Ice Age Apocalypse: I Hoard Billions of Supplies

The exoskeleton mech Lu Keran had painstakingly crafted could enhance the combat power of everyone in Zhang Yi’s team, especially for Fatty Xu and Old You.

Fatty Xu’s talent potential was theoretically above Old You’s.

However, due to his personality, Zhang Yi had assessed his superhuman ability index at only 8,000 points.

But if he could overcome his cowardice and unleash his full strength, according to Zhang Yi and Yang Xinxin’s analysis, he might even reach the 9,000-point level!

“That’s only theoretical. I don’t think that guy will ever muster the courage to risk death and fight someone.”

Zhang Yi had once made that judgment.

Another point was that Zhang Yi had sheltered them too well.

He had never imagined a scenario like this, where Fatty Xu would be completely isolated and alone.

Nor had he expected that an unexpected incident would allow the rage in Fatty Xu’s heart to overcome his fear.

Because of his fondness and sympathy for the Grand Scholar, because of the resentment stirred by Lamorak’s humiliation, Fatty Xu erupted for the first time in his life!

The armor sprayed Liquid Nitrogen, rapidly cooling the surrounding air.

White ice crystals spread outward in all directions along Fatty Xu’s right palm pressed against the ground!

But this had absolutely no effect on Lamorak and Agravain.

Their combat suits were designed to withstand extreme low temperatures, so a temperature drop was the least of their concerns.

“This guy, is he crazy?”

“He actually wants to fight both of us at once.”

“For that Tri-Eyed Clan guy? Then he must be insane.”

Lamorak and Agravain never expected Fatty Xu would dare to make a move.

In the ultra-low temperature environment, the moisture in the air rapidly froze into ice crystals.

This gave Fatty Xu a weapon he could fight with.

“Blizzard!”

A serious expression appeared on Fatty Xu’s chubby face as a fierce storm erupted from around him, mixed with the frost in the surrounding air, howling as it surged toward Agravain and Lamorak ahead!

Lamorak snorted coldly and stepped forward, placing herself in front of Agravain.

“Clang!”

She drew the rapier from her waist, assumed a fencing stance, and then shot toward Fatty Xu like lightning!

Lamorak, the Shining Knight, was a reinforcement-type empowered individual with a superhuman ability index of 9,500 points.

Her sword was so fast it blurred, leaving fragmented afterimages of her body in the air.

But Fatty Xu raised his arms, and with a “hiss,” the wrist armor snapped open, revealing eight spray nozzles.

Liquid Nitrogen sprayed directly at her, and white ice fog instantly engulfed the corridor ahead.

Lamorak’s body was frozen solid in an instant.

She strained and shook herself, and the ice and snow on her shattered into pieces with a “clatter.”

Fatty Xu had no intention of willingly donning a dog chain and becoming a captive. He glanced down at the Grand Scholar’s corpse, gritted his teeth, and ultimately decided to return him to dust.

He sprayed Liquid Nitrogen over the body, quickly freezing it into an ice sculpture.

Fatty Xu blew a breath at it, and a cold current swept over. The massive body exploded with a “bang,” scattering into countless ice particles.

This was an ice burial, claimed to be the cleanest method of disposing of a corpse in the world.

He knew he couldn’t defeat two Knights of the Round Table.

No, strictly speaking, even facing the combat-type Lamorak alone, he knew he was no match for her at the moment.

But now, at least, he had the courage to flee.

Compared to the cowardly, timid man he used to be, who would only cower in the face of a powerful enemy, he now possessed a shred of bravery.

Fatty Xu picked up the book the Grand Scholar had handed him before his death. Though the Grand Scholar hadn’t said anything, given that he had taken it with him even in a critical moment, it must have been an extremely important book.

Fatty Xu hugged the massive book and, relying on the exoskeleton mech’s capabilities, quickly ran outside.

Agravain watched the Grand Scholar’s corpse turn into ice particles and frowned slightly. She actually had some fondness for the old man.

But now that he was dead, there was nothing more to say.

“That fatty isn’t much of a big shot. Forget about him.”

But Lamorak said coldly, “In his hands, there’s a book that looks very important.”

After speaking, she pointed at her own neck.

Agravain sighed, and her body rapidly liquefied, turning into a pool of transparent liquid that slithered up her neck and into her body.

Lamorak immediately chased after the direction Fatty Xu had fled.

Thirty seconds later…

Fatty Xu stood frozen in place, not daring to move, not because he didn’t want to, but because a rapier was pressed against his neck.

If the opponent used any more force, the blade would slip through the gap in his mech’s joints and pierce his throat.

Even with the help of the mech, the vast gap in strength had foiled his escape plan.

“I thought you had some skill, but I didn’t expect you to be this weak. I really can’t figure out why Chaos brought you along!”

Lamorak said without any restraint.

Fatty Xu stared at the woman before him, her face full of mockery and contempt. A feeling of humiliation surged from deep within his heart.

He began to feel a bitter anger at his own weakness.

So without Zhang Yi’s protective wings, he turned out to be this weak.

At that moment, the tremor in the Holy Spirit Hall had already stopped. It was clear that this wasn’t an earthquake.

Yet a strong sense of unease still hung over everyone’s hearts.

Lamorak put a collar on Fatty Xu and said coldly, “Let’s go. I don’t have time to dawdle here!”

More than half an hour had passed since they were banished.

During this time, they should have quickly found the direction of the main entrance.

But the allure of the Divine Source fragments and the obstruction from other members of their own team had wasted a lot of their time.

And this was precisely the Grand General Baburu’s purpose in guarding the main entrance.

However, this method couldn’t trap them for long.

With the help of a modern Smart System, even if banished to an unfamiliar area, they could piece together the entire layout of the Holy Spirit Hall based on its previously observed exterior and the spatial information gathered along the way.

Though they couldn’t get a complete picture, it was enough to support their advance toward the main entrance.

Finally, Zhang Yi and Liang Yue completed their rendezvous.

Seeing that she had brought Mordred as a captive, Zhang Yi didn’t pay it much mind and only said, “Now only Fatty Xu is left! I hope that guy is okay.”

Fatty Xu might be weak in combat, but he was everyone’s cheerful goofball, as well as Zhang Yi’s usual chat partner and gaming buddy.

In the past, Zhang Yi had intended to train him, but leaving him alone really made Zhang Yi worry that someone might kill him.

Just then, Hua Hua sniffed the air, lifted his head toward Zhang Yi, and said, “I think I smell his greasy odor!”
