Global Mutation: Become Unbeatable by Plundering the Gods

123: The insane plan of God GeneAs the Fusion came to an end, Zhou Xing slowly opened his eyes and let out a long breath, his expression filled with immense excitement.

He could feel that his current strength was incomparable to before, having increased by at least several times.

Most importantly, having fused with a divinity fragment of the ”God of Simulation” this time, even if he were exposed in the future, he would have a sufficient excuse to explain away any other abilities he might display.

*Whoosh!*

Just as Zhou Xing stepped out of the Cultivation Room, Jiang Ming’s figure appeared directly inside the Villa.

”Greetings, Commander.”

Zhou Xing hadn’t intentionally concealed the aura of his Breakthrough, so it was no surprise that Jiang Ming could sense it.

”Hehe, I just happened to be observing the Training Camp and felt the aura of your Breakthrough. The Peak of Control—what truly enviable talent.

By now, you must have successfully fused with that divinity fragment of the ’God of Simulation’?”

”Yes, Commander. It went quite smoothly, allowing me to Breakthrough directly to the Peak of Control.”

Zhou Xing nodded.

”Very good. This way, even if you use various abilities later, you can use the information about the God of Simulation to brush it off. At most, it would be four elements, which isn’t enough to make Divine Gene act recklessly.

Besides, when the time is right, you won’t have to be so cautious anymore.

Divine Gene currently has its hands full, and with The Watchers and the Xia Country Officials behind you, your safety is basically guaranteed.

As before, just focus on increasing your strength as much as possible. The situation on Blue Star is becoming increasingly volatile. While I am still clear-headed, you Geniuses should accelerate your growth.”

Jiang Ming nodded with great satisfaction and then spoke.

”Commander, at your Realm, your divinity content is nearly at 100%. Have you not found a way to completely purge the Pollution of the Divine Will within the fragments?

According to Mentor Yue Hua, it’s very likely that Beast Emperors have appeared among the Mutated Beasts. Has the consciousness of the Beast Emperors already been overtaken?”

After some thought, Zhou Xing decided to ask.

”Telling you some things early might be a burden. However, with your talent, you’ll be able to reach the Law Realm or even become a Demigod within a few years. It’s time to tell you some things.

I was once one of the founders of Divine Gene, you should be aware of this, right?”

Zhou Xing nodded at Jiang Ming.

”Everything about Divine Gene came from a suddenly discovered Spatial Rift.

Three years before divinity fragments appeared globally on a large scale, Spatial Rifts had actually already appeared on Blue Star. Some were unstable, while others were safe even for ordinary people to enter.

Divine Gene discovered a wealth of advanced technical data, damaged equipment, and numerous divinity fragments within one of these Spatial Rifts, which eventually led to its gradual rise.”

At this point, Jiang Ming’s expression was full of reminiscence. ”But as the saying goes, there’s no such thing as a free lunch.”

His expression was complex. ”We were among the first batch of divinity Awakened Ones, and those records detailed how to rapidly increase one’s divinity content to enhance strength.

In just a few years, at least ten of us reached the Demigod level. It was then that the side effects of rapid advancement appeared, and this was also the reason we left Divine Gene.

It was that we Demigods advanced too quickly, completely failing to realize the severity of the divine will’s pollution.

Because several of them were severely polluted, we were forced to kill them.

Eventually, we split due to a clash of ideologies, as they insisted that the Pollution of the Divine Will could be controlled.”

Jiang Ming’s voice grew low, a flash of pain in his eyes. ”They even advocated for actively embracing the divine will, believing it to be the only path for humans to truly become gods.”

Zhou Xing’s pupils constricted. ”This... isn’t that just volunteering to be a vessel for a god’s resurrection? But once a god is resurrected, their own self-awareness would surely be erased?”

”That’s only the surface. Their true goal is to first achieve perfect symbiosis with the god. After understanding the god’s actual Cultivate system, they intend to use pre-prepared methods to directly devour or even replace the god’s Awakening will.

To achieve this, one’s Mental Energy must be strong enough. Through their experiments, they learned that the Mental Energy of Multi-element Awakened Ones far exceeds that of single-element ones.

They believe that if a person can simultaneously fuse three or more types of divinity fragments, it will produce a special Soul resonance ability.

This resonance can suppress or even destroy the divine will.”

Jiang Ming continued to explain.

”Suppressing or destroying the divine will? That must be just their speculation, right? Besides, at your Realm, it’s basically impossible to forcibly fuse additional divinity fragments.”

Zhou Xing looked confused.

”Indeed. That’s why they are trying to find a way for Multi-element Fusion, so they can possess Multi-element abilities themselves.”

”So that requires a large number of Multi-element Awakened Ones for experiments?” Zhou Xing blurted out.

”You’ve guessed correctly. The number of divinity fragments found in the Spatial Rifts was initially not very large, so the first batch of Awakened Ones appeared through Divine Gene’s controlled release.

Three years later, a large number of Spatial Rifts suddenly appeared high in Blue Star’s sky, and endless divinity fragments fell upon the planet. This gave those fellows at Divine Gene even more hope.

After various experiments, the divinity inhibitor was finally developed, making Divine Gene the savior in many people’s eyes. Relying on the divinity inhibitor, Divine Gene’s accumulation reached a staggering level.”

Jiang Ming sneered. ”In fact, the ’Divinity Synchronization Factor’ in those medicines causes the bodies of those suffering from divinity erosion to gradually change over long-term injection. If they can survive and Awakening, there’s a high probability of Awakening Multi-element abilities.

During this period, Divine Gene also mastered Divinity Fragment Transplant Surgery, which allows normal, ordinary people to become inferior Awakened Ones through surgical transplantation.

Little do they know, everyone who undergoes the surgery is an experimental subject controlled by Divine Gene. Without the divinity inhibitor, they would find life worse than death.

Eventually, when left with no other choice, they willingly accept more divinity fragment transplant experiments, which are essentially certain death.”

”But I and a few others disagreed with their methods because they were too selfish. All of humanity on Blue Star could eventually face extinction because of their experiments.

In our view, the Pollution of the Divine Will is not without a solution.

Ultimately, a great war broke out between us. Several Demigods died, and I and a few others broke away to create The Watchers. Whatever Divine Gene wants to do, we in The Watchers choose to oppose them.”

Hearing this, Zhou Xing finally understood the true cause of the conflict between The Watchers and Divine Gene.
