Chapter 1112: Layers Of Space-3 [GT Ranking Bonus Chapter]

The moment he had that thought, his eyes flashed as though he had tapped into some great secret. It made perfect sense, it did... at least to him.

Maybe... just maybe, the Void had classifications.

For example, the Void between the first and second layers of space couldn’t harm people since everyone existed in the first layer of space. But what if the Void between the second and third layers of space was different? Then the one between the third and fourth layers of space was also different, meaning the deeper the layer, the stronger and more destructive the Void.

What Asher didn’t know was that his thoughts were right. Cindralis had literally used this ability during the time when the Nobles had a meeting at the Wargrave Territory to discuss how to retaliate against the Vandross Empire.

With many Crownstar Life Rankers gathered in one place, none of them had sensed her, simply because she existed outside their reality, which was the first layer, while she was in the second layer, which was beyond their perception. It was the reason only Azaron had been able to sense her, simply because he too could tap into the second layer of space.

It was through these layers of space that one could now create Separate Dimensions like Azaron and Cindralis, yet still have them linked to the planet’s sun and moon, while still practically existing outside of it.

But the more in tune one was with the layers of space, the more they could resist the destructiveness of the Void between each layer.

Asher’s mind played around with the idea, it seemed perfect to him, it seemed correct. But in the end, he had no way to know, it could be because he was searching for answers, so his mind came up with this ridiculous answer.

Asher shook his head, ’No need to doubt myself, even if I’m wrong, I just have to recalibrate and test again until I succeed,’ he told himself.

Yes, his Father was a master when it came to spatial manipulation, but he wouldn’t go to him to ask. He would carve his own path, after all, everything certainly came from an idea, from trial and error.

Besides, if people of the past could achieve this without anyone guiding them, why couldn’t he replicate such a feat with his own talents?

’Since we’ve established that the Void only gets progressively dangerous as one crosses layers of space, how do we leave the first layer of space?’ he thought to himself as his eyes fixed on the spatial rift in front of him.

Another idea struck him. Since teleportation was through the shrinking of space to appear at another location, what if... what if mid-teleportation he halted the process of teleportation, well, not completely, as doing that would collapse the spatial tunnel created for teleportation, but pause the teleportation process while keeping it active, hence freezing himself within the tunnel of space, which was basically the Void, then within the Void or tunnel, he would search for a way to tear into the next layer of space.

Or, he could even do it by opening and connecting through portals, all he had to do was remain in the tunnel and take it from there. Which was easier said than done.

His eyes flickered, it was a base idea, a good one, a dangerous one, a killing one, as he didn’t know the repercussions that would follow if he did that.

He might not lose his lower body this time, but his entire body. But was there any other way? Not any he could think of right now.

He mentally exhaled as he decided to carry out his plans. If he died, oh well, it was a nice life, and he would cherish these memories and the two years and four months he had spent in this world.

’Well... I would still see the next generation through my soul that is at the Altar of Souls,’ he mused, using jokes to harden his resolve to dive into such a risk.

His head turned to the side as he set that area as the destination of his teleportation. Astra energy flowed perfectly as his body vanished and appeared beside a boulder. As he appeared, he shook his head, he hadn’t succeeded as the teleportation process completed instantly, he had to slow it down... if that was even possible, it probably was, he just never had a reason to ever try it prior to this moment.

He wasn’t bothered that he had failed on the first try, he never expected to pull off such a skill on the first try. His eyes shifted to his previous position as he prepared to teleport there, but as he willed to slow the teleportation, he found out he could, but all that did was slow down the speed at which he vanished from his current location, which wasn’t what he needed, as what he needed was slowing down his speed within the tunnel itself.

He allowed himself to teleport again, his figure appearing at his former location instantly. He teleported again as he changed his strategy to trying to sense himself within the tunnel, if he couldn’t sense himself completely, how could he slow himself down or halt his own teleportation?

So, at this moment, he was working on two fronts. Sensing his body through the teleportation and halting the teleportation midway. He tried for over five hours just to sense himself faintly, but he didn’t smile or stop to soak in the progress, he kept going on as he didn’t want to break concentration for whatever reason it might be.

He progressed on the front as a total of twelve hours finally passed. His limit for a day of holding his breath was approaching. He had to complete it before then or he would feel as though he had lost all his progress.

As he appeared beside the boulder again, his arm was missing, but he didn’t care, he had lost his arm countless times before. Virelass regenerated it instantly as he vanished once more, his body reappearing, but without his left leg this time. He vanished and appeared again, his ear missing, but Virelass made sure Asher had nothing to worry about as she simply kept Crimson Pact activated so that any injury that appeared was instantly healed.

She even went as far as using the ??? grade blood, after all, Asher’s life was on the line here. What was the use of keeping the unknown-grade blood for any injury he might acquire on various battlefields if he didn’t survive today to be on those battlefields?

Asher felt as though he was getting closer, he was getting there, he could see it, he could feel it, he could sense it.

He vanished once more, but he didn’t appear beside the boulder this time, Asher was nowhere to be seen, he seemed to have left the Valley of Distortion totally.

At this moment, Asher appeared within the tunnel between two points in space. He was surrounded by a spatial tunnel, his figure suspended within a vast corridor formed from distorted space. The tunnel stretched endlessly in both directions, its walls composed of swirling layers of light that continuously twisted and shifted.

Countless streaks of light shot past him at incredible speeds, vanishing into the distance almost as soon as they appeared. It felt as though the entirety of space had been compressed into a narrow passage, allowing him to traverse an otherwise immeasurable distance in an instant.
