Lu Qing had some speculation regarding the reason the Heavens had sent the nine of them to this place, and it wasn’t so different from what Lu Ye had said.

That was the reason he readily decided to join Purple Star Palace after learning about the current situation in the Peerless Continent.

He wanted to make use of the power of this Hidden Realm as well. However, he had a feeling that Lu Ye had more information than the rest of them, especially when the latter came up with his demands earlier that day.

After some probing, he still couldn’t get any useful clues. As such, he could only give up.

It wasn’t like he could threaten Lu Ye with brute force as he was weaker. If the three of them got into a fight with him, they would end up in a miserable state.

He stared fixedly at Lu Ye and reminded him, saying, “I hope it’s just as what you’ve told us. However, there’s one thing I hope you’ll keep in mind. This place isn’t Jiu Zhou, so we’d better set our differences aside for the time being.”

The three of them then left the place. After being seated for a while longer, Lu Ye rose to his feet and stepped out of his room.

The sky was all dark. In the Peerless Continent, there were no Stars or a Moon. Only in the day would they see the turbid Sun. As such, even the cultivators wouldn’t go out at night.

According to ancient books, the Peerless Continent was not like this before the Divine Transformation. There was a bright Sun in the day and a sky full of Stars and a Moon at night. Nonetheless, everything changed after the Divine Transformation.

Lu Ye moved swiftly and soon arrived at a Spirit Peak, where a person was standing there.

Upon noticing his presence, the person turned around and nodded at him. “Cultivator Lu!”

“Palace Master Pang.”

The person was none other than Pang Huanyin. It was one of the taller Spirit Peaks, and she seemed to be looking at the lights at the bottom.

“You must be exhausted from all the travelling. Why are you here at this hour instead of getting some rest?”

She was shocked deep within. How did he know she was there? This place was quite far away from the Spirit Peak where Lu Ye and the others resided. It was unlikely that he could find out her whereabouts.

“Aren’t you here instead of getting some shut-eye as well?” Lu Ye stood beside her.

Pang Huanyin smiled without responding to him. It wasn’t like she could tell him that she had wanted to look for him, but she stopped in this place as she was hesitant. Much to her surprise, Lu Ye came looking for her instead.

Lu Ye didn’t find out she was there by detecting her presence. Although his soul was indeed powerful, his perception couldn’t cover such a large area.

Instead, it was Yi Yi, who had been hiding in the dark to monitor her surroundings, sent a message to tell him about it.

Upon reading the message, Lu Ye instantly figured out Pang Huanyin’s intention. She must’ve wanted to talk to him alone, but she couldn’t make up her mind. As such, she stopped in her tracks in this place.

It so happened that Lu Ye wanted to talk to her as well. Some things couldn’t be said in front of so many people in the morning.

The night breeze whisked through them. After a moment of silence, Pang Huanyin finally said, “Cultivator Lu, it’s hard for me to imagine there’s a Senior who could nurture powerful cultivators like you and your Junior Brothers. Also, based on my observation, all of you don’t seem to use the same kind of power.”

Despite Lu Ye’s earlier explanation, she was still doubtful about their background. She considered herself one of the most powerful cultivators in the Peerless Continent. Over the years, she had bumped into many opportunities, which was why she was able to become the Palace Master despite her young age.

Nevertheless, even the Sixth Junior Brother of Lu Ye was already a match for her, which was unimaginable.

“Are you worried we might harm Purple Star Palace?”

Pang Huanyin shook her head. “That’s not it. All of you are Humans as well, and it’s good enough that you have the bravery and ability to kill the Corpse Race. As for whether you’ll harm Purple Star Palace, that’s not even on my mind. If you’re able to get rid of the Corpse Race for good, I don’t mind giving the entire Palace to you.”

“You’re indeed resolute, Palace Master. In that case, why does our background even bother you?”

Pang Huanyin turned around and mischievously winked in the darkness. “As a woman, I’m naturally curious about it. The only thing I’m certain of is that you’re not from one of the other two Hidden Realms. They don’t have such a heritage.”

Lu Ye remained silent.

“Compared to your background, I’m more interested in finding out another matter.” Pang Huanyin suddenly changed the topic.

“What do you want to know?”

The woman’s gaze turned sharp as she looked inquisitively at him. “Why do you want to go to Mount Sumeru?”

She wasn’t a fool. Although Lu Ye had given a seemingly reasonable explanation during the day, she wouldn’t readily believe him. If she were simple-minded, she wouldn’t have become the Palace Master. She could tell that Lu Ye didn’t tell her the truth.

“I’m looking for my missing Junior Sisters and Brothers.”

Pang Huanyin replied with a smile, “Even if that’s the case, you don’t have to go to Mount Sumeru. I can ask someone to contact Mount Sumeru and ask them about it.”

“I won’t believe it until I see it with my eyes.”

“Your Junior Brothers and Sisters are powerful. If they were in Mount Sumeru, they would’ve made a name for themselves. A simple inquiry will help us get to the truth. Why do you insist on going there?”

“I still want to go there.”

Pang Huanyin stared fixedly at him while Lu Ye ignored her, pretending that she wasn’t there.

Finally, she looked away and let out a sigh. “You might not believe it, but the moment I set my eyes on you, I couldn’t help but think that you’re a trustable person.”

Although she had tried her best to suppress such a strange thought and even be vigilant against Lu Ye and the others, she was shocked to find that the trust she had for the man that had come out of nowhere couldn’t be eliminated.

That was the reason she wanted to look for Lu Ye at this hour. She had to find out if Lu Ye had cast a Secret Technique on her that affected her state of mind. If that was true, these Outsiders were too dangerous.

But, after giving it some thought, she reckoned that even the most powerful cultivators before the Divine Transformation were unable to use such a Secret Technique, not to mention the cultivators in current times.

As a person in power, she wouldn’t easily express her true feelings, but after a conversation with Lu Ye, she couldn’t help but tell him what was on her mind.

Lu Ye frowned. “Is this trust only for me or for my Junior Brothers as well?”

He didn’t think Pang Huanyin had said such a thing to get closer to him. It must be the truth.

“Only you,” Pang Huanyin replied grimly.

As though realising something, Lu Ye finally turned to look at her. The next moment, he secretly activated the broken Source of Soaring Dragon Boundary. In an instant, both of them were shocked as though they had detected something.

“You…” Pang Huanyin was both shocked and doubtful, not knowing what had happened. She quickly leapt away and glanced vigilantly at him. “What did you do?”

Just now, the mysterious trust she had for the man had intensified for no reason. She even felt that she could expose all of her secrets to the man without worrying about getting harmed. That was a dangerous feeling.

Lu Ye said meditatively, “You’re already so powerful despite your young age. I don’t think it’s only because of your talent. You must’ve come across many opportunities as well.”

Pang Huanyin was astounded. “How do you know?”

Besides the opportunities, an anomaly happened when she was born. In front of Purple Star Palace, there was a tree that became dead 300 years ago, but it suddenly returned to life at that time.

When she was a teenager, she chanced upon a cave mansion left behind by their ancestors where she found the Secret Techniques that were supposedly lost.

For these reasons, she was able to become the Palace Master even though she was a woman. None of them objected to it, and they even felt that she deserved it.

“It’s no wonder…” Lu Ye finally figured out what was going on.

Strictly speaking, the woman before his eyes was the Bearer of the World’s Luck. She was just like Ye Six in Soaring Dragon Boundary. However, the calamity facing the Soaring Dragon Boundary was too intense as it was invaded by another world. Therefore, even though Ye Six had the World’s Luck and acquired the Dragon Throne, he still couldn’t turn things around. During the epic battle, he was killed, and the Dragon Throne was damaged.

The Peerless Continent hadn’t reached the point of no return, but it wasn’t far away from it. When a world was about to be destroyed, the Bearer of the World’s Luck would be born. That was how the world saved itself in a crisis.

A Bearer of the World’s Luck must have a bit of the World’s Source in him. Lu Ye possessed the broken Source of Soaring Dragon Boundary, which was why Pang Huanyin trusted him for no reason. It could be considered a mysterious instruction or the resonance between the Sources of the two worlds.

As the thought turned over in Lu Ye’s mind, he suddenly recalled another matter. Pang Huanyin had developed such a feeling while Lu Ye didn’t. It wasn’t that the broken Source of Soaring Dragon Boundary was inferior to that of the Peerless Continent. It was just that the Continent had its own World’s Will.

The World’s Will of Soaring Dragon Boundary was gone following its destruction. Although Lu Ye had acquired the broken Source, it wouldn’t give him any instructions. On the other hand, Pang Huanyin and the Peerless Continent were different.

Judging from the current circumstances, even if the Peerless Continent had developed its own World’s Will, it was still at an infantile stage. Or, the World’s Will became incomplete after the Peerless Continent broke into pieces. Therefore, it could give Pang Huanyin some vague instructions, making her trust the person before her eyes.

Suddenly, Lu Ye realised why the Heavens in Jiu Zhou had sent them to this place. The broken Peerless Continent was about to be destroyed. Since it couldn’t save itself, it instinctively sought help from somewhere else. The Heavens in Jiu Zhou caught the message and located the Continent. After that, the Heavens gathered the nine most powerful cultivators in the Fight for Supremacy and paid a price to send them to this place.
