Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

” Hmph, I heard that you managed to breakthrough to the Foundation Establishment Realm as well… Honestly thought it was a joke something at first, after all, who here does not know how low your cultivation is!

Really makes one wonder what kind of godly herb that you swallowed to allow your cultivation to reach the Foundation Establishment Realm.” Bai Fei said disdainfully as he looked down at Qing Yi, seemingly not caring much about her even though both of them had reached the same cultivation realm.

”Bai Fei! We will see who is stronger than who in the finals!” Not saying anything more, Qing Yi left towards the competition venue. Not waiting for Bai Fei to answer.

Xuan Hao stood at the side and observed the short interaction with a smile on his face, he had just entered the system and checked out what the new feature was about.

Apparently, the young masters were categorized into different tiers. The systems catagorazation and rewards was even listed as well.

[Young Master tiers]:

[Low-tier young master]: Strength at Foundation Establishment realm, backing of at least Nascent Soul Realm.

[Possible Reward for disciple]: Sudden Breakthrough during fight with the young master, finding a random artifact/herb of Spirit Grade or below on the young master, mysterious opportunity.

[Mid-tier young master]: ??? (meet a mid-tier young master)

[Possible Reward for disciple]: ???

Looking at the tier of young master, Xuan Hao immediately noticed that a low-tier young master was supposed to have the backing of a Nascent Soul Realm cultivator and have reached the Foundation Establishment Realm at the very least.

Bai Fei seemed to fit in well with the description of the system, having a cultivation at the Foundation Establishment Realm and having a master at the Nascent Soul Realm.

Nodding his head to himself, Xuan Hao instead focused on the rewards that Qing Yi could obtain from her encounter with Bai Fei. The sudden breakthrough and ability to find precious herbs or artifacts felt a little unfair in Xuan Hao’s eyes, personally, he wished that he could go and beat up Bai Fei and get the sudden breakthrough…

Looking a little closer, Xuan Hao focused on the last possible reward, mysterious opportunity.

The reward was, as the name said, mysterious and Xuan Hao had no clue what it entailed. Maybe it was a secret inheritance of some ancient cultivator, a secret path to a secret realm set up by a powerful Domain Lord?

Xuan Hao could not help but wonder as he exited his sea of consciousness and looked straight at Bai Fei with a subtle light shining in his eyes.

If Qing Yi could improve her cultivation, he would naturally be able to get stronger as well… People like Bai Fei truly were treasures sent down by the heavens themselves!

…

A little farther away, Bai Fei himself had already made his way towards the venue where the competition was being held. Confidently walking, Bai Fei suddenly felt a chill go down his spine as he anxiously looked around himself.

”Master Bai, is there anything wrong? Perhaps it’s that rude girl from earlier troubling you?” Seeing his sudden movement, a servant walking close by asked in an angry tone as he thought about how rude Qing Yi had been to his master.

”Ah, it’s nothing, I was just hit by the wind and found it to be colder than expected.” Not considering that it was a hot cloudless day with no such thing as a cold breeze even present and the fact that he was a Foundation Establishment cultivator, Bai Fei shrugged it off and made his way onto the first stage.

The first one to face off against Bai Fei surrendered immediately and he easily moved on to the next stage.

Qing Yi was the same as him, as nobody really felt like fighting someone one major cultivation realm above themselves. Losing was all but guaranteed. Only those heaven-defying geniuses would dare to challenge someone a major cultivation realm above themselves and ordinary people did not dare think of doing something like that.

”Bai Fei! You lost to me last year and even if you managed to breakthrough and reach the Foundation Establishment Realm, I will be sure to beat you just like last year!” As time progressed, the semi-finals began and Qing Chenyi, the former genius of the Qing family stood in front of Bai Fei as he loudly proclaimed.

The fact that Qing Yi of all people had broken through and reached the Foundation Establishment Realm before him had hurt him quite a bit, but in the end, they were still family, so he was still fine with it.

Bai Fei on the other hand was his enemy and rival, back then he had barely managed to beat him and win the last annual competition and now that he had managed to take a Nascent Soul Realm cultivator as master, he had managed to improve faster than him!

It had to be known that over the last half year, Qing Chenyi had not dared to relax and had even managed to reach the eighth stage of the Qi Condensation Realm.

Sadly, this was far from enough to contend with someone at the Foundation Establishment Realm.

”Qing Chenyi? Ha, you are still in the Qi Condensation Realm, even that little girl Qing Yi has already surpassed you! Come, I will be sure to end it quickly!” Bai Fei smiled smugly as he signalled for Qing Chenyi to attack him.

”BAI FEI!” Qing Chenyi was angered by the way he was disregarded by his former rival and immediately attacked with all his might.

”Pft, how pathetic, let me show you the difference in our strength!” Seeing Qing Chenyi charging at him, Bai Fei did not bother with it and only launched a casual palm strike towards him.

”Bai Fei! You are underestimating me!” Seeing how little Bai Fei seemingly cared about his attack, Qing Chenyi felt his anger reach a new high as he finally clashed with the casual palm attack of Bai Fei.

Bang!

Qing Chenyi did not even have a chance to resist as he was sent flying out of the stage, under the astonished gazes of the crowd.

Bai Fei was so strong! Even Qing Chenyi could be dealt with so easily!

Thinking about all of this, the crowd started to look forward to the fight between Qing Yi and Bai Fei.

Qing Chenyi on the other hand was forgotten as he just laid on the ground, it was only a little later that some of the members of the Qing family finally remembered him and quickly went over to help him.
