Cleaver Of Sin

Chapter 1046: Training With Lyra

Asher walked into his room and collapsed face-first onto the bed. He was spent, literally too tired, even his Astra Energy was used up. Although he never used the Astra Energy himself, as he only used Star Energy against Azaron, he had transferred his Astra Energy to Olivia, Mary, and Thalric so they could keep going.

With a sigh, he turned onto his back as he stared at the ceiling.

”It seems the Primarch beat everyone up,” Lyra stated as she walked towards Asher. She bent down and picked up the loafer slippers he had kicked to the side when he collapsed onto the bed.

Asher sighed as he replied, ”You have no idea.”

Although he said that, a smile couldn’t help but appear on his face, which was covered in soot. His mind endlessly replayed how Azaron had dominated everything and everyone without even using a shred of Astra Energy or a weapon. Sometimes, the man took on attacks head-on just for the fun of it and came out with a smile or a grin.

Asher couldn’t help but long for that sort of invincibility. Even Malrik had been helpless against their Father.

’Soon...’ Asher thought to himself. He guessed he would be at the Crownstar Life Rank in about seven years or so.

’Besides, with this spar, I was able to deepen my Swordsmanship and even gain a few insights into hand-to-hand combat and combat in general,’ Asher thought with a smile plastered across his face.

’Since Finch, William, Vaelric, and Ryaen are coming tomorrow and would probably arrive at noon or thereabouts, I have enough time to train before they arrive,’ Asher thought to himself as he rose from his bed.

He knew that once those four musketeers made it to the Wargrave Estate, he would probably have no time to train unless it was at night when everyone slept. With that, he marched towards the bathroom as he took off his clothes, took a new pair of briefs from the wardrobe, and went to take a bath.

Lyra, sensing Asher enter the bathroom, walked back into the room. Asher was covered in soot and had stained the bedsheets, so she needed to change them. As Asher’s personal maid, she always had supplies ready at all times, so she had a new set of bedsheets and pillowcases within her space rings. In less than a minute, she was done and stepped out of the room, granting Asher his privacy.

Asher stepped out of the bathroom and threw on some light clothes for training. Although he was exhausted from the fight against Azaron, he still pushed himself to train.

”Lyra,” Asher called out softly.

The door opened as Lyra entered and responded, ”Yes, Young Master.”

Asher’s purple eyes turned towards her as he stated, ”You will be training with me today.”

Since she was already a Radiant Soulstar Life Ranker, Asher decided to put his overpowered maid to good use instead of just training with his own Photon Clone. And with her new combat experience and sharp senses, she wouldn’t lose her ground during training while holding back.

”As you wish,” she replied.

Asher nodded and headed towards another door that led to the training chamber. As he turned away, a huge smile appeared on Lyra’s lips. To her, this was immense progress. She, who had only watched her Young Master train, was finally being of help.

’I need to break through to the Crownstar Life Rank,’ she thought to herself as she walked forward. ’With the Young Master’s talent and extreme training, I might only be useful for a couple of years before he becomes able to keep enemies at the Soulstar Life Rank at bay,’ she thought to herself.

Although she was excited, she still felt pressure from Asher’s talent. After all, he had told her that he had defeated a Dust Voidstar Life Ranker, although he had help. Asher had informed her as they caught up and talked about the past few months. And she had personally seen how strong he was during their spar a few days ago.

And with that, the both of them spent the night unleashing various attacks and death sequences, with Lyra correcting the holes and gaps she could find. And for the first time, Lyra, who wore a smile as she blurred around, she got to see Asher’s talent for herself as he corrected mistakes with a single word from her, and sometimes even corrected them before she could point them out.

She couldn’t help but be happy that the End-class Monster had not only transferred his Devour ability and combat experience to her, but had also transferred his own personal talents. After all, the being could also guess that if he didn’t transfer his own personal talent too, Lyra might be stuck at the Soulstar Life Rank forever.

The both of them fought and trained till sunrise before they finally stopped.

”Thank you, Lyra,” Asher spoke.

Lyra nodded with a smile as she spoke, ”It’s my job, Young Master.”

With that, she bowed and left the room. Asher, who was covered in sweat as his clothes clung to his skin, could only sigh. Normally, from the ten million platinum coins Azaron had given him, he would have given Lyra at least one or two million, but a few days ago, Lyra had also informed him that the End-class Monster had simply given her all his treasures. After all, the dead didn’t take wealth to the afterlife.

Although the currency of the past, nineteen thousand years ago, and the currency of today were different, it didn’t change the fact that Lyra was now a rich woman. After all, one couldn’t really fathom the amount of treasures and artefacts someone who had lived for over nineteen thousand years truly possessed.

She could decide to quit her job today, leave the Wargrave family, and make an independent name for herself with the power and money she possessed. And not only that, she remained the Lyra she had been throughout the years, neither growing any sudden attitude nor pride or anything of the sort.

Asher sighed as he took off his clothes for another round of bathing. Stepping out, he simply jumped into his bed. The moment his eyes closed, dreams claimed him as he was simply too exhausted. As for Lyra, it was already morning, and she couldn’t return to the maid building, so she stood by Asher’s door and waited to be called upon.

The moment it was twelve o’clock, Asher’s eyes opened, his body feeling refreshed and back to its peak condition after just five hours of sleep. He stretched as he got off the bed with a yawn.

His phone appeared in his hand. He scrolled through the notifications. They were mostly notifications of fans still sending him messages, and of course, Asher replied to some of them since he had nothing to do. Till now, Arianna hadn’t replied to the text he had sent earlier, to which Asher understood that she was still on her way back to the Velkarin Empire.

A knock resounded through the room.

”Come in,” Asher spoke as he already knew it was Lyra who was outside with a food trolley.

After his battle with Azaron and his own training with Lyra, everything he had eaten at the family meal yesterday had vanished, so he needed to replenish.
