”Slytherin, huh...” Lynn muttered to himself after hearing Lockhart’s broken cries.

He could now be certain that Lockhart truly didn’t know where the diary had gone.

Did he really think Lynn wouldn’t notice such an obvious tell in a lie? Besides, it seemed no more valuable information about the diary’s whereabouts could be squeezed out of Lockhart.

Lynn put away his wand, indicating he had no more questions.

But tonight’s ”visit” wasn’t just for an interrogation.

Lynn turned to William. ”One-Handed Shell Bird! He’s all yours. Feel free to improvise.”

Hearing this, William rubbed his hands together and stepped forward, pointing his wand at the trembling Lockhart on the bed.

”Densaugeo!” William chanted decisively.

A beam of light hit Lockhart, and his front teeth immediately began to grow at an alarming rate, lengthening and protruding past his lips like two ridiculous little shovels.

Lockhart: ”Wuh! Wuh-wuh-wuh—! (My teeth! My image!)”

”That’s for stealing the diary!”

Lockhart tried to defend himself, slurring, ”Wuh, wuh-wuh~ wuh-un-un! (When did I ever steal a diary?!)” Unfortunately, his deformed front teeth made his words even more unintelligible.

Seeing that he not only refused to ”confess” but even dared to talk back with his ”wuh-wuhs,” William grew even angrier.

He flicked his wand again. ”Still making excuses! Eat Slugs!”

Lockhart suddenly felt his throat clog. He involuntarily opened his mouth, and a thick, slimy slug slid out, landing on the bedsheets and wriggling.

Lockhart’s face turned green.

”That’s for releasing the snake to attack the school! Making me end up in the hospital wing!” William’s rage intensified.

Lockhart: ”Www~ Blech—! (What the hell is a snake?! Blech—!)”

While dry-heaving, Lockhart tried to spit out more slugs.

”Still ’wuh-wuh’-ing?! Still spitting?!” William felt Lockhart’s state was practically a provocation against his revenge. He flicked his wand mercilessly once more. ”Looks like the punishment isn’t severe enough! Have some diarrhea!”

Lockhart froze, his face turning from green to white, then from white to a sickly blue.

He felt that familiar sensation again—an unbearable cramp in his abdomen and... an indescribable sense of urgency.

”Pfft—Splatter...”

Accompanied by a loud noise, a dark stain rapidly spread across the back of Lockhart’s pajamas.

Meanwhile, he continued to dry-heave uncontrollably. Slugs squeezed out one after another from between his deformed teeth and fell... ”firing” from both ends—vomiting slimy slugs from his mouth, and from behind... The scene was extremely gruesome, and the smell quickly began to grow ”rich.”

Edgar and Ollie, who were guarding the perimeter and blocking the path, showed shock and discomfort in their eyes even through their masks.

Edgar couldn’t help but gag, while Ollie silently turned his face away, his grip tightening on his wand.

Seeing this, Lynn thoughtfully waved his wand, casting a transparent Bubble-Head Charm on himself, Edgar, Ollie, and William, who was still focused on ”reasoning” with Lockhart.

To be honest, in Lynn’s eyes, William was such a good student; his revenge was so gentle...

Meanwhile, in a duty room on one of the floors of the Ministry of Magic.

A yawning employee on duty rubbed his nose and looked quizzically at his companion, who was frowning over a report.

”Hey, do you smell... something strange? Like something’s... gone sour? Or what?”

His companion looked up from the report and sniffed the air. At first, he didn’t notice anything, but a few seconds later, an indescribable, eerie, sour stench wafted in through the ventilation ducts and the cracks in the door.

”Blech—!” The companion’s face changed instantly. He gagged and quickly covered his nose and mouth. ”Merlin’s beard! What is that smell?! It seems to be coming from downstairs!”

The two looked at each other, both seeing the disgust in the other’s eyes.

Although the Ministry of Magic occasionally had strange smells—like escaped specimens from certain departments—a stench of this magnitude felt exceptionally out of place in the quiet of the late night.

”Blech... No, I have to go see what’s going on.” The first duty officer suppressed his nausea and drew his wand.

”I’m coming too! Blech—”

The second one also stood up quickly. Both covered their noses and mouths with their sleeves, frowning as they followed the increasingly nauseating scent toward the second floor.

Every few steps, they couldn’t help but gag, their faces growing paler...

Inside the interrogation room.

William was still providing ”supplementary education” to Lockhart, who was now a mess of tears and snot, covered in filth, and emitting a horrific odor.

It mostly consisted of various non-lethal but extremely humiliating and discomforting prank spells. Lynn leaned against the wall at his leisure, planning to leave once William had vented his anger.

Suddenly, Lynn straightened up.

No sound reached him, but his [Peters Jolt] gave a slight throb, as if eyes had fallen upon this area.

”Wait, I have a bad feeling about this!”

Almost the moment the words left his mouth—

”Blech—!”

”What’s that smell?! Who’s in there?!”

Clear sounds of gagging and shouting came from outside the door, followed by the sound of hurried, messy footsteps rapidly approaching!

”Shell Bird, Crutch, Real Man! Retreat! I’ll cover the rear!” Lynn instantly ducked behind the door, preparing to leave after his friends had gone.

William, Edgar, and Ollie didn’t hesitate for a second, pulling feathers from their pockets.

Bang! Bang!

With two heavy thuds, the thick oak doors of the interrogation room were kicked open from both sides!

Two duty officers, their faces pale as they covered their noses and mouths, wands glowing, rushed inside.

The first thing they saw was the room in disarray and Gilderoy Lockhart on the bed, undergoing ”multiple tribulations” and emitting a foul stench.

The second thing they saw was the figure wearing a silver mask by the door.

”Who are you?! Stop right there!” The two duty officers were both shocked and furious, their wands pointing simultaneously at Lynn, the only one remaining, as they barked their command.

They tried to make out the person’s features, but the mask and the dim lighting provided perfect concealment.

Facing the two wands pointed at him, Lynn wasn’t panicked at all.

He even had the leisure to wave at the two duty officers who had burst in.

”Hard work on the night shift, you two~ Smells good, doesn’t it? Until we meet again~”

Before his voice had even faded, and just a moment before the two Aurors’ spells could leave their lips, Lynn’s figure vanished completely with a soft ”pop.”

The two duty Aurors’ spells hit empty air.

The two of them held their wands, staring at each other in bewilderment.

”Just now... was that...”

”...Damn it!”

”Blech—! Pfft-pfft~”

The two of them glanced at Lockhart, who was still ”firing” from both ends.

”Let’s report this.”
