What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company?

I found myself slowly coming awake.

Yawning, I tried to get out of bed only to find that something was pressing down both of my arms, preventing me from getting up.

Panic rose up within me until I realised that the weight came from a naked Lea and Amber who were both fast asleep and using my arms as pillows.

I think it’s quite clear what the three of us had been doing last night before we fell asleep.

I sucked in a breath and slowly slid out from the bed, making sure to lower the two girls onto the bed softly to avoid waking them up before I finally managed to get myself out of the bed.

I looked around the room and managed to gather the discarded clothes on the ground to dump them in a pile in the corner of the room. Those would have to be thrown in the laundry later. Also… I’m going to need to add a laundry basket into the list of things we need to buy…

I then hopped into the shower to wash myself of last night’s ’activities’ before changing into a clean set of clothes.

The two girls were still asleep so I just left the room quietly and proceeded to head towards the bridge.

On the way there, I was once again reminded of how big the ship was as I walked through the empty corridors with only the hum of the engines accompanying me.

Ascending the stairs to the bridge, I found Ries seated at the pilot seat, looking out through the cockpit windows at the stars that had turned into streaks of light flying past us.

”Good morning~” I greeted cheerily, announcing my presence.

Ries jumped and I saw her ears and tail stand up on end before she relaxed when she saw it was just me.

”Oh Boss. Good morning. Sorry, I was spacing out a little…”

”Well, you were alone on the bridge so I wouldn’t be surprised if you were occupied in your thoughts. Anyway, you want to grab a quick bite?”

Her ears perked up, ”I’d love to, Boss!”

She had just gotten out of her seat before looking back at the pilot console, ”But… Is it ok to just leave it like that?”

I waved at her, ”It’ll be fine, we’ll only be gone a while. Come on~”

She didn’t need me to tell her twice as she quickly skipped over to my side and we headed over to the dining area.

I’ve already had a chance to test out the appliances yesterday and I have to say that my Credits were definitely well spent on them.

Just the stoves themselves were already pretty amazing since they not only had a lot of different functions, the food made using them seemed to taste even better than normal.

That opinion was not limited to me because the others also thought so and they were practically moaning with each bite of my food that they put in their mouths.

When we reached the kitchen, I directed her towards the island counter while I went behind it to prepare breakfast for us.

As I went to prepare the ingredients, Ries took a seat on the counter before smiling at me.

”What are you making today, Boss?”

I considered the things laid out in front of me for a moment, ”Hmm… I think I’ll go with something simple… Lea harvested the potatoes recently so I think we can make something with them… How about some roast potatoes and some potato and egg omelette?”

Or in my old universe, this would be called a Spanish potato omelette.

”Want me to help?”

”It’s ok. This one’s quite easy to make so you can sit there and just be my eye candy by being cute.”

”Ny… Nya?”

”I’m kidding. You’re always cute, Ries.”

”A… Ah… Thank you… Boss…”

I wasn’t really looking in her direction since I was busy preparing the potatoes so I wondered why she sounded so weird at the end.

When I turned back, she seemed to be hiding her face for some reason. Maybe because she felt embarrassed by me calling her cute?

That’s cute.

I went back to preparing the potatoes while I struck up a conversation with her, which I could easily do thanks to the appliances here.

Like seriously, I could just toss the potatoes into this prep machine, push a button and it will do the peeling and slicing for me automatically.

Now I can see how people have lost the skill to cook over time…

”So how have you been settling in, Ries?” I asked.

Her ears perked up and she turned back to face me with an excited look in her eyes, ”Oh! The ship is as amazing as I thought it would be, Boss! Having my own workspace really changed everything! There’s enough space for me to work on all my projects!”

I went to start up the stove and heat a layer of oil on a skillet, ”Oh? And what projects are you working on right now?”

”I heard that Boss also wants a set of Power Armour, right? That’s what I’m trying to build now!”

I paused in my action of adding the sliced potatoes to the skillet, ”Wait… You can also build a Power Armour? Oh wait, what am I talking about? You initially offered to build an Exo-Knight for me… Power Armour should be easier to make than that.”

She grinned, ”Yep~ I’ve already started on some designs so maybe once we dock at a station to start our shopping, I could find the parts I need to make one!”

”That would be very nice, Ries. Thank you,” I thanked her, stirring the potatoes that were inside the skillet to coat them evenly with the oil.

I had also added some chopped onions in there as well and I was waiting for them to turn golden brown.

”So where would we be going to find our stuff, Boss? That pleasure station wouldn’t be selling any of the things we need anyway.”

”I was thinking of going to a place called Theeve Orbital Habitat station. Have you heard of it?”

She shook her head, ”Unfortunately not, Boss. What is that place known for?”

”It’s… Err… I actually don’t really know but I have a contact there that I want to catch up with. And there’s stores there that we can buy stuff from,” I explained, taking out the prepared potatoes from the skillet to leave aside while I prepared some eggs.

There was a rather soft ’oh’ coming from Ries before she asked, ”Who is it?”

I started beating the eggs, ”She’s a Gene doctor and an information broker.”

”Oh… Do you have sex with her too?”

I poured the onion and potatoes into the beaten eggs before pausing for a moment, ”Yes.”

”Unn… I see…”

I peeked behind me to see her ears drooping slightly.

Oh wow… Is she being jealous?

I’m going to just pretend I didn’t notice that…

I seasoned the mixture with salt and pepper before covering it and letting it sit inside the bowl.

”Could you wake Lea and Amber up for me, Ries? Tell them breakfast will be ready soon. Thanks.”

She seemed to recover from her moodiness when she heard my request and she quickly leapt out of her seat to give me a cute salute, ”I’ll be right on it, Boss!”

She then ran out of the kitchen, looking really cute.

I went back to the skillet and drained some of the oil out and waited for a few minutes before opening the egg, potato and onion mixture to pour it evenly on the pan.

Deciding that it would be nice to add in a little mix, I took some bits of synthbacon I mashed together to throw it inside as well, watching it sink into the egg to cook with it.

Just as the sides of the egg were starting to cook, I took a plate to cover the skillet before flipping it over.

With the potato omelette now on the plate, I placed the skillet back on the stove before letting the omelette slide back onto the pan, this time to cook the underside.

Right then, the door opened and Ries returned with a sleepy Amber and Lea, both of them yawning and rubbing their eyes until the smell of food wafted to their noses.

All three girls practically rushed over to take a seat at the counter.

”Tera! What are you making? That smells so good!!” Amber asked.

”You’ll see,” I chuckled.

The omelette was finally ready and I took a large plate to drop the omelette on top of it before taking enough forks for all of us to serve the potato omelette with.

Placing the plate in front of the girls, all of them were already practically salivating over the potato omelette I had made.

”Well, breakfast is served~ Eat up!” I chuckled, taking a bite of it for myself.

Mmm~ This is definitely nice.

”Tera!! Marry meeeeee!!” Amber begged after taking a bite of it.

Yes, yes… Just eat the potato omelette Amber.

Mmm… Yep, this is definitely good~
