Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

It took more time than Aiko’s team expected, which was a good thing. This entire forest turned into a fortress.

It could still be bypassed through the skies, although they knew this, there was little they could do to fortify it from that approach.

They looked at each other as they felt the ambient Qi dropping by a large margin, causing them to stagger.

”It’s starting.” The Blood Fox heightened her senses and waited for the incoming Cultivators...

...

{Before this started: inside the cave}

”You want me to conceal a Heavenly Phenomenon?! Are you crazy?!” The Ghost Lady scoffed at him.

”There is enough Qi around to make a concealing barrier, but I’m not skilled enough to accomplish that.” Slave 1 pointed at it.

”You can’t create a simple Concealing Array?” The Ghost Lady snorted disdainfully.

”I can, but I can’t create one that is good enough to conceal this little Devil!” He pointed at his Mistress, who was already creating a huge vortex of Qi around herself.

The Ghost Lady frowned. ”Fine, but make sure that there are enough Qi Gathering Arrays to offset her spending!” She demanded.

”That’s impossible! But I will do my best.” Slave 1 protested, but still did his job.

Aiko was still gathering Qi and it would take time before she caused any kind of disaster.

The two were swift at their work. The Ghost Lady created the Concealing Array which was a tier higher than what it was supposed to be.

Yet, guessing from the larger and larger vortex... that might not be enough.

”Can’t you work faster?!” The Ghost Lady shouted at him.

”Even if you tell me that- I already created 20 Qi Gathering Arrays and I’m running out of Ghost Qi!” Slave 1 whined as he used most of his Ghost Qi to create those Arrays. It was fortunate that they were self-sustained, otherwise he would absolutely perish from the upkeep!

”Fine! Just don’t spend it all!” The Ghost Lady was upset that she had to use her Ghost Qi reserves.

”Leave it to me!” Slave 1 shouted and drew many, many Qi Gathering Arrays.

”What’s the number now?” The Ghost Lady cried at the amount of Ghost Qi they had to spend.

”53! Can’t fit any more inside here!” Slave 1 stopped his drawing and finished the last Qi Gathering Array before turning around to marvel at his creation.

”I really outdid myself this time.” He nodded happily.

”Outdid? You outdid yourself?! Can’t you see the vortex is still growing?!” The Ghost Lady shouted at him.

”There is not enough room for more, woman! Not to mention that if I constructed any more Qi Gathering Arrays, we might cause another Heavenly Disaster ourselves!” Slave 1 huffed at this ignorant woman.

”Tsk.” The Ghost Lady clicked her tongue. ”What do we do now?”

”Possess anyone that enters this cave and slaughter the others with them.” Slave 1 shrugged.

The Ghost Lady shivered. ”I don’t like that!”

”Then deal with it! If she perishes, you won’t have a nice home and we both know that!” Slave 1 could not deal with this woman any longer and went back into the Primordial Soul Wood.

”You are leaving?!” The Ghost Lady was speechless.

”You stupid- We need to recover our energy if we want to possess anyone, just refine a bit of Qi inside here. Considering Mistress’s consumption, it’s unlikely that we will make a difference.” Slave 1 snorted at her.

The Ghost Lady didn’t like that idea, but since Cultivators would surely come, it would mean that her ’home’ might be taken away by some perverted bastard, which she hated even more.

”Ugh! Fine!” She went back into her Lamp and gathered energy to recover. She was weak now that she was ’robbed’ of so much Ghost Qi.

...

Meanwhile, Aiko had the time of her life and by that, I mean that she was cursing loudly.

[The [???] Bloodline exceeded parameters.]

[Warning! It is not enough to get away from the creator.]

[Your Bloodlines will be forcefully assimilated to the creator’s liking.]

[Forced Evolution is under process!]

”Fuck! Fuck! Fucking shitty bastard! I will skin you alive; whoever is behind this system and especially that ’creator’!” Aiko was cursing, she was in her small [Soul Palace] watching the notifications unfold.

Being upset was an understatement. She was completely livid that her hard work would be discarded like this!

[Detecting a powerful Ghost Qi.]

[Assimilating some of that Ghost Qi.]

[Detecting a powerful source of Water Element.]

[Assimilating the Water Element.]

[The power behind the creator’s decision was increased by the Water Element!]

”I will make a rug out of you, you shitty creator!” Aiko shouted from her small Palace.

{Somewhere in the Immortal World}

”Hm?” A Gorgeous Fox tilted her head. Her body, face, and everything were hidden behind a mist. ”Someone wants to take Dew Essence from me?” She was confused. She only sent the Dew Essence into the Mortal World to sow discourse and cause the downfall of that whore.

The Gorgeous Fox stirred her tea and the cloudiness disappeared. ”Oh?” Her eyes sparkled. ”It’s so rare for Fennec Foxes to advance this far. Moreover, she is so far from her tribe...”

Her smile turned into a sadistic, twisted smile. ”That means she doesn’t have the protection of the tribes~” She hummed as she found the perfect tool to scam those Fennec bastards. ”Hehe, I will completely remake her- Oh~, she even has a source of Water Element nearby, don’t mind if I do~” She giggled happily, yet her sadistic tendencies could not be concealed.

...

{Somewhere else in the Immortal World}

”Phew.” A Graceful Lady massaged her shoulders. ”It’s so hard to return from Mortal Worlds.” It was even harder since she let her little abode crumble.

”But it’s fine~” She hummed happily. ”That little one is very cute. Kidnap me?” She giggled. ”I very much look forward to her exploits~” She hummed. She projected the small world in front of her and observed it. ”I wonder how much chaos she causes with my legacy~” She was very much looking forward to that.

”Report.” A servant kneeled.

”Talk.” She said icily. She didn’t like most of the servants here, since they were spies.

”The Sages are moving and causing trouble, some Sages are even targeting a Mortal World.” The servant reported without concealing anything. He didn’t want to die just yet, he still needed to report more to his master.

”Oho~, those old fogeys don’t know what’s good for them.” The Graceful Lady hummed while shaking her head.

Yet the servant did not leave the room after reporting.

”What?” She snorted at the servant.

”No, I just didn’t expect my Mistress to already know about this news.” The servant said with surprise.

The Graceful Lady tilted her head.

”The Mortal World that Mistress is currently projecting is the one being invaded by the Sages-” He immediately lowered his head, not daring to look up any more. He had never seen such a livid expression on her Mistress’s face.

”Are the others perhaps targeting Nüwa and her partners?” The Graceful Lady said without a hint of any emotions, yet the whole room cooled down significantly.

The servant’s body shook, he did not expect the oblivious and ignorant Mistress to know so much. ”You are correct, Mistress.” He prostrated himself, not daring even to breathe in her presence.

The Graceful Lady’s expression was worsening by the moment. Every Sage knew about her abode and what not to do. Yet they dared-...

”Right, those bastards and whores like to ignore me since I don’t take any actions most of the time.” She snorted disdainfully. ”Let’s lock that world under my Domain.” As if she would allow them to mess up her entertainment. It was enough that they sealed her over here, but they even wanted to bore her to death?! Dream on!

”Mistress you shouldn’t!” The servant suddenly shouted, but before he could say anything more, his pupils shrunk as his body was crushed into nothingness.

”It seems that servants nowadays forgot who to serve.” Her voice was booming and spread throughout the whole Moon. ”A purge is required, butler.”

”Yes, my Lady?” The Butler bowed, he was the only one truly loyal to her.

”Gather everyone within 2 minutes, those that do not gather or try to run...” She smirked.

”I understand.” The Butler bowed and his eyes shined. What happened to his Mistress to regain her vigour and take action? What did the Sages do?

He could not question his Mistress, but what he understood was that things were changing.

The Butler disappeared from his place, leaving the Graceful Lady alone.

”Now then, since I have time, let’s make the seal on that Mortal World extra vicious as payback for sealing me and trying to ruin my fun.” The Graceful Lady smiled with a devilish smile.

”Right, let’s heighten their pain receptors, injure their Souls... rob their providence... what else is there... Ah yes, erection dysfunction... maybe having boobs and other parts of the body pricked by needles filled with Chaos Qi to make it extra painful...-” The Graceful Lady continued to work, ignoring the gathering servants. ”Let’s also shroud that Mortal World so it can’t be found...”

She was a perfectionist when it came to her work and hobbies, which meant she didn’t like to work too much, but when she did... nobody would have a good time with her.

That was especially the case for the Sages that she was currently targeting.

”Well, I will allow this light interference to slide, but I still don’t like them wanting to affect her, so let’s make this as a temporary form...” The Graceful Lady finished shrouding the Mortal World and smiled lightly.

At that very moment, 97% of the servants were crushed to dust and only a few remained...

...

{Back to the Mortal World where the Gorgeous Fox resides}

”Right, let’s make the boobs extra large, I like to fondle big boobs.” The Gorgeous Fox giggled.

”I should also increase her height, since I don’t like small Foxes...” She was slowly working on changing her body.

”As for her personali- W-wait! Why did my projection disappear?! Who did this?! I will curse you!” The Gorgeous Fox’s face distorted that her new spouse was taken away from her.

”Oho.” A cold voice descended upon her residence. ”I did not think that Sages stopped respecting me after such a short amount of time.”

The Gorgeous Fox immediately knelt, her face was dripping with sweat. ”I-I-I don’t dare!” She could barely talk in the presence of this insurmountable pressure.

”Right...” The very familiar voice hummed. ”You even wanted to curse me. The one ruling over the Moon.”

”I didn’t!” The ’pitiful’ Fox shouted. ”I just wanted to invite you for tea! It’s a very special type of tea that some idiot named ’curse you’!” She was making up bullshit to soothe this lady.

”I expect a good Divine Da Hong Pao tea then.” The voice smiled, but the Fox was crying inside. It was impossible to get that tea! Even for her!

She could ask her toys to obtain them, but that would mean losing most of them! She didn’t want that.

”Since we are talking about tea, I expect an invitation ’soon’.” The Graceful Lady smiled before disappearing.

The Gorgeous Fox that was no longer gorgeous collapsed. ”Hahaha.” She was filled with an empty laughter, since she was now subjected to a death sentence...
