Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Observing the bull demon beast that had just blocked his spear while continuing his attack, Chu Yang tried coming up with a way to quickly kill it before the group of Core Formation Realm demon beasts showed up.

Even if the bull demon beast did not currently look like it would escape as it effortlessly dealt with his spear, Chu Yang did not plan to give it a chance to escape. After all, it would not be strange for it to be looking for an escape path after seeing how easily the three headed horse demon beast that was at a similar realm to itself had been killed…

Bang-bang-bang!

As he continued attack the bull demon beast, Chu Yang discovered that he was slowly gaining the upper hand in the battle. Forcing the bull demon beast into a corner… But this was far too slow, as he could already sense the group of Core Formation Realm demon beasts that had once surrounded him charging towards his current location!

In less than a minute, the group would arrive, and he would be forced to escape. Even worse, the demon beast above the Sixth Stage of the Core Formation Realm was also rushing over from the core part of the ancient city ruins!

Seeing the speed of this demon beast, Chu Yang could not help silently cursing to himself as he began attacking the bull demon beast far more violently compared to before!

Not to mention having less than a minute, with the speed of that demon beast, Chu Yang realized that he might not even have 20 seconds left before it arrived!

For him to kill the bull demon beast in such a short time, Chu Yang had a feeling that it would be close to impossible with his current strength.

”Hm?”

Having slowly forced the bull demon beast into a corner while looking for any opportunity to land a fatal blow on it and kill it, Chu Yang finally saw his opportunity, as the bull demon beast accidently moved backwards and found itself stuck inside a small hole in the ground that had formed during their battle.

Although the hole in question was not enough to stop the bull demon beast from moving backwards and it could easily free itself. The fact still stood that one of its feet were stuck in the ground for a split second-

Swish~

Giving Chu Yang more than enough time to use his spear like an axe, as the tip of the spear was strengthened before it came sweeping down towards the leg of the bull demon beast that was just about to be pulled out from the small hole in the ground…

Ptsh!

ROOOOAR!

As the spear cut into the leg of the bull demon beast, it let out a painfilled howl as it watched one of its legs getting cut off. Instantly making the bull demon beast that relied on four legs to walk lose its stability.

The fact that it lost its leg was not only painful, but also something that it would not be able to recover from. After all, different from demon beasts and cultivators who reached the Nascent Soul Realm and had the ability to rebuild their physical body in case they ended up loosing an arm or leg, a demon beast or cultivator at the Core Formation Realm could not do something like that.

The only way someone like that could regrow a lost limb was through the help of some powerful technique, a rare spiritual herb, the help of a high-level alchemist, or the help of a powerful cultivator! There might be other ways, but those were far too rare compared to those four methods…

ROOOOOOAR!

The bull demon beast let out an even more sorrowful roar as it understood this. Realizing that it might never be able to walk on four legs in the future.

Swish~!

Ptsh-!

Not one to sit behind and wait for the bull demon beast to recover from the sudden sorrow that followed losing one of its legs, Chu Yang’s spear swept over from the distance as it directly pierced through the head of the bull demon beast. Killing it before it had any time to fight back.

Even if the entire thing took quite some time to explain, the entire battle had taken less than 10 seconds to play out, as Chu Yang had successfully managed to kill both the three headed horse demon beast and the bull demon beast before the powerful demon beast above the Sixth Stage of the Core Formation Realm had time to show up and save the two demon beasts!

Whoosh!

Not standing around after having killed the bull demon beast, Chu Yang quickly extracted the transparent stone located at the centre of the bull demon beast’s stomach before escaping into the distance. Intending to hide for a few hours and wait for the group of Core Formation Realm demon beasts to leave before looking for his next target…

ROOOOOOOAR!

Arriving at the scene and seeing the dead bodies of the three headed horse demon beast and the bull demon beast, the leader of the group of demon beasts roared loudly filled with killing intent as it quickly scanned its surroundings for the human that had been behind this.

However, this was to no avail, as Chu Yang had already escaped into the distance at this point in time. Giving the demon beast leader nowhere to vent its anger.

Roar!?

Roooooar!

Roooar…

As the other demon beasts at the Core Formation Realm showed up, they all let out sorrowful and fearful roars. Each of them understood that they might very well be next, so with this in mind, they also unconsciously turned towards their leader. Waiting for instructions.

…

”Such a massive demon beast…” Watching this from a safe distance, Chu Yang observed the massive demon beast above the Sixth Stage of the Core Formation Realm with a surprised expression on his face.

This surprise was not due to the face that the demon beast leader was more powerful than he had expected but was instead due to the appearance of the demon beast.

Instead of it being a massive fear inspiring demon like he had first expected that the leader of the group of Core Formation Realm demon beast would look like, the demon beast leader was instead a small rabbit no larger than his head with a pair of cute horns on top of its head…

”How in the world did such a cute little rabbit even manage to make such a loud roar. Not to mention… How in the world did such a small rabbit get so powerful? Does it perhaps belong to some kind of ancient demon beast bloodline I have never heard about before…?” Muttering this to himself as he tilted his head in confusion after seeing the appearance of the demon beast leader, Chu Yang could not help feeling that it was weird to see such a small rabbit being in charge of a group of massive demon beasts, each being the size of a small hill…

ROOOAR!

Hearing the roar of the small rabbit demon beast with a small pair of demon like horns on top of its head, Chu Yang could not help feeling amazed, as he witnessed the group of massive demon beast obediently listening to the rabbit demon beast before they slowly began leaving the area and heading back towards the centre of the ancient city ruins.

From the looks of it, the demon beasts were not going to go out in pairs of two for safety anymore, but had instead decided to all gather together at the core part of the ancient city ruins for safety…

Of course, this was the worst possible outcome for Chu Yang, as he would not be able to take on the demon beast if they were gathered together in one place.

If they had split up in groups of three after this, he might have had a chance to still kill some of them and harvest the transparent stone inside their bodies… But from the looks of it, that would no longer be possible!

Now, all he could do was hunt the Core Formation Realm demon beast roaming the outer part of the ancient city ruins alone. However, these demon beasts were all weaker than those in the core part of the ancient city ruins and the transparent stone inside their body also had way less energy inside of it.

Not to mention, he had already hunted down most of the Core Formation Realm demon beasts in the outer parts of the ancient city ruins… If he wanted to continue gathering more of the transparent stones to increase his strength, he would have to fight with the Core Formation Realm demon beasts in the core part of the ancient city ruins. Something that was not possible now that they had decided to gather together for safety in fear of him taking them out one by one…

”Haa… I will have to think of something after dealing with the Core Formation Realm demon beasts still left in the outer parts of the ruins…”

Swish~

Muttering this to himself, Chu Yang shook his head before moving back into the outer part of the ancient city ruins just after the group of Core Formation Realm demon beasts had left.
