Chapter 498: Chapter 432 Beginning and End_1

The world fell into deadly silence in an instant.

Only the terrible wail of the upside-down giant tree burst forth, revealing vast wounds.

It was burning.

Directly targeted by Osiris, it received The Original Judgment, as if it faced the brutal force of a cosmic reboot—the embodiment of Original Chaos, the Primordial Essence. Even a whiff of this could trigger a terrifying chain reaction, re-evolving into the world’s fearsome and destructive brilliance at its creation and destruction.

That is why it is called the supreme judgment.

Before this judgment, all things are equal. Even the Remaining Evils of the World still fractured and were thoroughly torn in two!

No one knows how many Owners of the Great Mob from the Abyss were annihilated in its aftermath. Despite numerous obstructions, deep and ruinous wounds were left on Nowhere.

Then, the light of the Rainbow Bridge roared over from the Current Circumstances, fiercely clashing with the power of Nowhere. It seized this brief gap and struck with merciless full force.

The two forces collided, stirring a mighty tide in the Abyss.

For a moment, countless figures emerged, trying to fish in troubled waters. Amidst the continuous rumbling and explosions, countless figures crisscrossed and then scattered in a commotion.

The vast rush of the rainbow’s light engulfed most of the body of the Remaining Evils of the World, along with the mutilated corpse of the Rotten Dream Queen. It forcibly yanked them out from the Heaven Ladder Tether, brutally tore them down, sealed them, and then quickly vanished.

Subsequently, it returned and extracted the dominion of power that belonged to the Mirror World from the husk of the Remaining Evils of the World, then vanished into the distance.

During this process, the phantom of a white dove flashed by. It struck a golden figure with wings on its back, wrapped around the damaged head of the Rotten Dream Queen, and likewise disappeared into the void.

At the same time, a strange rat emerged from a large hole in mid-air, snatched a root of the Remaining Evils of the World, and bolted.

It was as though a hundred thousand looters had suddenly sprung forth.

The long-awaited fruits of Golden Dawn’s labor were snatched away in an instant. Only a small part of the carcass of the Remaining Evils of the World on the Heaven Ladder rail was left, preserving Matthes’s last breath.

The fire spread, then quickly extinguished.

Shortly after, Nowhere shook off the entanglement of the Deep Space Fleet and quietly disappeared into the Abyss.

The long-planned harvest operation went up in smoke, just like that, due to a report filed by a newbie from the Astronomical Society...

”That looks pretty bad,” Inside the cockpit, Huai Shi couldn’t help but shake his head and sigh.

Beelzebub didn’t say a word, just chuckled softly.

In the silence, Huai Shi heard the sound of Osiris shattering, his expression stiffening.

The last bit of luck in his heart slowly dissipated.

”What’s there to be sad about, Huai Shi?” In the projection, Beelzebub smiled. ”Isn’t this the best outcome? Golden Dawn failed, and the Astronomical Society has won again. I fulfilled my wish, barely avenging Auden for that arrow back then... Is there anything to regret?”

”...Yeah, it couldn’t be more perfect.” Huai Shi, exhausted, leaned back in his chair. He no longer had the strength to move and felt a splitting headache. ”If I had known, I wouldn’t have persuaded you.”

”Haha, why would you pin so many hopes on a book?” Beelzebub faced his end calmly. ”’Ralph’ is already dead, Huai Shi. *Lord of the Flies* should have ended long ago.”

”This is a good place to stop,” he said. ”This is enough, my friend.”

He smiled, gazing at Huai Shi, and told him, ”It’s great to have known you.”

”Me too.” Huai Shi closed his eyes, whispering farewell.

After a long, long, protracted silence, Beelzebub suddenly asked, ”So... does your place really have a 1,000 terabyte fiber optic connection? What’s the job like? Are there benefits, like social security and year-end bonuses?”

”Hm?” Huai Shi opened his eyes in astonishment.

Seeing only the greatly shrunken Steel book in front of him, he felt something was amiss.

”Why do you look like it’s strange that I’m still alive...?” Beelzebub asked in bewilderment, suddenly realizing something. ”Hey, you don’t think I was about to die, do you?”

”...After all those death flags you planted, you blame me for thinking you were going to die! What do you think!”

Huai Shi, furious, drew the Sacrificial Knife and pointed it at the cover of *Lord of the Flies*. ”After making me worry so much, you still have the nerve to turn this around on me? I’ll send you off right now!”

”Bro, don’t! I was just trying to set the mood! Didn’t you think the lines earlier were quite cool? I thought about them for a long time!”

Beelzebub cried out in a wretched tone, ”I’m really hurt, seriously injured! Look, the thread’s even come out... Go easy, go easy! And besides! There’s something else really important...”

”What?” Huai Shi also paused. He felt like he had really forgotten something critical.

”To tell you the truth, I was in Self-destruction Mode, overloading my output,” Beelzebub said awkwardly. ”But I seem to have dismantled the emergency eject mechanism and life pod...”

”...So?” Huai Shi, watching the countdown with only half a minute left on the display, started to feel his scalp tingle.

”So what are you waiting for? Run!!!!”

Beelzebub screamed, ”Osiris is going to explode!”

...

Before long, as Nowhere disappeared, Osiris, bathed in blazing light, began to crumble, dimmed, and finally exploded thunderously above the Endless Sea.
