The Sinful Young Master

Chapter 326: Break her sword and her spirit

Preeyonka raised her cracked sword above her head with both hands, and divine power began to pour into it like water filling a cup.

The weapon started to glow brighter and brighter until looking at it directly was like staring into the heart of the sun. The pattern along its length began to move, crawling across the metal like living things, rearranging themselves.

”Keth’moara’s Judgment!” She cried and brought the sword down in a strike that seemed to tear a hole in the void.

It was the technique her father had given her. She didn’t have a chance to use this technique before, as it was very powerful and she didn’t meet anyone that strong to use it against.

The attack was aimed at Jolthar and the whole surroundings around him.

The energy was blowing off of the broad as it moved in her hand; she was in a stance that showed she was fully in control of the powerful weapon.

Jolthar squinted his eyes, seeing the change in the air between her and the broadsword.

If he deflected that attack, it would be a devastating blow to the people and the city.

Jolthar had learned things in his contact with the primal chaos that even gods did not fully understand.

The purple colored energy of chaos swirled around his hands as he was ready to meet the strike head-on.

As the powerful strike descended toward him, Jolthar’s body was engulfed in pure purple flames.

Then the strike landed on Jaenor as he met it with bare hands.

BOOOM!!

The impact when divine judgment met chaos-touched flesh was like two mountains colliding.

The ground cracked in a perfect circle around them, spreading outward for hundreds of feet. Windows in nearby buildings exploded inward, and several people in the crowd were knocked off their feet by the shock wave.

The divine power was colliding against Jolthar’s chaos; it was like flares pushing against each other, and it burned brighter and stronger as the seconds passed.

For a moment that seemed to last forever, the two forces strained against each other. Preeyonka’s sword blazed with the pure authority of the divine realm, while Jolthar’s hands burned with purple fire that existed in the spaces between worlds.

The air around them began to tear like fabric, showing glimpses of the void that lay beneath reality.

Then, slowly, impossibly, Jolthar began to push the blade back.

”No,” Preeyonka gasped, pouring more and more of her divine heritage into the weapon. ”This cannot be. I am Deivruta. I am the daughter of a deity.”

”And I,” Jolthar said, his voice carrying across dimensions, ”am something your father never imagined.”

With a final surge of power, he twisted his hands and pulled the sword into his side, and then with a swift movement, he punched the sword in the middle.

CRACK!

Preeyonka’s eyes went wide, seeing the blade broken in half.

She was stupefied, to say the least.

The weapon that had been forged in the realm of gods, that had never known defeat in two centuries of battle, broke like a twig in a storm.

She couldn’t believe that Jolthar broke her sword with just a punch, and the attack was cut off from her, and it couldn’t deliver its potential.

The backlash of divine power breaking sent Preeyonka flying backwards.

She crashed into the fountain at the center of the square, and the stone structure crumbled around her like sand.

Water mixed with her blood as she struggled to rise, her crystalline armor now shattered in a dozen places.

Jolthar walked toward her slowly, his hands still burning with purple like fire. Each step left glowing footprints in the stone, and the air around him rippled like heat waves rising from hot metal.

”You were right about one thing,” he said as he approached the ruined fountain. ”Age and divine blood do grant certain advantages. But they also make you predictable. You’ve been fighting the same way for two hundred years, using the same techniques, relying on the same sources of power.”

Eude and Gales remained lying on the ground, not daring to move. Gales was really astonished seeing Preeyonka use such power, and she seemed to be even stronger than him, and he was completely unaware of her true potential after travelling with her for more than a decade.

But what shook him to the core was that Jolthar had simply snapped her sword, which she treated as the strongest weapon, like it were nothing.

Cold sweat formed all over his body; he was practically shivering from dread, seeing Jolthar.

Eude seemed like he would die if anyone just touched him. His expression was really troubling, as he was terrified.

Roblan was fisting his bumps in excitement, seeing how Jolthar was showing them hell.

Preeyonka struggled to her feet, drawing on reserves of divine power that ran deeper than mortal understanding.

Golden light began to flow through the cracks in her crystalline armor, healing her wounds and restoring her strength. Her eyes blazed with renewed fury as she faced Jolthar once more.

”You think breaking one weapon will end this?” She snarled, and another broad sword materialized in her hands, this one crackling with raw divine energy.

But it wasn’t the same as before; it was just a replica of the previous one.

”I am a deivruta! I carry the blood of Borehym, Deity of Winds and Storms! I will not fall to a mere mortal!”

The battle resumed with even greater intensity.

Preeyonka’s new weapon cut through the air with such speed that it created sonic booms, each strike backed by centuries of divine training and power that could level mountains.

But Jolthar met every attack with his bare hands, his chaos-enhanced flesh turning aside blows that should have split him in two.

They moved across the square like forces of nature unleashed.

Where Preeyonka’s blade struck the ground, deep cuts appeared in the stone.

Where Jolthar’s feet touched, purple fire burned permanent marks into the cobblestones. The very air around them began to tear from the violence of their clash.
