The Devil Does Not Need to Be Defeated

Chapter 345: “Next time I win, I’ll…”

After an unknown amount of time, Cosmos finally stopped trembling.

In mid-air, the celestial bodies that had been continuously releasing ribbons of light had stopped, only maintaining their celestial-like rotations and revolutions as their starlight began to dim.

And in the center of the stars, the white wings were now riddled with holes and scorched black.

“Bang!”

Finally, as if unable to hold on any longer, the closed white wings suddenly shattered, scattering into countless feathers.

Amidst the feathers, Katarine’s figure reappeared in the air, but as if exhausted, her body slumped, her head drooped, and she fell directly towards the ground.

“Thud!”

A moment later, the Imperial Princess crashed heavily onto the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust, barely clinging to life.

Only then did Shien descend from the sky, carrying countless celestial bodies, and land back on the ground.

“It seems I’ve won.”

With these words, Shien smiled slightly and waved his hand. The celestial bodies surrounding him immediately vanished, leaving only a dazzling, galaxy-like glimmer.

“It’s over.”

In the distance, Lasha finally spoke, her voice still calm and composed.

Even though a fierce battle that ordinary people would definitely consider a disaster had just occurred before her eyes, this maid, with a level of only five and almost no combat ability, could remain so calm. It had to be said that this was truly a skill.

But it seemed that not only Lasha possessed this skill, but also Emerald.

Emerald was as if she had just watched a play. Apart from blinking her eyes with a hint of drowsiness, she wasn’t frightened at all.

On the other hand, Airi looked at Shien deeply.

“Your strength has improved really quickly.”

This Hero was growing extremely fast, far exceeding Airi’s expectations.

“Although I don’t know what his Unique Skill is, if he can be this strong without using the Holy Sword, I guess it won’t be long before he truly reaches our level.” Ꞧá𝐍Ŏ𐌱ËS̩

That’s what Airi thought.

As for the female knights who were bound on the scene, seeing their princess defeated like this, their faces still held strong shock and disbelief.

“Princess Katarine actually lost…?”

“How…How is this possible…!?”

They seemed unwilling to believe what was before their eyes.

After all, they had witnessed Katarine using her full strength and still being defeated.

Moreover, she wasn’t defeated by one of the legendary powerhouses renowned throughout the human realm, but by a young nobleman they had never even heard of before.

“How could Princess Katarine lose to someone her own age…?”

“Even if the opponent were that Kingdom’s treasure, the Princess couldn’t possibly lose so easily!”

“How…How could he be so strong?”

“This is a joke, right…?”

The female knights of the Severed Blade Knights looked at Shien with eyes full of shock and anger.

Shien glanced at them, then waved his hand, releasing the restraints on the female knights.

“Princess!”

“Princess!”

The female knights, having just regained their freedom, immediately reacted and rushed towards Katarine, anxiously checking her condition.

“Don’t worry.” Shien curled his lip. “She just lost all her magic power and stamina, that’s why she collapsed from exhaustion. She’s not seriously injured.”

Having been afflicted with so many negative Advanced effects, and still stubbornly fighting, using her Unique Skill to withstand the onslaught of [Starry Arrays], it was impossible for her not to collapse from exhaustion.

But it was just exhaustion.

Apart from exhaustion, the Imperial Princess had no other problems.

“I’ve already removed all the negative status magic on her. After a good night’s sleep, she’ll be bouncing around again.” Shien smiled at the female knights. “If you understand, then quickly take your princess and get out of here.”

“You…!?”

Shien’s merciless words angered the female knights.

“What about me?” Shien said nonchalantly. “She’s allowed to say a whole bunch of things in front of others, but others aren’t allowed to say a harsh word to her? Give me a break!”

Saying so, Shien looked at the female knights.

“When your princess wakes up, tell her that I welcome her to come find trouble with me anytime, but don’t let me hear her say another word about Roselucia behind her back.”

“Otherwise…”

Shien showed a brilliant smile.

“Next time I win against her, I’ll strip her naked right then and there.”

Those words enraged the female knights.

“Hateful Kingdom person!”

“Despicable Kingdom noble!”

“Filthy adventurer!”

“Damn bastard!”

The female knights hurled insults, showing no trace of the nobility and elegance of knights.

Shien narrowed his eyes and snapped his fingers.

“Bang!”

The armor on one of the female knights who had been cursing the loudest suddenly shattered, scattering fragments of steel across the ground.

“Ah!”

The female knight screamed and crouched down, covering her body.

Because they wore heavy armor, these female knights seemed to be wearing very revealing clothing underneath, so when the armor shattered, everything that should be covered and shouldn’t be covered was exposed.

“What!?”

“Be careful!”

“You…What did you do…!?”

The other female knights were shocked. Some hugged the exposed female knight, while others glared at Shien, seemingly even more furious.

Shien still looked unconcerned.

“This is just a small lesson.” Shien said with a smile. “I’m not afraid to tell you, I have the [Armor Destruction] skill, and it’s maxed out. I don’t need to touch you. As long as I’m within a certain distance, I can just snap my fingers like this, and all your armor will be destroyed. Unless you’re wearing something tight underneath, otherwise…”

These words caused fear and apprehension to gradually appear in the eyes of the female knights, along with their anger.

Clearly, they were all wearing revealing clothing under their armor.

Of course…

“Don’t think it’s just armor that can be destroyed.” Shien’s smile became even brighter. “If I wanted to, I could directly use Bestowal Magic to apply the ‘Tear’ effect to you. Then, what do you think would be left on your bodies?”

The female knights’ faces turned pale, and they subconsciously hugged their delicate bodies, looking indignant but not daring to speak out.

Shien was very satisfied with their expressions.

“Remember my words, and tell them word for word to your Imperial Princess.” Shien glanced at Katarine. “If you want me to personally come and strip you all naked, then you can pretend you didn’t hear anything.”

Leaving those words behind, Shien turned and walked towards Airi and the others.

“Scoundrel…”

Seeing Shien leave, a small curse came from the group of female knights.

“Bang!”

“Ah!”

The next second, another shattering sound and a scream echoed as another scantily clad female knight tearfully crouched down.

Shien then withdrew his snapping fingers and returned to Airi and the others.

“Alright, let’s go.”

Shien spoke as if he had just done something insignificant.

However, this still couldn’t prevent him from being scorned by the girls.

“…Do you think you can pretend nothing happened and it’ll be like you didn’t do something despicable?”

Airi looked speechless.

“…It seems Mr. Shien is still young and impetuous.”

Even Lasha seemed to want to sigh.

“?”

Only Emerald, as if she didn’t understand or see anything, tilted her head with a question mark above it.

Shien gave a dry laugh and said no more.

The group then left together.

The female knights of the Severed Blade Knights watched Shien’s group leave with resentment, then spoke one after another.

“Quick! Take the Princess back!”

“Bring out the high-grade magic potions!”

“Let’s go!”

Saying so, the female knights, while protecting their two exposed, tearful companions, and also protecting the exhausted and unconscious Katarine, left the place.

Gradually, the constantly moving buildings in Cosmos stopped.

Everything returned to calm.

Until a while later, a group of knights hurried over.

“…!?”

Yuri, who was leading the group, was the first to see the scene. His pupils constricted, and he stopped in his tracks.

“What…What happened here…!?”

Sona also stopped, her face full of shock.

“…”

Limgir was silent.

The other knights who came along, looking somewhat disheveled, looked at each other, seemingly stunned by the scene before them.

What appeared before the knights was a battlefield that had been completely reduced to a ruined pit due to the fierce battle.

Chaotic magic power still flowed in the air, causing the knights to gasp.

The knights could fully imagine just how intense the battle that had taken place here was.

“Commander…”

“Uncle…”

Sona and Limgir looked at Yuri with unpleasant expressions.

After all, among everyone here, Yuri was undoubtedly the strongest.

But…

“The people who fought here are probably stronger than me…”

Yuri said these words with a heavy expression.

This made everyone speechless and silent.

A terrifying thought even arose in Limgir’s mind.

“Could it be him?”

The face of a hateful person appeared in his mind, causing Limgir to quickly shake his head, unwilling to believe what he was thinking.

At the very least, Limgir was unwilling to believe that the person who had become a thorn in his side was actually stronger than him.

Even though the other party had once subjugated a branch of the Old Demon Faction and was rumored to have fought against the Princess and subsequently earned her appreciation, Limgir still didn’t want to believe that he would lose to the other party in terms of individual strength.

As for the near-annihilation of the Kingdom Knights, that had already been considered by many to be Yulin’s doing, not Shien’s.

In short…

“Cosmos is going to become even more chaotic…”

Yuri’s murmur, as if announcing the coming of a storm, was filled with an inexplicable persuasiveness.

The future of Cosmos was destined to become even more chaotic.
