Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

As Qing Yi was overlooking the boy rolling around screaming in agony on the ground, the surrounding contestants, elders and disciples who came to watch looked at her with a scared expression plastered on their face.

This was especially so for the male contestants, who prayed to the heavens above that they would not end up going against her in the next round.

”N-number 26 wins…” Recovering, the elder in charge of Qing Yi’s stage quickly announced her victory as he watched Qing Yi walk towards the rest of the contestants. Waiting quietly for the next round of elimination to begin.

”… Your disciple sure is something, Elder Xuan…” Wang Hu shivered slightly as he looked at Qing Yi before turning towards Xuan Hao, looking at him with wry smile.

”Indeed, she is quite talented!” Xuan Hao did not sense anything wrong with the way Wang Hu talked and answered him in a slightly proud tone.

”Number 99 and number 34, go towards stage 1 and get ready to fight!” An elder announced as the boy who beat Wen Lu made his way towards stage number 1.

In front of him was a girl around the age of 17, clearly older than the boy.

The girl had managed to get the third place back at the entrance examination and still did not have a master. This had in turn allowed her to enjoy quite a bit of attention from the older disciples of the sect, as well as some of the elders hoping to take her in as their disciple, she was after all the most talented female disciple among the younger generation.

”Hmph, boy, I’m not like that Wen Lu and won’t underestimate you like he did. You won’t be able to sneak attack me like you did him! Surrender and I will spare you the humiliation!” The girl arrogantly swayed her hips as she looked disdainfully at the boy standing in front of her.

”Good! I’m lacking in talent and need to obtain advice from sister fairy, I hope sister fairy will go easy on me.” The boy bowed slightly as he got ready to fight.

The spectators looked on weirdly as they wondered how the boy came up with such a cheesy line.

”… You can take him as a disciple, I won’t fight you…” Xuan Hao looked at the boy and then back up at Wang Hu as he stated his willingness to give up on the boy. Xuan Hao had enough to deal with at the moment, having a cheesy main character won’t help in any way…

”…” A few black lines appeared on the side of Wang Hu’s head as he looked at Xuan Hao and then the boy down at the stage, then he sighed and shook his head a bit before deciding not to argue with Xuan Hao.

”Since you want to fight, then alright… Don’t say I didn’t warn you!” The girl stepped forward as her clothes fluttered in the wind. Her feet landed softly on the ground, like an otherworldly fairy had descended. The girl was beautiful beyond belief and not as much as a speck of dust managed to come in contact with her as she moved directly in front of the boy.

”My name is Yi Xuan.” Yi Xuan came to a stop in front of the boy as she introduced herself.

”Lu Wen!” The boy said his name as he looked at Yi Xuan with a smile on his lips.

”Stage 1, you may begin fighting when ready.” The elder in charge of stage 1 said in a slightly annoyed tone as he looked at the two, who looked like they were about to flirt with one another at any moment.

Yi Xuan’s eyes shone slightly upon hearing the elder and quickly took a bit more distance from Lu Wen as the sun shone down on her beautiful jade white skin. She almost looked like an immortal goddess in human form as she smiled slightly upon seeing the crowd of people staring at her with eyes full of adoration and awe.

Lu Wen gulped slightly as he looked at her. His opponent was an otherworldly maiden. Although she looked weak and frail, Lu Wen knew that she was strong and not to be underestimated.

But Lu Wen had no plans on showing mercy. He knew that he did not have the qualifications to show mercy, as the girl in front of him was most likely at the same cultivation realm as himself!

Yi Xuan held her hands behind her back and stood still, as she waited for Lu Wen to make his move.

She had clearly learned from Wen Lu and did not attack immediately.

”Ahm… Ladies first… It’s better you be first!” Clearly not intending to go first, Lu Wen shamelessly told Yi Xuan as he smiled cheekily.

”Quite a disciple you have chosen Wang Hu…” At this moment even Xuan Hao felt like hitting him.

”…” Wang Hu had nothing to say, he had indeed decided to take in Lu Wen as his disciple. After all, who would say no to such a talented disciple?

But the more he looked at it, the more he felt like this Lu Wen was more trouble than it was worth. Looking over at Xuan Hao, he could not help but admire his foresight in giving up on taking in Wen Lu.

No matter what, someone would have to train such a talented disciple and from the looks of it, he had become the scapegoat…

”Hah… Why couldn’t we get a normal talent, like Ling Song…?” Wang Hu had no idea what kind of disciple he had decided to take in, but at least he knew that he was talented. All that needed to be fixed was his behaviour…

”Ah, lady fairy, remember to be gentle, I’m not as strong as you are!” As Wang Hu made up his mind to correct this unfilial disciple, he heard that person’s shameless voice and almost felt like spitting out blood.

I’m not even your master yet, at least leave some face for when I take you in!

Wang Hu seemed to see all the difficulties in front of him in the future and seemed to grow 10 years older in an instant.

”Then I’ll make my move, watch out!” Not affected by Lu Wen’s shamelessness, Yi Xuan seemed to have seen an opening and immediately took the chance to launch an attack.
