made the plan to kill Arthur only after arriving there and observing them for a while. Even if he had failed to kill that knight, he would have still managed to succeed in his goal.

Now that they are chasing a new enemy, Vritra would have quite a bit of free time. It won’t be anytime soon that the Nine Pact or the King makes a move against him.

He also wanted to see his combat power if he didn’t hold back and the result was more than satisfying, especially the purple flame.

But after using that one attack, the core in his chest was completely empty. It would need at least a few days to refill on its own.

With this attack, not only had he diverted the attention but also reduced the King’s strength by a great level.

But none of this was his biggest gain. Vritra’s lips curled into a big devilish smile that made the goddess shiver.

He focused his gaze on the ethereal letters in front of him, a particular part of the status window.

Now he possessed another Soul Wraith with terrifying strength— even slightly stronger than the Chimera— with high intelligence.

If Arthur wasn’t caught up in that plan and didn’t need to protect the King, then there was no way he would have died so easily.

’Indeed a nice addition. Turning that guy into Soul Wraith exhausted so much of my energy, but it was so worth it.’

For a moment, Vritra wondered if he should remove the demonic giant, since aside from its physical strength, it wasn’t much helpful.

But in the end, he decided to keep it for now; its level was still quite high.

’And everything is taken care of. Now I can slowly move inside the kingdom and deal with a few things before leaving. I will avoid the Nine Pacts for now.’

Vritra made up his mind as he stood up. His pale face had already returned to normal and even half of his mana had been regenerated.

”Diana, take care of the mess. Just make something up if anyone asks about me.” Vritra spoke, patting her head with a kind, angelic smile that made the goddess cower in fear.

”A- And where are you going? Others might still get suspicious of you, even if they don’t think that you could cause all this trouble.

But they might pick you up for interrogation, and if you are taken by the Nine Pact, then even with your strength, it would be impossible to escape.

So you should stay in the temple, then they won’t cross the line.” Diana said with a confident expression. After all, even those people are afraid of the true gods.

Vritra remained silent for a few moments, then he nodded:

”Since all the rooms in the castle had already been destroyed, make everyone shift into the temple. That place should still be useful. But for now, I need to go and practice my acting skills.”

Then he walked away, leaving the goddess behind, feeling nervous and awed. Then she shook her head, shocked by the fact that she actually felt worried about that great demon emperor.

Vritra walked past the rubble of the castle as he made his way towards the survivors— all the people from his class. After all, they had been saved by that black-robed man.

After looking around, his gaze landed on the redhead who was still lying unconscious, though none of them seemed to have suffered any injuries.

...

Fiona had been extremely shocked when the corpse of the demon giant had suddenly exploded.

She really thought that she was going to die at that moment, but somehow she was able to survive. It seemed someone had protected all of them.

But then those large dark demonic figures appeared, and the moment they released a roar, she fell unconscious. At some point, all of them had been shifted away from the battlefield.

”...ake up, Fio...!!”

She heard the faint sound of someone calling out to her. The eyes of the redhead fluttered as she felt someone holding her tightly and protectively, filling her with a comforting warmth.

’Is it Max? Yeah, he should be the one calling me and protecting me. I knew it—bad boys would do anything for the girl they like. But it is the first time he is embracing me...’

Fiona felt happy as she slowly became aware of her surroundings.

”Are you okay, Fiona?” the same person called out to her again, touching her cheek gently. Finally, she woke up.

Her eyes fluttered and opened slightly, but because of the bright sunlight, she couldn’t clearly see the face of the person who seemed so worried about her and kept calling her name so passionately.

’His face is so close to mine...’ Fiona faintly saw the outline of his face. Max had never before looked so handsome. As she lay in his arms, all her worry and fear melted away.

She smiled lovingly and spoke in a weak tone while placing her palm gently over his hand that was still caressing her cheek: ”I am fine...”

{Sin Point Gained: Enraged +1}

”What are you doing?!!” An angry and familiar voice suddenly reverberated and Fiona was shaken out of her daze. She wondered why that voice was so familiar.

As her sight became clearer, she was shocked to see that indeed Max could never look so handsome. The person holding her wasn’t Max at all, but it was a devilishly charming face that held a gentle and caring smile.

{Sin Point Gained: Flustered +1}

”V- Vritra?!!” Fiona was shocked and frozen. She believed it was Max— that was why she smiled like that and even touched his hand, giving him permission and even encouraging him to touch her cheek.

She glanced to the other side from the corner of her eyes and saw Max standing there with an enraged look on his face.

He looked so mad. When thinking about the current situation, it was indeed easy to misunderstand the current situation.

She hastily moved her hand away, a look of horror on her face as she hastily tried to explain.

”M- Max, this is a misunderstanding. I thought it was—” Fiona tried to explain, but Max was completely locked onto Vritra who sat there with Fiona in his arms without any clue.

She finally noticed that she was still in his arms, so she pushed him away. Both her palms hit Vritra’s chest, pushing him backward and Fiona was finally away from him.
