Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 1970 Net

1970 Net

Sam didnʼt hurry in this test.

He levitated in the air and moved in a particular direction at a leisurely pace. Whenever he spotted a candidate, he went down and initiated the fight. Even before the barrier could fully form, he finished the fight.

It ended with at most three hits.

The tests are easy.

Sam guessed that even the remaining players will have an easier time in this realm. None of the peers are their competitiors.

Many candidates who already focused on Sam are now second guessing. If they had a choice of ganging up, then they would have a much better chance, individually at their current state they donʼt see it happening.

But one group among them, which is led by one of the seed candidates still decided to try their luck.

After all, Sam is the public enemy number 1, so if they really take him down, it is going to bring them a great fortune. They will be heroes among their peers and of course the leader of the group obviously wants that glory.

So, after Sam finished over a dozen fights, he decided to execute his plan.

He tracked the path Sam is taking along with his group and made some preparations with them. The group blocked Samʼs path after a while.

Sam looked at them and said.

”I would really like to take you all on, but the competition doesnʼt encourage group fights. It is really tempting though.”

The leader of the group didnʼt mind Samʼs taunts instead, he just handed something over to his lackey before sending him forward.

”Remember what I told you. Just stick with the plan, donʼt do anything unnecessary.”

With those instructions, the rest of the group backed down a bit.

Sam is also a bit curious about what this plan could be. He didnʼt have to wait for a long time to find out though.

The first guy who stood relatively far away from Sam, threw a bunch of tokens towards him. Even though they looked like tokens, they are actually very small formation discs. They landed at various spots around Sam and created a formation net.

Lightning was shot out and created a web around him. This is considered an attack from the guy on Sam.

Now, the area between Sam and the guy which is quite big is considered as a battlefield.

The guy took out dozens of formation discs and started throwing them. While he is doing that, he is very vigilant about what Sam might do. He didnʼt want to end up getting his ass kicked by Sam while he did all of that.

But Sam didnʼt even bother to move.

He watched as the new lightning strands appeared from the formation discs. They are attaching to the existing lightning net and the net is exceeding.

Looking at Sam who didnʼt make any move, the crowd outside the barrier are feeling a bit puzzled. They didnʼt understand his choice of action. If they were in his shoes they would have immediately made a move on the opponent to stop the spreading net.

They are at least not dumb enough to think that Sam is stumped and shocked as he stood there.

The opponent within the barrier on the other hand, gained a little bit of confidence. He increased the pace and stopped watching his back. His defense is extremely lax. He placed all the discs and the lightning net was ready.

Sam extended his hand and was surprised how the lightning invaded his body. It is almost like it has a consciousness of its own. It tried to attack his meridians and muscles to make paralyzed and the density of the lightning is very high.

Looking at how even Sam backed down, the opponent felt more and confident. He attached a special token to his own body that let him move through the net and not be effected by the lightning. He went on and started attacking Sam with medium ranged attacks.

Sam didnʼt have much room to move around. If he is going to be effected by the net, then he would have to stand there almost stationary and block the attacks.

So, he did exactly that, he used his hands to block the incoming attacks. But the other party didnʼt just want to restrict Sam there. He wanted to make use of the net to reduce Samʼs endurance.

He used the formation discs to throw projectile lightning attacks from different sides to force Sam from moving.

But Sam didnʼt do that. Surprisingly he even took some attacks directly rather than move. Showcasing how adamant he is.

This made the opponent a bit angry and frustrated. He tried to throw a few more attacks at a faster pace, but Sam managed to still block all of them. The leader who is watching from outside is also a bit stumped.

The plan is that once Sam had no other chance than moving away forcefully going through the net, then he would suffer from fatigue and muscle paralysis because of the lightning. But he is not doing that.

Still he wanted his lackey to stick with the plan. The problem is the lackey had a whole different thought in his head.

He wanted to try his luck and gamble at a chance to take Sam down.

So, he made a move. He closed the distance between himself and Sam and wanted to take Sam into the net. Since he wouldnʼt be effected, he would be able to deal with him.

But to his surprise as soon as he made his move the token on his chest deactivated. He was caught in the net and his body stopped moving. He felt like his muscles were being torn fiber by fiber.

Sam looked at this and sighed.

He waved his hand and the kid reached the near death state. His defeat was confirmed and the barrier was gone before the formation kicked the kid out.

The next was still there though.

Sam looked at the leader of the group.

”To keep a contingency like that. You are really something. You donʼt even trust your own subordinates?”

”When there are clear benefits the same subordinates donʼt backdown to betray me. How can I trust them so easily?” He answered directly.

Sam looked at the rest of the subordinates whose expressions changed a bit.

He shook his head in disappointment.

”Your name Alric right? A seeded candidate, who is on par with the recommended kids?”

”So, you do know me? You must have did your research properly.”

”I wish I didnʼt know you. My memory is being wasted just to remember the likes of you. You just sucked the joy out of the whole test for me. So, whatever happens next, is completely on you.”

”What are you going to do? You are trapped in a lightning net. That is a special net designed by one of the greatest formation masters that this academy has ever produced. It might be a watered down version, but the likes of you cannot just defeat it with brute force.

And as long as I have the controlling core of the formation, you are trapped there. I will exhaust you bit by bit and defeat you.”

”Great plan. But I have been saying the same thing for everyone who made these kinds of plans to deal with me in all the entrance examinations until now. I am going to say it to you too.”

”What is it?”

”Know your enemy, you fucking amateurs.”

As soon as he finished his words, his body turned silver. Partial lightning fusion was activated. Silver lightning snakes appeared out of his body and invaded the lightning net. The blue lightning of the net instantly turned silver. The whole net became Samʼs.

He looked at the shocked opponents and said.

”As I said before, the current situation is purely because of you. I canʼt believe I am wasting time playing house in an academy that considers people like you as seeded candidates.”

As soon as he finished that line, the net responded weirdly. More and more strands and ropes of lightning started emerging, the area the net covered increased rapidly.

When one of the lackeys within the group fell within the range of the new net, the barrier activated immediately. Except for Sam and him the rest of the people were thrown back.

Sam didnʼt even need to make a move, the net tangled the guy and defeated him, the barrier was gone and it caught another guy as it expanded more.

The leader of the group, Alric immediately made his move, but his attack landed on the barrier. Sam finished the second opponent automatically with the net before he moved further.

Just like that, Samʼs spree of victories started. The only problem is the lightning net is not designed to kill, but rather defeat the opponent with muscle destruction. For Sam achieve complete death with it, he would have to compromise on the speed.

But right now, he is in a hurry to make a mockery of this exam.
