Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

[Your body is not limitless yet, but you will have a hard time filling it now.]

’I wonder who caused that issue in the first place...’ Moon Aiko rolled her eyes.

[If there is no limit on something, then we can’t apply % regeneration.]

’But there was still flat regeneration!’ Moon Aiko glared at no one in particular.

Soon after, she was snuggled by the mother, who was quite affectionate towards her.

”Yes, yes, you are very nice.” Moon Aiko didn’t know how to communicate her feelings well, but the coolness that was coming from this Beast was very nice.

Her husband whined that he wanted to join too, but his wife just gave him a glare and that shut him up.

[The Flat Regeneration consumed too much providence to be applied in the future.]

[You have already drained 20% of the total Providence that was allocated for you.]

[As such, things like birthday gifts and other things had to be stopped.]

Moon Aiko frowned even more. Those gifts were incredible in the beginning, and she was still looking forward to them, but now it seems like she wouldn’t get them at all!

’So about the compensation...’ Moon Aiko got to the point since she felt like she would have a headache if this kept going.

[As compensation, you have obtained: [Embryonic Breathing] ]

’Hm?’ Aiko tilted her head.

[Embryonic Breathing (Stage 1)]

[Passive (Innate Ability/Body Trait): Slot Type]

[Effect 1: Embryonic Breathing allows you to cultivate just by breathing.]

[You can choose a Cultivation Manual that correlates to Qi Gathering and activate it under [Slot]. During this process, you won’t learn any kind of enlightenment towards the Cultivation Manual, but it will always passively work.]

’Ohhhhh... but that doesn’t seem like enough.’ Moon Aiko would strip this system of its resources!

[...]

[As compensation, you have obtained: [Dawn Dew Absorption] ]

[Dawn Dew Absorption (Stage 1)]

[Active (Divine Ability/Body Trait)]

[Effect 1: During Dawn, it allows you to absorb special Dew and convert it into Vitality. (Conversion rate increases as your experience does.)]

Aiko nodded her head slowly. She then looked over her new title.

[Great Fluff Equal to Heaven]

[1st Effect: You have learned many things, both sensual and commanding. Now you can lead others much better!]

[2nd Effect: Hidden ]

’I don’t like hidden things.’ Moon Aiko’s ears snipped unhappily. She was quite stubborn when it came to certain things, and this was one of them.

She had a bad feeling that the second effect might be negative, since the system turned sides too quickly.

[Melody of Healing]

It is a composition of vocal sounds that you are supposed to make to activate your internal healing.

It’s not limited by Dantian or Meridians, as it accepts all kinds of energies, especially Natural Qi.

’I have never seen Cultivation Manual Rank, how high does this go?’ Aiko narrowed her eyes.

[Cultivation Manuals are separated into two groups.]

[One group has further subgroups, and the other which are by itself.]

[You have: Mortal -> Earth -> Sky -> Spirit -> Saint -> Heaven]

[These are further separated into: Low -> -Middle- -> High]

[Please do keep in mind that ”Middle” is not usually used, and you just say the main Rank of the Manual.]

[After that, you are left with the final two: Divine -> Ancient]

’What differences do they make?’ Moon Aiko wanted to know more, since her other Manuals were not ranked.

[The higher you go, the fewer impurities and bad habits those Manuals will introduce. After a certain point, you will also obtain a ’modifier’ allowing you to gain more for the same effort.]

Moon Aiko nodded her head. She went over Techniques, Manuals and Titles.

For the rest, she would check her tails and if everything is alright with them.

She could feel that her tails were slightly changing, too, so she no longer needed to take things out to check them.

Her Demonic Foxes from both the Sacred Realm and this world were floating around, happily chatting and doing things.

Aiko was satisfied with this, but she also felt that something was amiss with them.

Well, she couldn’t take them out here, so she couldn’t check them out; that would have to wait when she left this place.

As for Feifei and the more fragile beings...

It seems that Yuqi was getting along with her. So there was no need to worry for the time being.

Moon Aiko then checked her Ghosts. They were hibernating right now, and the Lamp was pretty much drenched in Ghost Qi.

It seems like someone was able to convert the excessive energy she had previously into a bit of Ghost Qi, but since her energy exploded, it had a similar effect on it, too.

The Ghost didn’t seem hurt, but they were in a vegetative state. They didn’t move or breathe.

Her Grandpa Flame was also asleep, but for some reason, he looked quite angry.

’I hope Sun Aiko didn’t do anything to him...’ Moon Aiko pursed her lips. She will have to comfort him later.

The [Ancient Spiritual Water] was not doing well at all. Most of it vaporised due to the intense heat, and only the True Essence was left behind.

This was both good and bad. Any impurities in the [Ancient Spiritual Water] had been naturally obliterated, but now it didn’t have its ’outer membrane’, which meant it was that much more fragile.

Aiko would have to find more precious waters to feed it, or give it a few from her tails.

The Phoenix’s blessing vanished, but for some reason, she didn’t feel nervous. Aiko was quite satisfied with this.

Looking back at her items storage, she felt like she was missing quite a few things.

She did want to scold the system, but she was getting quite drowsy, so she wanted to finish as much as possible.

The [Primordial Holy Blood Essence Marble] already has its owner, so Aiko didn’t need to make plans for that one. The [Demonic Heritage] was still incomplete, unfortunately, so she would have to keep it inside her inventory.

For some reason, [Yueying’s Reverse Scale] was shining brightly, as if it was trying to signify something, but Aiko didn’t know what it was.

The last item would be...

”[Otherworldly Abyssal Fluff Cultivation Manual]?” Moon Aiko tilted her head. This book looked simple, but it felt like there was something precious inside.

’For later.’ Moon Aiko nodded her head. She currently doesn’t have any energy.

A few other things changed, but the biggest one would be [Divine Solar Body]; it seems like this one was the thing that was suppressing her, and she would have to combat it somehow in order to regain control over her forms.

Her Elemental Affinities didn’t budge an inch, even with just Evolution, it was probably interfered by the system. She would have to develop it properly this time, since it didn’t seem like she would be getting any freebies.

The only thing that Aiko couldn’t find for some reason was the [Divine Fate Weaving Jumping Spider] or her Spidey. It disappeared inside her tails and Aiko couldn’t find it.

Shaking her head gently, she couldn’t focus on it right now, so she would have to go through her Bloodlines.

She no longer had individual Bloodlines in the second category, but one powerful one.

It seems like one powerful one was better than the combination, and that’s probably why the [Divine Witch of Nightmares] Bloodline got overshadowed.

In order to combat that, she would have to develop her Bloodline. Unsealing it would be the first step.

[You should recover first, as it requires a lot of energy.]

[It’s also advised that you reach 95% Beast Core Purity.]

Moon Aiko thought that the system was making fun of her. She currently had 80% and 95% seemed like it was close, but just raising it to 80% was a pain in the ass!

Aiko couldn’t imagine how much it would take for her to reach higher purity at this rate.

’You still owe me the system, convert my Stat Points and Skill Points at a higher rate.’ Moon Aiko needed many benefits since it seemed like she would have to branch out.

In order to improve her Beast Core purity, she would have to first wake her Grandpa Flame and [Ancient Spiritual Water].

Those two would allow her body to wash impurities off over time, allowing her to reach the stage of unsealing.

Another thing she had to do was to find Mei. She must be worried about her, especially since her vitality is so low.

Suddenly, there were footsteps coming her way.

Moon Aiko was not worried since she knew where she was and who might be coming, but...

’Isn’t that a bit too many steps?’ Aiko heard too many boots coming her way, like it was a small army trying to invade her territory.

Moon Aiko kept staring at those doors as they opened.

A group of old grandpas were visiting her for some reason.

-----

It was a mesmerising sight before them. The Elders were completely captivated by her cool beauty.

Her eyelashes along her eyebrows and lips sparkled gently, making inviting gestures towards them.

Her fair skin, not covered by anything, glistened thanks to all the Ice Qi that formed in this room.

Only those hateful little pups blocking their view! They couldn’t enjoy it at all!

Just then, a slender hand touched the doors and closed them just before their eyes.

All Elders turned towards that person, wanting to scold them, but...

”I believe you should wait outside.” It was one of the Martial Elders and the Hidden Peak Elder.

Both of those women were scary if you tried to peek at them.

”I think you should stay out, too.” Ah Cy pursed her lips and stopped her Disciple.

”Huh, why?” Li Xiu couldn’t take a proper look inside since she had to keep a respectful distance from the Elders.

”You are captivated enough.” Ah Cy said blankly, but Li Xiu was even more confused.

Ah Cy locked the doors with a seal and entered the room through the window with the other Elder before locking the windows too.

They were now alone inside with the little fluffballs.

”Ah Cy.” Moon Aiko nodded her head slowly as she rubbed her eyes. Her sleepy demeanour captivated even the most celibate individuals.

”You look even more gorgeous in this form.” Ah Cy was glad she didn’t take her Disciple inside. Otherwise, she would definitely be completely charmed and under her thumb...
