Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Whoosh~

Along with the wave of his hand, Xuan Hao froze the ground beneath the group of Flying Sword Sect disciples eagerly looking towards the group of disciples from the Spring Flower Sect.

”Wha-!”

”Why did the ground suddenly freeze?!”

”Ah!”

Watching the disciples slip on the ice that was now beneath them before tumbling down the small hill that they had placed themselves on top of to watch the disciples from the Spring Flower Sect, Xuan Hao could not help laughing a bit after realizing that most of these disciples ended up landing directly in front of the group of disciples from the Spring Flower Sect.

”Lu Wen? What are you doing here!?”

Seeing that the person in front of the group of disciples from the Spring Flower Sect was actually a disciple from the Flying Sword Sect that had managed to recognize one of the disciples who had fallen down the hill, Xuan Hao felt things were about to get interesting. Especially considering the fact that the look on the female disciple’s face very clearly told that she had understood what was happening and the fact that it was not the first time she had seen this before…

”Yi Xuan… Actually-”

”Everyone, let’s get going, we still have a lot to do before it gets dark!”

Interrupting the young boy on the ground in front of her, the female disciple from the Flying Sword Sect called Yi Xuan, guiding the Spring Flower Sect disciples inside the Flying Sword Sect, directly walked past him. Not forgetting to give him a judgemental look while walking past him together with the disciples from the Spring Flower Sect.

”…”

Watching this scene play out, Xuan Hao could not help smiling wryly, as he quickly looked away.

For some reason, he had a feeling that the little girl called Yi Xuan, guiding the disciples from the Spring Flower Sect, would not look so kindly at the one called Lu Wen in the future…

”Hah… This has nothing to do with me!” Muttering this to himself, Xuan Hao focused on other parts of the sect, as he slowly forgot about what had happened at the entrance of the sect. After all, to him, this was not anything important. At most a bit of fun teasing the younger disciples.

…

As time passed with Xuan Hao looking around the Flying Sword Sect and seeing all the changes that had taken place since the time that the Flying Sword Sect officially began preparations for merging together with the Spring Flower Sect, his divine sense finally ended up landing on a rather familiar building located close to the centre of the sect.

”The stables!” Narrowing his eyes as he muttered the name of the building, Xuan Hao could not help recalling his past encounters with the beast tamers of the sect and their rather uniquely arrogant demon beasts.

”I wonder if things have changed since last...” The beast tamers were by far the most wasteful among all the professions that were nurtured inside the Flying Sword Sect when he had last seen it. For this reason, Xuan Hao felt quite curious about what had happened to them during the past year.

After all, he had already complained about them to Elder Song back then. Not to mention, Elder Song had looked more than happy to take care of the beast tamers after finding out about just how many spirit stones they were wasting on a daily basis…

Whoosh~

As his divine sense swept over the stables and he began investigating the place, Xuan Hao was happy to realize that the demon beasts inside were not acting arrogant like he had seen them do in the past and the beast tamers did not feed them hundreds of spirit stones each.

Not only that, but Xuan Hao also noticed that the number of demon beasts inside the stables had increased by quite a lot since last and there were even a few Peak Core Formation Realm demon beasts present inside the stables!

”Hm?”

However, just as Xuan Hao was about to turn his attention away from the stables, he noticed a group of three disciples gather up a large amount of spirit stones before making their way out of the stables.

What in the world are they up to? Where are they going with so many spirit stones?

Feeling curious, Xuan Hao decided to follow them with his divine sense to find out where they were going with so many spirit stones.

Not to mention, the number of spirit stones they were carrying was well above a thousand! This number of spirit stones was no small amount and was definitely not something that the Flying Sword Sect could afford to just go missing.

Now they are going up one of the border mountains surrounding the sect…

Feeling that something bad was about to happen as he watched the group of three beast tamers make their way up the border mountain on the outskirts of the sect, Xuan Hao continued watching the group as they finally arrived at the top of the mountain together with the spirit stones.

”Great lord lion! Please receive this humble gift from us!”

””Praise the great lord lion!””

Feeling himself shiver all over as he listened in on what the beast tamers were saying after reaching the top of the mountain, Xuan Hao had already realized what was happening, as he watched a large, winged lion lower its head in front of the group of three before directly swallowing all of the spirit stones with a happy expression on its face.

””Praise the great lord lion!””

Along with on last chant from the group of three beast tamers after the winged lion had already finished eating half of the spirit stones, the group quickly made their way down the mountain before making their way back to the stables again.

”…”

Not knowing what to say to what he had just witnessed; Xuan Hao had a feeling that the beast tamers usage of spirit stones was not decreasing like Elder Song, and he had wanted it to… And the reason for this was none other than the demon beast he had tamed and brought back with him!

Thinking about this, Xuan Hao narrowed his eyes before disappearing from his pavilion before reappearing in front of the winged lion who was still in the process of devouring the spirit stones a few seconds later.

Roar?

Not understanding why its master had suddenly appeared in front of it, the winged lion tilted its head in confusion. Not understanding why, it suddenly felt like something bad was about to happen.

”You have been enjoying yourself for quite some time now…”

Roar!

Seeing the winged lion roar happily at him after hearing what he said, Xuan Hao frowned as he waved his hand and used the blood contract between him and the winged lion.

ROAR!?

Not understanding what was happening as Xuan Hao used the blood contract, the winged lion roared confusedly before it suddenly transformed into its small cub form.

Roar~?

Still not understanding what had just happened, the winged lion looked up at Xuan Hao with a confused expression on its now both small and adorable face.

”You are consuming way too much in your normal form, this way, you will be way cheaper to have around. Not only that, but I have also restricted your transformation for now, so you can’t return to your normal form unless you encounter a dangerous situation!”

Whoosh~

Leaving directly after saying this, Xuan Hao did not bother staying around to witness the winged lion’s response. No matter how unwilling the winged lion was, what he had done would end up saving the Flying Sword Sect thousands of spirit stones every day…

ROOOOAR~~~!

Following Xuan Hao’s disappearance, a loud but cute roar echoed out from the mountain top as the winged lion realized that it had been forced to remain in its cub form by its master.

”…”

Seeing that its master had truly left it to stay in its cub form, the winged lion unwillingly made its way over to the pile of spirit stones still left uneaten. At least it still had something to make up for the fact that it was now stuck in its cub form…

Chomp~

Biting down on one of the spirit stones, the winged lion quickly realized that its mouth was too small for it to even swallow a single spirit stone hole. In the end, if it wanted to eat the spirit stone, it would have to slowly eat through it…

Roar~!

Realizing this, an unwilling roar escaped from the cub sized winged lion as it angrily bit down towards a slightly smaller spirit stone. Only to have it end up smashing into its forehead.

R-roar~

Even if the spirit stone did not hurt the winged lion, it still felt like its pride had been injured by what had just taken place.

However, there was nothing it could do to recover its lost pride…

Roar…

Knowing this, the cub sized winged lion reluctantly bit down on another spirit stone before beginning to slowly eat it.

From now on, it could only slowly eat the spirit stones one by one…
