Chapter 37: Chapter 37: The Big Leagues and The System’s Hidden Upgrade

Ethan was still sprawled out in the massive bed, feeling the delicious ache of every muscle in his body. He stared blankly at the ceiling, basking in the silence after the storm.

[That was a damn good screw, wasn’t it?] The System’s voice chimed in, sounding strangely satisfied.

”You better believe it,” Ethan replied, a wide grin spreading across his face. ”I see now those stats actually work wonders. Every time I felt Victoria was about to make me blow, I could just hold it back in my head. If it wasn’t for that, I don’t think I’d have survived those two rounds I managed to win.”

[She would’ve drained your balls in record time. She was tasty, yeah, and a pro. A rookie like you can’t just take a whore like her and tame her,] the System stated matter-of-factly.

[Oh, speaking of which: Time for your rewards.]

The System’s voice listed the rewards with a flourish:

[— Sex Reward: Have sex with any woman and make her scream like a bitch in heat: $50,000.]

[— Sex Reward: Have sex with any woman and leave her craving your dick: $100,000.]

[— Acquisition: Obtain wet panties from a woman you met that same day: $10,000.]

[— Speed Runner: Have sex with someone you met less than 30 minutes ago: $50,000.]

[— Service Received: Receive a blowjob: $10,000.]

[— Service Performed: Perform cunnilingus: $20,000.]

[— Act Performed: Have Vaginal Sex: $25,000.]

[— Act Performed: Have Anal Sex: $50,000.]

[— Special Reward: Romeo - Make a woman squirt 1 time: $20,000.]

[— Special Reward: Hero - Make a woman squirt 2 times: $30,000.]

[— Special Reward: Sex Titan - Make a woman squirt 3 times consecutively: $50,000.]

[Total Acquisition: Congratulations, you have successfully acquired $415,000.]

Ethan just stared at the sudden influx of cash. ”Holy shit. Now that’s what I call making money!”

The System gave a digital huff. [Everything before this? Peanuts. Now you start playing in the big leagues, kid.]

”Ha ha heh,” Ethan laughed out loud, sitting up. He asked the System, ”So, any woman I fuck gets me this much money?”

The System chuckled darkly. [Yes and no. If she’s got the same status, with the same needs and desires, then yes. But if you just pick up some random whore off the street? You won’t get anywhere near this amount for having sex with her.]

Ethan slid out of bed and walked over to the full-length mirror. He saw a man who was undeniably muscular, his abs sharp. He still remembered Victoria complimenting his physique and those abs, yet he’d been out of shape just a week ago when the System appeared.

”System, why is my body changing so fast? Is this your fault?”

The System confirmed it. [Yes. That daily mission I give you? The one that explicitly gives you 1 Lux and $5k? That’s just the stuff you see. There’s an internal reward. In reality, you earn 2.5 Lux Points daily, but 1.5 of those points have been secretly invested back into you: into your muscle mass, your sex appeal—making you slightly less ugly than you were—and repairing damage to your internal organs.]

”No way!” Ethan exclaimed, shocked. ”Seriously, why the hell didn’t you tell me?”

[If I had told you, you might have tried to modify the allocation values or use those points for some other stupid shit. So, I didn’t say anything, and since 24 hours passed without appeal, the deal was accepted, hehehe.]

Ethan stood there, flabbergasted. ”You can’t be serious... So you lied to me?”

[I didn’t lie, rookie. I just didn’t tell you the whole truth. Besides, the scheme you were given is the best possible one for your lamentable previous state. Trust me, if you weren’t looking this good now, that woman wouldn’t have agreed to spread her legs for you so easily.]

”But you said money talks! You said that’s why she’d do it! Why are you saying this now?”

[Money is one thing, kid, but if you don’t have enough beauty or attractiveness, instead of getting her commission, you might have had to cough up an extra one or two million just to buy her. Hahaha. Those bitches think they’re worth too much.]

Ethan stood there for a minute, processing the System’s harsh logic. He had to admit, the bastard had a point. A good face and a nice body helped in every damn situation.

Suddenly, his stomach rumbled. ”I should grab something to eat,” he muttered to himself. The kitchen looked fully stocked, but honestly, he didn’t feel like cooking.

”I really need to hire some staff for cleaning and cooking. It’s a pain in the ass having to do things myself.”

[Now you’re talkin’, champ!] the System cheered. [Hire two women. Make sure they’re hot—big tits, a great ass. And tell them they gotta wear tiny thongs and no bra while they work. Just imagine all that bouncing around the house. Picture it!]

Ethan laughed out loud. ”That actually doesn’t sound like a bad idea,” he admitted. ”Maybe I’ll do that. But first, I need some food.”

He grabbed his phone. He scrolled through his contacts, stopping at the numbers for his childhood friend, Sarah, and another girl, Emily.

”It’d be nice to grab a bite with one of them,” he thought, a new, confident smirk on his face.

Just as he was contemplating who to text, a sharp notification flashed across his vision:

[+15 Lux Points]

The message was barebones, just the point gain. Ethan frowned, looking around the room before speaking. ”System, what the hell is that?”

[That? That means Victoria just uploaded the contract, and her money is officially hitting her account right now,] the System replied dismissively.

Ethan was confused. ”Wait, you gave me Lux Points because she made money?”

The System scoffed. [Are you an idiot? Why would I give you anything just because she got paid?]

”I don’t know, but why else would I get points because she got her money?” Ethan insisted.

[Because,] the System explained, dropping the sarcastic tone slightly, [she achieved something that had her seriously stressed out. She hadn’t been able to sell this property in years, so it was a huge monkey off her back. That was her deepest, most urgent desire at this moment. That’s why you got the points.]

Ethan stood there, staring at the notification, letting the affirmation sink in. He suddenly understood a whole lot more about how the game was played.
