The Devil Does Not Need to Be Defeated

Chapter 667: This is Awkward…

In the end, Shien Buztout agreed to go to the Shajin Clan’s settlement with Shajina.

This brought a look of delight to Shajina’s face.

Although Shien’s previous massacre had frightened her, after realizing that he wasn’t an unreasonable foreign expert, she developed a selfish motive.

That was to build a good relationship with this Legendary-level expert.

If they could establish a friendly relationship with a Legendary-level expert, it would definitely benefit the Shajin Clan.

Even if this expert was a human, not a demon, and might not be able to save them in a crisis, it was still good to have some hope.

So, Shajina respectfully welcomed Shien to their camp and led the way back to their settlement.

The other members of the Shajin Clan, seeing that Shien wasn’t putting on airs, also relaxed somewhat, but they still maintained a respectful distance, not daring to approach him.

Along the way, Shien asked Shajina several questions about the Demon Realm, learning about its situation.

Unlike the Human Realm, the Demon Realm didn’t have the concept of countries, but it did have different races.

Just as the Human Race encompassed humans, beastmen, dwarves, and elves, the Demon Race had an even greater number of races.

Although collectively called demons, they were different tribes, some large and powerful, some weak and insignificant, often bullied.

Since the Demon Race was a world where the strong were respected, the more powerful a being or race was, the higher their status and influence.

For example, Alid, who went to the Human Realm to confront Shien, attempting to transfer the divine power within him to Shien, belonged to a terrifying race in the Demon Realm – the Devil Race.

The Devil Race was a powerful race in the Poison Demon’s territory, with a small population of only a few hundred, but they possessed terrifying combat talent, every member reaching level seventy or above upon reaching adulthood, incredibly powerful.

In the Demon Realm, reaching level seventy meant becoming a Higher Demon and gaining a high status.

Since every member of the Devil Race reached level seventy upon adulthood, they were naturally feared.

The current Devil Race even had two Legendary-level experts, one the old clan leader, and the other an executive under the Poison Demon, Alid.

Therefore, the Devil Race held a high position in the Demon Realm and was even feared by other Demon Lord territories.

Unfortunately, Alid had been roasted by the Poison Demon, his survival uncertain.

Also, Chibul, the three-headed, six-armed demon executive under Millu, belonged to a powerful race in the Demon Realm.

It was said that they were a cruel and bloodthirsty race called the Gluttonous Yin Clan, capable of gaining power and continuously strengthening themselves through special blood sacrifice rituals.

Chibul wanted to extract Shien’s blood and devour his power through a blood sacrifice ritual. He was indeed very bold.

Of course, his fate was even worse. Millu, who had no sense of restraint or morality, and had even learned the “Exploding Finger Kill” from Shien, blew off his head and arm, likely crippling him for quite a while.

In short, the Demon Race had many different races, some with astonishing racial talents, creating a race known for its unparalleled combat strength, even surpassing the God Race.

Out of curiosity, Shien asked Shajina a question.

“Then what’s the strongest race in the Demon Realm?”

“Naturally, it’s the Dragon Race,” Shajina answered without hesitation, “Dragons reach level eighty or above upon adulthood and possess the unstoppable dragon breath ability. Their scales are also incredibly tough, providing high defense. Once they transform into humans, not only does their strength greatly increase, but they also awaken a Unique Skill with one hundred percent certainty, gaining the [Dragon Transformation] ability, which can multiply their power by at least threefold. The Dragon Race is undoubtedly the strongest in the Demon Realm.”

“Uh…” Shien was speechless.

Well, his Dragon Demon “fiancée” was indeed quite impressive.

After all, the Dragon Race was her subordinate.

And his own mount was also a dragon.

He truly had a connection with the Dragon Race.

Shajina didn’t know that this Legendary-level human expert beside her was the Dragon Demon’s future husband. Otherwise, she would definitely be shocked.

According to Shajina, the Dragon Race, the strongest in the Demon Realm, resided in the Dragon Demon’s territory and had many subordinate races.

Races like the Earth Dragons, Dragonmen, Wyverns, and Salamanders, who were closely related to dragons and possessed some dragon blood, were all subordinates of the Dragon Race.

The Dragon Race and their subordinates lived together in the Dragon Demon’s territory, and due to their blood relations, they didn’t fight amongst themselves.

Therefore, the Dragon Demon’s territory was the most peaceful in the Demon Realm, even more so than the rapidly developing, prosperous, and human-like Moon Demon’s territory, where conflicts occasionally occurred.

As for the other territories, conflicts were constant.

Although the Demon Lords were united, the Demon Realm was ultimately a world where the strong were respected, so they didn’t oppose internal competition, which kept the Demon Race strong and ferocious.

“Our Succubus Territory is relatively peaceful. The Succubus isn’t fond of conflict, preferring pleasure, so the atmosphere here isn’t very combative.”

“The Hoof Clan you eliminated earlier doesn’t have a fixed territory in the Demon Realm. Like locusts and bandits, they plunder weaker races. We, the Shajin Clan, were unfortunately targeted by them this time. Otherwise, although we’re not very powerful, we still hold a certain position in this Savage Demon Territory thanks to selling the monsters we raise, and the surrounding races generally don’t want to offend us.”

“If we were in the Poison Demon’s or the Ghost Demon’s territory, we would have probably been annihilated long ago.”

Saying this, Shajina smiled wryly.

According to her, the Poison Demon’s and the Ghost Demon’s territories were the most competitive.

Especially the Ghost Demon’s territory, the outer region of the Demon Realm, also known as the Chaos Domain, where hundreds of races fought for supremacy, a constant display of survival of the fittest, with conquests and massacres happening daily, making it the territory with the most frequent wars.

The Poison Demon’s territory, due to its harsh environment and limited resources, also had frequent conflicts and wars between races.

Then there was the Beast Demon’s territory, where monsters outnumbered demons, and the races there usually formed alliances to fight against the threat of monsters, making it a relatively dangerous territory.

Compared to these three territories, although the Succubus Territory wasn’t as peaceful as the Dragon Demon’s or the Moon Demon’s, conflicts between races weren’t too frequent.

This time, the Shajin Clan was unfortunately targeted by the bandit-like Hoof Clan.

Shien learned a lot about the Demon Realm from Shajina and was even warned by her.

“Many races in the Demon Realm aren’t very friendly towards the Human Race, believing them to be mere vassals of the God Race and inherently weak, generally looking down on them.”

“Especially recently, with the news of the Hero being summoned again, although he’s engaged to the Dragon Demon, many demons still harbor strong hostility and vigilance towards the Human Race and even the God Race.”

“I heard that members of the Old Demon Faction have also been frequently appearing in various territories, inciting the races and trying to disrupt the order of the Demon Realm.”

“At this juncture, Master, your appearance in the Demon Realm might attract unwanted attention. Please be careful.”

Shien thought to himself,

(Sorry, I am that Hero.)

While thinking this, Shien also realized once again that the Hero’s existence had a greater impact on the Demon Race than he imagined.

(It seems things will be interesting from now on.)

Shien thought nonchalantly.

At the same time, the Shajin Clan’s settlement was already in sight.

…

A settlement.

It referred to the base where a clan resided.

Unlike the Human Realm, the Demon Realm didn’t have the concept of countries, only territorial boundaries, and the environment in each territory was different, causing the various demon races to mostly occupy their own territories.

The Moon Demon’s and the Succubus’s territories were relatively better, at least having cities, but the other four territories were different, without cities, only regions and districts.

Therefore, the Demon Race’s ecosystem was somewhat similar to that of the Beastmen and Elves, each race occupying its own territory, living like nomads or tribes.

The place where their clan resided was their settlement.

The Shajin Clan’s settlement was located near a forest in the Savage Demon Territory.

This area was suitable for raising and capturing monsters, making it a good habitat for the Shajin Clan.

In the Demon Realm, many races lived in territories not entirely suitable for them, forced to stay there for various reasons.

The Shajin Clan, having such a settlement that was more or less suitable for them, was better off than those impoverished races.

However…

“…Aren’t there a bit too many beauties in this Shajin Clan?”

Shien looked at the surrounding Shajin beauties, who didn’t dare to approach him, whispering and pointing at him, and was speechless.

Shajina’s expression was also a bit awkward.

Then, she stammeringly told Shien something.

“Actually, in our Shajin Clan, besides our skill in raising monsters, the number of women also overwhelmingly exceeds that of men. The birth rate of girls is very high, and they’re all quite beautiful. That’s why our ancestors chose to settle in the Succubus Territory.”

Shajina’s explanation made Shien speechless.

Was he lucky?

This was awkward…

Chapter 668: Did I Enter a Brothel?

Shien Buztout had always felt he wasn’t a protagonist.

But when it came to his luck with women, he felt he had the makings of one.

When he first arrived in this world, as an adventurer, his team members were all stunning beauties.

He knew the true identity of the unparalleled princess, hailed as the most beautiful woman in the Human Realm, and naturally became engaged to her.

One of the Six Demon Lords, at the apex of the Demon Realm, was now his fiancée.

He also deflowered a beautiful elf girl, breaking a long-standing tradition.

He even “plucked” the young lady of the Elvenbein family, who secretly received the Goddess of Fate’s blessing and shared the same lineage as the Kingdom’s Treasure.

Finally, he even visited the Elven Homeland, filled with only beautiful girls, becoming the only non-elf male welcomed by the Elves since the previous Hero, spending half a month in that land of female elves.

And now, having arrived in the Demon Realm and experiencing an unexpected incident, he was being hosted by a tribe renowned for its beautiful women?

With such luck with women, Shien couldn’t help but think he had the protagonist’s aura.

Come to think of it, when he dealt with Mara and found the High Priest’s secret base, entering the underground dungeon and rescuing Capeline, he also feasted his eyes there, right?

Were those who reincarnated into another world destined to build a harem?

Bathed in the curious gazes of the Shajin beauties, Shien, his feelings complex, was led by Shajina to an impressive-looking building.

There, a group of people welcomed his arrival.

“Welcome to the Shajin Clan’s settlement. Please forgive us for our inadequate hospitality,” said the Shajin standing at the forefront of the welcoming party with utmost respect.

He was an elderly man, seemingly over fifty, his hair not yet white, but with wrinkles at the corners of his eyes, and fish-like scales covering half of his face, making him look formidable.

“Father,” Shajina bowed to the man.

This elderly Shajin was the Shajin Clan Chief, Shajina’s father, a Higher Demon at level seventy-nine, close to eighty.

“How should I address you?” Shien asked, sizing him up, feeling a sense of wonder.

According to Shajina, the Shajin Clan was a relatively weak race in the Demon Realm, with few powerful individuals, thus residing on the outskirts of the Succubus Territory, an insignificant tribe among the numerous demon races.

However, even such a weak tribe had a Higher Demon close to level eighty.

If such a tribe was considered weak and insignificant, how terrifying were those truly powerful races?

And how powerful was the Demon Race as a whole, with so many races?

Shien felt he had glimpsed the true strength of this race that even the God Race couldn’t defeat.

While Shien was lost in thought, Shajina’s father, the Shajin Clan Chief, was also amazed.

“You can call me Sharion,” the Shajin Clan Chief said.

“Although I received Shajina’s message beforehand, knowing that a Legendary-level human expert would grace our settlement with their presence, I didn’t expect you to be so young.”

Clearly, the stark contrast between Shien’s youthful appearance and his strength surprised the Shajin Clan, including Sharion.

Shien also knew that displaying Legendary-level strength at his age was astonishing, even in the Demon Realm.

To avoid suspicion, Shien said casually, “You flatter me, Clan Chief. I only look young. I’m actually close to fifty. Thanks to the blessing of a God Race goddess, I’ve maintained my youthful appearance.”

“I see,” Shajina said, as if realizing something.

“Please just call me by my name,” Sharion said, his respectful attitude unchanged, “You are a Legendary-level expert. Even in the most powerful Stone Woman Clan in the Succubus Territory, you would receive the highest level of hospitality, treated as an equal to the Clan Chief. Our small and weak tribe on the outskirts is not worthy of your respect.”

His attitude was incredibly humble.

But this was the Demon Realm, a world where the strong were respected.

Here, weakness was a sin. Even if you were a goddess of the God Race or the king of a powerful human nation, without sufficient strength, you wouldn’t be respected.

Conversely, as long as you were powerful, unless facing some races with extreme ideologies, even if you were human, you would receive a certain degree of respect.

This atmosphere was similar to the martial Ragna Empire, only more extreme in the Demon Realm.

Thinking of this, Shien didn’t hold back.

“Then I’ll call you Sharion,” he said, accepting Sharion’s offer.

Sharion smiled faintly and led Shien into the building.

Besides Shajina, only a few high-level Shajin experts accompanied them.

They didn’t dare to neglect Shien, giving him the highest level of courtesy.

Shien was led into a hall and sat down with Sharion.

Sharion immediately ordered the best wine and food to be served, even summoning the Shajin Clan’s beautiful dance troupe to perform in the hall, singing and dancing.

Honestly, Shien had never received such enthusiastic hospitality.

Especially since the Shajin Clan was indeed renowned for its beauties, their dance was a feast for the eyes, almost making Shien forget his original purpose.

After the performance, Sharion even had two of the most beautiful Shajin women come to Shien’s side, pouring wine and massaging his shoulders.

Shien felt like he had entered a brothel, feeling awkward.

(It’s a good thing Lilith and Yulin aren’t here…)

Shien thought, relieved.

After all, this scene wasn’t suitable for children.

Of course, if Lilith and Yulin were here, Sharion probably wouldn’t have provided such entertainment.

Shien could tell that this Shajin Clan Chief was very meticulous and intelligent, constantly observing his every move and expression. If he showed any signs of impatience or displeasure, Sharion would immediately change the entertainment.

Clearly, this Clan Chief wanted to win Shien’s favor.

If there were children here, and Shien showed any discomfort, he would probably immediately change the scene.

This made Shien unsure whether to be relieved or frustrated, his feelings complex.

Seeing the Shajin beauties beside him becoming bolder, their massages moving towards inappropriate areas, Shien quickly returned to the main topic.

“Sharion, you should have heard about my purpose for coming here from your daughter, right?”

Shien asked, struggling to resist the temptation.

“Yes,” Sharion turned to Shien, “You’re here to see the Succubus, right?”

“More or less,” Shien didn’t deny it, “I heard she resides in the central region of this Succubus Territory, right?”

“Indeed,” Sharion nodded, “The Succubus’s castle is in the Succubus Domain, in the central region of the Succubus Territory. Riding our clan’s fastest flying monster, it would take about three days to get there.”

“Three days?” Shien pondered for a moment, then asked, “Then can I meet the Succubus after arriving in the Succubus Domain?”

“That…” Sharion smiled wryly, “I can’t answer that question.”

Before Shien could respond, Shajina spoke.

“Although the Succubus’s castle is in the Succubus Domain, how could a weak and insignificant tribe like ours possibly contact such a high-ranking being?” Shajina sighed, “Not to mention our Shajin Clan, even the Stone Woman Clan, rumored to have three Legendary-level experts, rarely sees the Succubus. Only the Legendary-level expert who became one of the Succubus’s executives sees her relatively often. Others, even the Stone Woman Clan Chief, who’s also a Legendary-level expert, rarely see her.”

Although Legendary-level experts held a high status and were considered overlords in the Demon Realm, compared to Demon Lords, they were still insignificant.

Therefore, even Legendary-level experts, unless they were executives, rarely had the chance to meet a Demon Lord.

“Especially someone like the Succubus. Among the Six Demon Lords, she’s the most difficult to meet, besides the reclusive Dragon Demon who’s usually asleep.”

Sharion’s words piqued Shien’s curiosity.

“Why?” Shien asked, “Does the Succubus rarely go out?”

The answer, however, was unexpected.

“No, the Succubus is different from the Dragon Demon. She doesn’t stay secluded, but frequently goes out.”

But…

“It’s precisely because the Succubus frequently goes out that every appearance of hers causes a huge commotion,” Shajina said with a sigh.

“If she frequently goes out, then why is she so difficult to meet?” Shien was confused.

Shajina answered seriously,

“Because those who meet the Succubus are ultimately unwilling to leave her.”

“The Succubus is the most seductive and beautiful being in this world… no, in all of Omnipotence.”

“Everyone who meets her, whether male or female, becomes her captive, driven mad by her.”

“Every time the Succubus goes out, she is stopped.”

“Therefore, Master, it might be difficult for you to meet with the one you admire.”

Shajina’s serious words finally made Shien understand.

Suddenly, Shien was slightly startled.

Wait…

“Admire?”

Did… did he hear wrong?
