Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

”To think they actually started grouping up together after they found out about me killing the boar demon beast…”

Watching the scene of the demon beasts leaving in groups of two, Chu Yang had a feeling that it would be hard for him to take out two of the demon beasts on his own before the other demon beasts showed up for support from now on-

”Not to mention… That new demon beast is clearly above the Sixth Stage of the Core Formation Realm!” Muttering this to himself as he recalled the new powerful demon beasts that had seemingly taken command of the group of Core Formation Realm demon beasts, Chu Yang could not help wondering where it had come from.

Perhaps, the group of Core Formation demon beasts he had encountered so far were not the most powerful demon beasts present in the core part of the ancient city ruins… If that was really the case, the ancient city ruins would be a far more dangerous place than he had first expected.

However, it was still not enough to scare him away. After all, the transparent stones he could gather from the dead Core Formation Realm demon beasts were simply way too precious for him to give up just because there might be more powerful Core Formation Realm demon beasts at the core part of the ancient city ruins!

As long as the demon beasts present in the core part of the ancient city ruins had not yet reached the Nascent Soul Realm, Chu Yang felt confident that he could escape with his newfound strength. Even if he had no chance to defeat the other party…

”Haa… For now, I should try and focus on killing the weaker Core Formation Realm demon beasts. Even if they are grouped up, I should still be able to kill one of them and escaping before the rest of them shows up…”

Swish~

Having decided on how to proceed after having found out the demon beasts had now started grouping up together to stay safe, Chu Yang silently followed two of the weaker demon beasts that were heading towards an area not far away from the outer walls of the ancient city ruins.

The two demon beasts in question were both at the Second Stage of the Core Formation Realm, one of them being a large bull demon beast, while the other was some kind of weird looking horse demon beast with three heads.

Even watching the two from a distance, Chu Yang decided that he would first kill the weird looking three headed horse demon beast… The reason for this being that it was far smaller than the bull demon beast and would be easier for him to kill.

After having killed the weird looking three headed horse, Chu Yang planned to try and kill the bull demon beast… Of course, if the other Core Formation Realm demon beasts showed up, he would still escape before they had a chance to surround him again.

Not that he was afraid that he would not be able to escape, but because he was afraid that the new powerful demon beast above the Sixth Stage of the Core Formation Realm might have a chance to injure him before he could escape….

If he ended up getting too badly injured, he might be forced to leave the ancient city ruins for the time being and be forced to spend a few days recovering… In case of a really bad injury, he might even be forced to return to the Flying Sword Sect to spend a few months recovering!

Chu Yang really did not want to return to the sect like that. Not to mention how Qing Yi would make fun of him, he didn’t want his master to see him returning all injured. Especially considering that his master might not allow him to leave the sect any time in the future after learning about how he had not only been injured, but also lost the communication talisman he had given to him…

I should stop thinking about this…

Shaking his head as he felt his train of thought becoming negative. Thinking like he had already been injured and had been forced to return to the Flying Sword Sect earlier than he wanted, Chu Yang focused his attention back on to the two demon beasts as they slowly entered the large nest on top of what had once been a large tower overseeing the surrounding city.

Now, the tower had instead turned into a large bird nest, in which the two demon beasts entered.

As for which of the two demon beasts constructed this large bird nest on top of the large tower that looked like it was about to collapse at any moment under the two massive demon beasts’ massive weight…

It was of course the three headed horse demon beast… How did he know this…?

Neigh!

Well, for one, the three headed horse demon beast began meticulously working on expanding the nest the moment it entered it, while the bull demon beast looked at the tower waying slightly under its weight with an uneasy expression on its face…

Why did a three headed horse demon beast construct a massive bird nest on top of a tower that looked like it collapse at any moment? Chu Yang had no idea, but what he could say for certain, was that the three headed horse demon beast, was indeed a rather weird demon beast. Even the bull demon beast that had followed it into its nest seemed to agree with this, as it began looking around itself more and more anxiously.

Creak~

This was mostly because the foundation of the tower was slowly starting to give in under the weight of the two massive demon beasts!

Roar!

Neigh…? Neigh!

While the bull demon beast seemed to notice this and even informed the weird three headed horse demon beast, the three headed horse demon beast did not seem to understand the worries of the bull demon beast, as it carried on working on its home without the slightest care in the world-

Creak~

All while the foundation holding up the tower was slowly starting to give in under the massive weight of the two demon beasts.

”Hm… This might be a good opportunity…” Watching this scene play out as the several crack began forming along the bottom part of the tower that the two demon beasts were residing, Chu Yang narrowed his eyes as he felt like he might have an opportunity to kill both of the demon beasts in time if he took advantage of the current situation.

CRACK-!

Chu Yang did not have to wait long for this opportunity, as only a minute later, the foundation that had held up the tower with the three headed horse demon beast nest on top of it, broke apart under the weight of the two demon beasts currently on top of it.

ROAR?!

NEIGHT!?

As the two demon beasts were caught off guard by the towers sudden collapse and started falling towards the ground together with the tower, Chu Yang took advantage of the two demon beasts currently in a state of confusion, as he launched forward with his spear in hand towards his first target, the three headed horse demon beast!

Swoosh~!

Piercing through the air with his spear in hand, Chu Yang soon appeared directly below the three headed horse demon beast before stabbing towards it without wasting any time. The small qi barrier that it had time to form, was far from enough to block Chu Yang’s spear!

Even if the three headed horse demon beast noticed him in time, there was no way for it to change its path in time-

Ptsh-!

As Chu Yang managed to easily pierce through all three of its horse heads before it had any time to put up a any proper resistance...

Swish~

Quickly digging out the transparent stone located around its stomach before focusing his attention towards the bull demon beast a short distance away from his current location.

Roar?

By the time that the bull demon beast managed to regain its footing and look toward the three headed horse demon beast, Chu Yang had already killed it and was rushing towards it!

ROOOOOAR!

However, compared to the three headed horse demon beast that he had managed to catch off guard and easily kill just a moment ago, the bull demon beast had more than enough time to recover from the sudden fall, as it met Chu Yang’s spear thrust head on!

BOOM!

Even if it was at a disadvantage, Chu Yang clearly felt that it would not be so easy to take care of the Bull demon beast… That was not to mention, their clash would be more than enough to alert the other demon beast in the ancient city ruins about what was happening and before long they would show up to help the bull demon beast...

If he wanted to kill the bull demon beast, he had to do so before they showed up!
