God-Tier Extraction Talent: Reincarnated in a Game-like World!

Chapter 592: The Plan

The Emperor’s Shadow Guard moved through the Buried God’s Tomb like a silent, weightless ghost.

As a master of stealth, his speed was terrifying. He rushed through the dark corridors, expecting to find the Core Suppressing Spike humming with siphoning energy and the drained corpses of the geniuses reinforcing the seal. It was a cycle that had kept the Tianlan Continent stable for hundreds of years.

But as he reached the grand archway leading to the final chamber, his breath froze in his throat.

The air was completely quiet. There was no sound of the massive mini giant guardian with the axe patrolling the area. The ground was covered only in a cold, dispersing silver mist, the dying remains of a defeated sentinel.

“The guardian is… dead?” the guard whispered, his heart hammering against his ribs.

Panic, cold and sharp, seized his chest. He quickened his pace, stepping into the grand chamber.

The ten meter tall iron gates leading to the Core Suppressing Chamber were cracked and pushed wide open. The heavy black chains that had locked them for centuries lay shattered on the stone floor like useless garbage.

The guard rushed through the open gates, stepping into the absolute center of the tomb.

The sight before his eyes made his blood run completely cold.

The giant, thirty meter tall Core Suppressing Spike was completely dark. The blinding white siphoning runes that used to glow on its metallic surface were dead, and the massive chains hung loose and useless.

He looked down into the deep, jagged crack directly beneath the base of the spike.

The fissure was completely empty.

The giant, pulsing, golden crimson heart of the Death God was entirely missing.

“No… this is impossible…” the guard gasped, his face turning paper white under his hood.

The heart had not been destroyed. If it had, the god’s power would have exploded and vaporized the entire mountain base. Someone had physically reached into the crack, lifted the beating heart of a god, and carried it away.

The source of the Tianlan Imperial Family’s supreme power was gone.

A wave of absolute, primal terror washed over the shadow guard. He knew that if the Emperor found out about this, the entire continent would fall into chaos. He did not waste another second. He turned around and fled out of the collapsing tomb at maximum speed, desperate to report this world shattering news to the palace.

Meanwhile, in a quiet, secluded safehouse located in the outer ring of the Capital, the atmosphere was heavy.

The other guilds, Broken Dawn, Olympus, and ChaosKnight, had already left the Capital, returning to their respective bases to recover from the devastating, bloody expedition. Only Gabriel, Liang, and Evelyn remained behind in the secluded wooden room.

Most of the ChaosKnight members had already respawned, and they were shocked to learn that the terrifying woman had been defeated. IceQueen, whose initial goal had been the treasure, had asked Gabriel about it, but he had said there was no treasure.

And truly, there had never been one. The whole expedition had been based on a lie to lure them over.

The only person who truly gained something was Gabriel, something he was very pleased about because if he had wasted this much time away from his guild for nothing, he would have been genuinely pissed.

Presently, Liang sat at a small wooden table, his pale face resting against his hand. His chest was still bound in tight, blood stained white bandages, and his breathing was shallow and rough. He was no longer the proud, reckless cultivator of the Martial Palace. He was a permanent cripple.

But his eyes were no longer filled with despair. They burned with cold determination. His mind, freed from the arrogance of his past strength, was sharper than it had ever been.

Beside him, Evelyn stood quietly, her hand resting on her sword hilt. She looked at Liang with a mixture of worry and fierce loyalty. She had chosen to follow him into the abyss, leaving her own sect behind.

Gabriel stood near the window. His white phantom mask reflected the dim candlelight of the room, his eyes calm and unreadable.

“My father’s power is not his own,” Liang spoke, his flat voice breaking the silence. “The Golden Dragon Qi of our family is siphoned directly from the god’s heart in the tomb. But since the Core Suppressing Spike is now dead, the Emperor’s power will slowly begin to dry up.”

“But he is not weak yet,” Evelyn added, her voice tense. “The Emperor still has massive amounts of siphoned energy stored in the palace.”

Gabriel had already taken note of this. But there was something he did not mention as well, and that was the stats. It seemed the normal people did not know about them. Those stats alone made the Emperor impossible for Gabriel to defeat, even if he used all of his tricks.

“She is correct,” Liang nodded, tapping his finger on the wooden table. “Beneath the palace lies the Golden Dragon Array. It is fueled by five massive Core Array Stones buried deep in the palace underbelly. As long as those five stones remain intact, the Emperor and his Golden Dragon Guards can use their full siphoned power.”

Liang pulled a piece of parchment toward him, drawing a crude but detailed map of the palace’s secret underground tunnels.

“We must sneak into the palace underbelly and destroy those five Core Stones,” Liang said, his eyes flashing with a cold, calculating light as he looked up at Gabriel. “If we smash them, the array will collapse. The Golden Dragon Guards will be stripped of their power, and my father’s Golden Dragon Qi will be cut in half. That is the only way we can level the playing field.”

Gabriel looked at the detailed map, a cold, sharp glint appearing behind his mask.

Liang’s value was immediately proven. He was no longer a physical fighter, but he had become the cold blooded mastermind of the rebellion, holding the keys to the Empire’s deepest secrets.

“I will destroy the stones,” Gabriel said softly, his calm voice carrying an icy tone of absolute confidence.

“But we won’t do that now,” he admitted.

Liang did not seem offended. Instead, he only nodded.

“I understand. Going against him right now is no different from courting death.”

Late that night, the safehouse fell into a dead silence.

Liang and Evelyn had already gone to sleep in the adjacent rooms, exhausted from their long journey and injuries. Gabriel sat alone cross legged on the wooden bed in his quiet room, the candle on the table flickering softly.

He was completely alone. No one was watching.

It was finally safe to use his deepest secrets.

Gabriel opened his system inventory. In a flash of dark light, he retrieved the physical loot drops of Mo Shiyun, the Ancient Demonic Scripture and the Bone Mask.

The dark, heavy scroll of the scripture lay in his palm, humming with a cold, faint trace of her ancient energy. Gabriel placed his right hand flat against the scroll, his eyes glowing with a cold, greedy light as he whispered:

“Extract.”
