Primordial Villain with a Slave Harem

Chapter 966: Infiltrating

The night swallowed them whole. They knew the difficulty they were facing coming to this place. There could be numerous people in the level 50s and even some in the level 60s. That’s why Ayame’s group engaged in guerilla-style warfare; they knew a full, head on confrontation was suicidal. Their only job was to stall until the infiltration group got the job done.

Blossom was the first to vanish, her form flickeringno, glitchingout of existence. A shimmer of fractured space, a ripple of unreality, then nothing. She was gone. Void magic devoured her presence. Only the faintest distortion in the air, that was, if one knew exactly what to look for, betrayed where the Void Stalker now hunted.

Kitsara, by contrast, didn’t bother disappearing. Instead, the world itself lied on her behalf. Her form blurred into that of a harmless-looking little butterfly, blending with the wind, the trees, and the ground. Where her figure stood a mere moment ago, there was now just open air and empty forest, and the little insect flapping its wings happily.

Feng... Well, Feng tried her best to keep up with the ladies. Her footfalls grew lighter, her breathing quieter. But she wasn’t a master of stealth; her class wasn’t all about that. She was here for other things she could provide. With that being said, what she lacked in finesse, she did her best to make up for in sheer determination.

She didn’t have to feel too much pressure about holding the group back because she wasn’t the only one who wasn’t cut out for stealth. Despite his myriad of spells, Quinlan also lacked the ability to just disappear on demand.

They were less than a mile out when the first patrol appeared. Three armored knights in emerald cloaks, lanterns swinging in their hands, weapons sheathed at their hips. Complacent. Relaxed.

Quinlan couldn’t help but have flashbacks to how the guards were acting in the outpost where they met Iris and Rosie’s parent Geim. That outpost hadn’t been invaded in centuries, so the soldiers weren’t on high alert.

Quinlan didn’t even have to give instructions. He didn’t need to. His women were predators trained far beyond the standards of most combatants. They knew what they needed to do.

A ripple of violet static flickered. One knight’s head tilted. ”Did you hear-”

*Crunch!* A gurgle. His body seized as Blossom’s clawed gauntlet plunged into his throat from nowhere. These people weren’t weaklings, however. Alastair Greenvale wasn’t a man who lacked in funds or manpower. He didn’t need to station low-level nobodies to protect his assets. There were probably no guards below level 30 here, perhaps not even below 40.

Despite Blossom’s claws tearing clean into his throat, the knight didn’t fall instantly. His eyes snapped open wide, instincts and battle-hardened reflexes overriding the agony. A surge of mana flared from his body, with his free hand rocketing upward to grab her wrist in a grip. His other hand shot for the sword at his hip.

”Ghh!” he snarled through the blood gushing from his ruined windpipe. His grip tightened even further.

But Blossom wasn’t some alley-tier assassin. She pushed off his chest with both legs, twisting her arm unnaturally to avoid his counter-grip. His sword cleared only halfway from the scabbard before...

*Snap!* She kicked his elbow inward, dislocating it with a sickening crunch. His sword hand spasmed, blade dropping. His knees buckled... and his life was snuffed out in the next moment when the Void Stalker closed in on her target for the second time.

At the same time, a butterfly flew above the second guard’s location.

*Fwoosh!* In an instant, Kitsara shimmered back into her true form, fangs bared in a fox-like, sadistic grin. Twin daggers plunged straight into the gaps under the female guard’s armpits, right where the chestplate met the pauldrons. Purple poison foamed on the blades, sizzling against flesh.

But even with her lungs punctured, the knight didn’t keel over instantly. Her high Vitality kept the woman moving. Her armored knee shot up, aiming to break Kitsara’s ribs, only for her tails to shimmer just before two of them detached, splitting off into perfect mirror images of herself. Each clone brandished a dagger coated in the same toxic brew.

The first mimic slid low, aiming for her lower body. The second darted to her blind side, sinking a dagger into the base of her skull where the helmet split at the neck. Kitsara herself closed in as well, delivering a strike of her own.

*Krrrk!* Her body seized one last time, fingers spasming as the poison overwhelmed her nervous system. Her knee collapsed. Her sword fell. Then her body followed. ṚâNо𝐛Ès̩

Just when the first two guards were ambushed, the third guard was attacked as well. He barely had time to shout before something utterly incomprehensible happened in front of him.

”[Dice Roll!]”

Feng’s hands glowed, throwing a chaotic sigil into the air. A ghostly roulette wheel materialized, spinning wildly between icons of bombs, fireworks, confetti, bananas, and something labeled simply ???.

The wheel landed on... slime bucket.

SPLOOSH! A massive glob of fluorescent green slime appeared out of thin air and collapsed directly onto the knight’s head, slamming him into the dirt with the force of a truck. His helmet spun off, vision coated in ooze.

”Wha?!” he barely managed to gasp because in the next moment...

*FWOOSH.* A gale roared.

Quinlan was already moving, wind swirling around him, cloak snapping backward. His body blurred with the supernatural acceleration of [Elemental Stance: Gale], making an emerald-blue cyclone trail in his wake.

The knight never even fully processed what was happening.

*SHIIING!*

The obsidian edge of the Soul Reaper flashed, bisecting flesh, muscle, and bone in a single clean stroke. His head lifted clean off his shoulders, spinning once in the air before thudding into the grass.

His body stood for a moment, as if refusing to accept that it was dead. But in the next moment, it lifelessly collapsed forward.

A crisp [DING!] echoed in both of their minds.

Quinlan’s read:

[You have slain Arrund (Level 42).]

[You’ve gained 39,000 XP.]

Reading the kill notification, a dark smile emerged at the corner of Quinlan’s lips. His hand casually lifted, fingers flexing as green-tinted wind essence spun around his knuckles, showing that [Elemental Form: Gale] was active.

This was one of the abilities of the Harbinger of Aeons class he gained from the primordial trial in Zhenwu, the thing he grinded his ass off for. And while he already used this ability before to slay his lovers in bed, finally getting to use it to massacre people just hit different.

Furthermore...
