Claimed By The King(s) Of Kings

Born to suffer.

Those words alone define Aina’s life. If there was ever a person destined for hardship, it was her. She came into the world not through love or intention but through recklessness.

Two people unable to handle their tequila, one drunken night, and a careless mistake, that is the chain of events that leads to her conception. From that moment forward, she is marked not by affection but by rejection.

Her half-siblings despise her, her father chooses to ignore her, her stepmother sees her as the stain upon her marriage, and her mother torments her for stealing away her youth.

Her father, Alpha Steyn Whitelock, was the proud leader of the prestigious Whitelock pack. Ranked eighth in the world, the Whitelocks are powerful and respected. Had it not been for Aina’s existence, Steyn might have ascended to the Kings of Kings council, a seat reserved for the most influential alphas.

His Luna, Teressa Whitelock, is his fated mate, a union blessed by the goddess. Teressa came from humble beginnings, a low-ranking member of the Whitelock pack as her family had been for generations. Yet her bond with Steyn transforms her life.

Together, they build a blissful love story, raising three children who prove themselves strong shifters, destined to carry the Whitelock name with pride. Life is good, until it is not.

One night, Steyn makes the greatest mistake of his life. At a club, drunk and careless, he sleeps with Bridget Hollowfest, a young woman barely twenty, unmated and vicious.

This indiscretion might have been forgotten if Bridget were a nobody. But she is not.

Bridget was the treasured daughter of the Alpha of the Hollowfest pack, a golden-tier pack ranked third in the world. Her bloodline is power, her name carries weight, and her father demanded retribution. Steyn had no choice but to accept the Hollowfest Alpha’s demand that he must marry Bridget. And so, Steyn takes a second wife.

There is no love in this union. Steyn never loved Bridget, and Bridget never loved him. Their marriage is one of convenience, a bond forged in resentment, and the hatred they feel for each other finds its cruelest outlet in Aina.

Because Bridget is a Hollowfest, not a single hair on her head can be touched. To harm her would be to insult her powerful family. And so the abuse is redirected to the next best target, her daughter. Aina became the Whitelock pack’s greatest punching bag.

She did not live a life like that of her siblings, basking in glory befitting the children of a Pack Alpha. Instead, she lived a life worse than that of a servant, subjected to venomous remarks from both her mothers, tormented by her siblings, and ignored by her father.

At sixteen years of age, it is safe to say: Aina was born to suffer.
