Kill The Old Ones!

--

Ren already had enough theoretical foundation. All that’s left was execution, which didn’t take long at all.

It took him one night to write everything down and condense it into something that’s easy and simple to understand. Even making the breathing formula wasn’t too difficult for him.

Once he’s done, Ren discovered that it’s already five in the morning. He had completely forgotten to sleep. But he didn’t mind.

Not only was he not tired, he felt energetic even. It’s not really a problem for a practitioner of his level to skip a night or two of sleep; his body and mental state would be just fine. Anything beyond that, though, is not advised.

Anyway...

Ren condensed the [Green Lotus Core Technique] into a book that has 100 pages, which was surprisingly thin, especially compared to other written forms of martial arts out there.

But what it lost in volume, it made up with simplicity and ease of practice. Ren wasn’t really one to write down too much profound nonsense that nobody understands. He’s not in the position to act deliberately mysterious.

The accompanied exercise of the Green Lotus Core Breathing Technique was a bunch of stretching inspired by yoga and Pilates. You can finish an entire cycle in fifteen minutes. The book had clear and concise instructions on how to do each stretch.

It literally couldn’t get any more complicated than that. Just follow the damn instructions in the book and breathe when you’re instructed to breathe. Once you start seeing your body glowing with a faint green radiance and you feel a rush of warm current coursing through your entire body, that means you’re doing it right.

Continue from there, finish one cycle, and all the chakra you converted during this time will be converted into the Green Lotus Core Chakra, which automatically flows through your entire body, covering it with a thin film of green radiance.

This chakra is the warm, gentle, soothing, and slow-healing chakra that’s only beneficial to you. It will protect your body from the inside out. If it touches an injury, be it a fresh one or a very old one, it’ll automatically start scrubbing it away, persistently.

It may not succeed today, tomorrow, or this week, but so long as you continue using this technique every single day, the injuries in your body will eventually be healed and restored.

What’s even better is that the more consistent you are with this technique, the more receptive your body will be towards this chakra to the point it’ll turn instinctive.

Having the green lotus core chakra will always be better than having none at all. Isn’t that just fantastic?

And remember, this chakra does not compete. You can replace your daily stretches with this. The effects of your stretches won’t degrade; it’s the opposite, actually. This is major improvement!

After about 15 minutes of using this technique, you’re good to go! You can move on to your personal choice of martial arts and use your usual breathing methods. There will be no complications at all and no attribute clashes.

While Ren did say that he wasn’t aiming to make a miracle. The fact is, he just did.

The Green Lotus Core Technique is one of a kind. While the concept of improving stretches wasn’t new to this world, nobody thought about doing it this way.

Ren personally tested it himself, and as expected, it worked beautifully.

The warm, gentle, and soothing chakra felt incredibly nice. It’s like soaking in a hot bath after a long day of work. And if his calculations were correct, the protective and slow-healing film of the green lotus core chakra on his body should last for a full 24 hours before needing replenishment.

This transcends the martial realm. Even somebody on the Foundation Strength Stage could convert enough chakra to green lotus core chakra that will remain attached to their body for a whole day.

This also applies to Pulse Awakening Stage practitioners, to Inhuman Realm practitioners, and even to Celestial Realm practitioners!

Everybody can use this technique, even ones with missing limbs. The green lotus core chakra could even be infused into a paralyzed target, and with how gentle and noncompeting it was, it’ll have no problems attaching to another target as well.

If this wasn’t a miracle, then all else wouldn’t qualify.

This is what Ren was capable of doing with this miraculous cheat of his. This was only the start, a taste of how far his potential could go.

But the real reason why Ren went this far was because he wanted to prove something.

That as much as he could do harm with his talent and martial arts, he could make something that benefits many people as well.

He wasn’t some lunatic who’s only obsessed with making and practicing martial arts to bash the skulls of his enemies.

There are many facets of martial arts that remain unexplored by this world.

Ren went from one extreme—making an actual ’Demon Art’—to another, creating this miraculous and eternally beneficial martial art that is the Green Lotus Core Technique.

He wasn’t showing bias to one side of martial arts over the other. He’s willing to explore all if he could, and he’s very willing to do so, especially since he’s still young and has a lot of time to spare.

Ren continued on with his day like normal. However, he did review the details of the Green Lotus Core Technique, both its stretching exercises and breathing formula.

He practiced it and refined it throughout the day. He didn’t even practice with his usual martial arts. He just focused on the Green Lotus Core Technique for now.

Ren didn’t mind skipping his usual routine since he had a very good reason for doing so. Besides, he stretched his body all day long; he feels warm all over; his body was properly warmed and cheering in happiness with the presence of the green lotus chakra attached to it.

There’s basically no difference if he practiced as usual or just used the Green Lotus Core Technique.

But the reason why he focused on this the whole day was because he’s preparing for something.

Ren planned on submitting the Green Lotus Core Technique to the World System for appraisal.

Yes. That’s a damn huge deal.

Ren wasn’t ignorant to the sheer scale of what he made here. Being familiar with the story of this world, Ren knew just how revolutionary his creation was.

He knew how beneficial this could be for the entire human race, especially those who constantly risk their lives in dungeons. Even the common folk who weren’t blessed with immense talent to pursue martial arts will benefit immensely from this.

And Ren...he wants to leave a mark. A legacy, if you will.

No, he’s not planning on dying early. He hasn’t lived long enough just yet and hasn’t seen everything he wanted to see in this world for him to die in peace.

He just wanted to leave a proof of his existence. A proof that, once upon a time, he was here. And he made a difference.

With the Green Lotus Core Technique at hand, Ren got more than a chance to make this happen. And he plans on doing it this night; that’s why he’s ironing out the details in the technique itself.

Because of what he’s about to do, Ren was understandably nervous.

Well, anybody in his position would feel the same. Hell, the fact that he wasn’t freaking out even more was already mighty impressive.

One has to know that what he planned to do wasn’t something that anybody could just casually do. Not everybody could just demand the world system’s attention just because they made a new martial art that they thought was cool.

First of all, the World System is an existence that predates humans and their martial arts. It’s something that even the Grand Martial Union—the prime governing body of the human race—and its council of martial gods cannot subdue.

It works with humans; it doesn’t work for them. It’s an independent existence, similar to the honor rolls above the sky.

Also, the World System is incredibly strict. It operates with its own set of rules. It’s known to not give face to humans even though it works with them when one of its core instructions is violated—a fact that endlessly frustrates the GMU.

But at the same time, it’s also for this reason that Ren chose the World System instead of the GMU.

Although he’d face the strictness and unique set of astringent rules that the World System has, at the very least, it will be completely fair to him.

The Green Lotus Core Technique won’t be buried under the endless mountains of new martial arts on the GMU’s table. Ren wouldn’t have to wait for ages to get a reply.

And more importantly, the World System won’t coerce him into doing something he doesn’t want to do. It won’t turn him into a slave or a puppet that only follows orders.

This isn’t to say that the GMU was completely corrupt. It’s just that there will inevitably be some rotten apples among the good batch of harvest.

And Ren could not guarantee that his creation won’t fall into the hands of those he doesn’t approve of.
