Chapter 567: Chapter 478 Transformation_1

Taiyi...

Even in legend, where the sun’s domain is included among divine duties, some believe the two to be one and the same. In reality, however, the difference between the Eastern Monarch and Taiyi is like that between the Cabinet Premier and the Emperor.

One, although seemingly glorious, is in essence just a high-ranking worker.

The other is the true ruler of all things and phenomena.

As the supreme deity of the Dongxia region in times past, this deity was one of the few formidable gods in the entire world. Indeed, many Scholars, after observations and deductions, came to believe that this god never actually existed, positing it was merely a fictional creation in response to the Sun God Eastern Monarch.

Otherwise, why would there not be a trace of divine nature left to this day?

Unfortunately, the demise and disappearance of the gods remains an unsolved mystery to this day, all the more so for Taiyi, who vanished thousands of years ago.

Whether its existence is fact or fiction is now beyond proof.

But now, Raven carelessly threw such significant news in front of Huai Shi, without any warning, almost causing his brain to crash on the spot.

”’Taiyi’... It truly existed?”

”Yes,” Raven calmly answered, ”It did exist, even if only for an instant... But this miracle undoubtedly once spread throughout the world.”

Huai Shi swallowed dryly, already feeling a bit eager. However, before that, there were some questions that needed clarifying.

”What’s the success rate?”

”Don’t worry about that,” Raven said. ”If you can make it, then it’s a hundred percent!”

”...”

Huai Shi was at a loss for words.

Am I just a guinea pig sent to scout the path? Is there a date with sudden death waiting for me tomorrow?

”Didn’t I tell you,” Raven looked at him innocently, ”that the Heavenly Kingdom Genealogy completed a total of seven and a half routes to sublimation? This is that other half...”

In fact, the Heavenly Inquiry Route was an unfinished product that Utopia was unable to complete before its downfall.

While it could be proven that this path to sublimation ultimately pointed to the Sun God Eastern Monarch, actual validation revealed that the Eastern Monarch was still not the theoretical limit.

There should have been a step further.

But no matter what method was used afterward, it was impossible to advance a single step further on this basis.

In countless simulation experiments, no matter the method used, the Eastern Monarch’s Stigma would directly collapse, turning into an unthinking, artificial sun.

Perhaps some prerequisite was overlooked, or perhaps there was a flaw that went unnoticed.

This was a tough challenge that persisted until the downfall of the Heavenly Kingdom. Even after Utopia split, no one had succeeded in becoming the Eastern Monarch, let alone trying for Taiyi.

”Rest assured, since I say so, I am definitely one hundred percent confident of success,” Raven consoled him. ”Besides, aren’t the Stigma growing on your body? Whether you want to or not is still up to you.”

As she spoke, she lifted her wing to pat Huai Shi’s shoulder, giving him a sincere and straightforward guarantee, ”Even if at that time you don’t wish to proceed to Taiyi, I definitely won’t force you!”

”Really?” Huai Shi asked doubtfully.

”Of course, it’s true!” Raven replied habitually, ”Would your sister ever deceive you?”

Huai Shi: ”...”

Raven: ”...”

In the silence, Huai Shi stared straight at Raven. She returned his gaze innocently, her eyes full of sincerity and kindness.

She appeared highly trustworthy, but Huai Shi couldn’t help the chill running down his spine.

It felt like her arrangement was already on its way...

”I have a question,” Huai Shi suddenly said.

”Yes, ask away,” Raven said.

”I want the truth. I need you to guarantee what you say,” Huai Shi said, his expression unprecedentedly serious as he stared straight at the deceitful woman in front of him, ”—Are you Taiyi?”

”Not at all,” Raven shook her head, asking back confusedly, ”What are you thinking? There are just three surviving gods in the Current Circumstances. Excluding the White Crown King, whose life and death are unknown, there’s only one in the American Genealogy and one in the Existence Institute. Do you really think if there were a living god, the Astronomical Society wouldn’t know about it?”

She paused, then suddenly became cheerful, ”Aww, do I really shine so brightly and grandly in your eyes? It’s really quite flattering.”

”...”

Huai Shi was speechless. She was indeed right.

There were only three surviving gods left: the White Crown King, whose life and death were uncertain; an extremely secretive individual within the Existence Institute; and the one from the American Genealogy who was barely upholding the current situation.

Beyond these three, it was impossible for any other god to remain in this world.

”Moreover, if I were a goddess...” Raven asked seriously, ”Wouldn’t you then be a whipped man?”

Huai Shi rolled his eyes again.

What was wrong with him to even think this unreliable, deceitful woman could be divine? If she were a goddess, wouldn’t this world have fallen into Hell long ago?

But even though he knew it was just his wild imagination, he still couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

He couldn’t help but seriously consider her suggestion.

Whether it was the Eastern Monarch or Taiyi, both were too far beyond his reach.

Right now, Huai Shi’s top priority was to master the Soloist’s Stigma. Otherwise, he hadn’t even touched her hand yet, so what was the point in thinking about what to name their future child?
