Helping Beautiful Women Become Stronger, I Have a Love System

198: Chapter 198 Blood for Blood”When you first got married, he started gambling. When he lost money, he would lose his temper with you and smash things. Back then, you thought he was just going through a rough patch and forgave him.”

”Later, he started hitting you. The first time, the second time, countless times.”

”You were covered in bruises from his beatings, hiding in your room and crying, not daring to tell anyone. Because for him, you no longer had any family to rely on.”

”He owed money to loan sharks and was being hounded for debts. With no way out, he thought of killing you for the insurance money.”

”He spent a week feigning tenderness to coax you, making you let down all your guard. Then he took you out onto the lake, personally capsized the boat, and watched you struggle in the water. He watched you slowly die, remaining indifferent, even acting out a plea for help on the side.”

”Today, the loan sharks cut off his finger and forced him to pay back the money. To save himself, he didn’t hesitate to hand you over.”

”He personally fed you aphrodisiacs and gave you to a group of thugs to be defiled.”

With every word Cao Kun spoke, Shang Yuya’s body trembled a bit more, and the hatred and pain in her heart deepened.

The pain she had deliberately tried to forget, the silent weeping in the dead of night, the despair of being covered in wounds—all of it was now laid out clearly before her eyes by Cao Kun.

”He never treated you as a wife. He treated you as a punching bag, an ATM, a tool to exchange for money, and a sacrificial offering to save his own life.”

”You gave everything for him, and in return, you got domestic violence, murder, betrayal, and degradation.”

”Now, if you just want a divorce and let him live a peaceful life, then all the suffering you endured, the tears you shed, the beatings you took, and the life you almost lost will all have been for nothing.”

Cao Kun’s voice was like a key, unlocking the long-buried hatred in Shang Yuya’s heart.

Her tears surged out as her body shook violently, her fingernails digging deep into her palms, leaving behind trails of blood.

Yes, she was far too unwilling to let it go.

Why?

Why should Lou Dong, who had committed so many evils, be allowed to walk away unscathed?

Why should she bear all the pain while only being able to flee in silence?

Why should a piece of scum remain at large while she has to live in the shadows for the rest of her life?

”I... I don’t want to let him off like this...” Shang Yuya choked out, her voice filled with desperate hatred, ”But what can I do? I don’t have the power to get revenge on him...”

Watching her hatred finally awaken, Cao Kun spoke slowly, revealing his plan: ”I have a way to make him pay the most agonizing price. To give him a taste of his own medicine.”

Shang Yuya snapped her head up, looking at him through tear-filled eyes: ”What way?”

”Do you remember the insurance Lou Dong bought for you both?” Cao Kun asked in a low voice.

”To keep you from being suspicious and to make the insurance fraud plan look seamless, he bought large accidental death insurance policies for both of you.”

”The beneficiary of your insurance is him.”

”And the beneficiary of his insurance is you.”

These words sent a shock through Shang Yuya’s entire body.

She remembered now. At the time, Lou Dong had held the two insurance policies and told her tenderly that it was for their future—that if an accident happened, it would provide security for the other.

Back then, she had been moved to tears, thinking he had finally stepped up to his responsibilities.

Only now did she realize it was just a part of his plan.

Cao Kun watched her expression and continued, ”He wanted to kill you to collect two million in insurance money. So, we’ll do the reverse. Let him die, and you, as the legal beneficiary, will collect the insurance money that belongs to him.”

”This is what it means to give him a taste of his own medicine.”

Boom!

Shang Yuya felt as if she’d been struck by lightning. Her face turned deathly pale instantly, her body stiffened, and she shook her head repeatedly, her voice terrified: ”No! Absolutely not!”

Though she hated Lou Dong to her very core, she had never thought about killing someone.

That was against the law!

She was just an ordinary woman; she didn’t dare, nor did she want to, walk the path of crime.

”No, no, no!”

Shang Yuya shook her head frantically, her eyes filled with fear.

”Mr. Cao, this method is too terrifying. I can’t agree to it! Killing someone means going to prison. I don’t want to break the law; I just want to live a peaceful life...”

She was trembling with fright. The hatred that had just risen was instantly suppressed by fear.

In her understanding, a life for a life was the natural order. No matter how bad Lou Dong was, she couldn’t personally cause his death.

Cao Kun had long expected this reaction.

He didn’t rush or pressure her. He just watched her quietly, waiting for her emotions to settle before continuing to guide her.

”Shang Yuya, let me ask you: when Lou Dong wanted to kill you, did he ever think about it being against the law?”

”When he watched you struggling in the water, wanting to drown you, did his heart ever soften?”

”When he fed you aphrodisiacs and gave you to thugs to be defiled, did he ever think about the fact that you were his wife?”

Cao Kun’s questions were increasingly sharp, each one piercing her heart.

Shang Yuya opened her mouth but couldn’t say a word.

He hadn’t.

Lou Dong had never thought about those things.

In his eyes, her life and her dignity were completely worthless.

”He tried to drive you to a dead end without leaving any room for mercy, yet you’re still thinking about not hurting him and not breaking the law.”

Cao Kun’s tone was calm but carried an indisputable power. ”In this world, your forbearance doesn’t guarantee peace. Kindness to scum is cruelty to yourself.”

”I’m not asking you to do it yourself, nor will I let you be touched by any blood, let alone have you bear any legal responsibility.”

”I’m simply letting you take back what belongs to you and making Lou Dong pay with his life for what he has done.”

”The insurance he bought has you as the beneficiary. This is a weapon he personally gave you. If you don’t use it, you’ll just be killed by him in the end.”

Shang Yuya’s eyes were full of struggle—on one side was her inner fear and moral compass, on the other was endless pain and hatred.

She looked at Cao Kun’s steady gaze, and Lou Dong’s evil deeds replayed in her mind once more.

The freezing lake water, the suffocating pain, the feverish heat of the aphrodisiac, the lewd smiles of the thugs, Lou Dong’s heartless back as he walked away...

All the pain converged into a surging tide of hatred that broke through her final bottom line.

She closed her eyes, tears falling silently, her body shaking violently.

After a long time—so long that the air in the room seemed to have frozen...

She slowly opened her eyes. The fear in them had been replaced by determination. Her voice was raspy but firm: ”I agree.”

”I want him to pay with his blood.”
