Fat and Ugly Villainess Wins Back Her Five Beast Husband

How long had it been? And Xavier was already calling her Kaelira so affectionately. You wouldn’t believe that nothing had happened between them yesterday.

However, Lucas still started moving the wheat ears. He wasn’t afraid of Xavier. He just felt that if this wheat was really as delicious as Kaelira claimed, it would be a shame not to have any.

Seeing him begin to work, Xavier snorted.

”If you have no ability, don’t blame others.”

In matters of mating, it all came down to one’s own ability. Being jealous was useless. If Lucas had the capability, he should go find Kaelira himself. However, Xavier didn’t think Lucas would succeed. With his picky nature, what female would tolerate him?

Ace carried bundles of wheat while quietly observing Sora. He took a subtle sniff and noticed that she still carried Xavier’s scent. It seemed certain that the two of them had been together yesterday. Snake beastmen were naturally possessive and lustful, so it wasn’t surprising that Xavier had left such an obvious scent on her.

Just now, Xavier had called her Kaelira so affectionately, which meant things between them had progressed quickly. Ace also noticed that Kaelira looked much better today than usual. Her once-flat nose was now high and straight, making her features appear far more attractive. Her entire temperament had changed.

Could mating for one night really have such a beautifying effect?

Ace couldn’t help pondering the question as he continued studying Sora.

Meanwhile, Lukan silently bent down to help carry the wheat without Sora needing to ask. When she walked closer, he also caught that unmistakable scent.

Werewolves possessed exceptionally keen senses of smell, and his particular ability further enhanced that gift. The scent clinging to Sora was unmistakably Xavier’s. Ordinary hugs or kisses wouldn’t leave such a strong mark.

Unless...

Thinking of that possibility, Lukan glanced at Sora once more.

She had slimmed down considerably. Her waist now curved gracefully, and even her previously dark skin had become much fairer, nearly matching the lighter complexions of the females in the tribe.

She looked like a completely different person.

Before, he had only thought she was overweight. Now that she’d lost weight, her naturally voluptuous figure had become strikingly obvious.

Whenever the beastmen returned from hunting, they often boasted about whose female had the curviest figure, secretly comparing whose mate was the sexiest. Lukan had never cared for such conversations.

But after seeing Sora today, he had to admit that none of their females could compare with her.

Although Ryan was surprised by how much weight Kaelira had lost, his attention was focused far more on the wheat she was carrying.

Kaelira claimed this grass was delicious and could even serve as a staple food.

He found that difficult to believe.

How could a few weeds possibly fill someone’s stomach?

Even herbivores had to eat several meals a day to stay full.

How could she shamelessly claim this yellow grass could replace beast meat?

What a joke.

Still, despite his doubts, Ryan quietly plucked several golden wheat ears while Sora wasn’t paying attention and stuffed them into his mouth.

The moment he chewed—

He nearly choked.

What was this?

It was so dry that it scratched the inside of his mouth. There wasn’t the slightest trace of flavor.

It was even worse than the thorny grass growing beside the road.

At least thorn grass contained some moisture in its stems, making it easier to swallow.

This wheat, however, was dry, tasteless, and difficult to eat.

Ryan couldn’t understand why Kaelira treated it like some priceless treasure.

Had she gone crazy?

Treating ordinary grass like treasure?

He had previously thought Kaelira was rather clever.

But after tasting the wheat, he suddenly felt that he had expected far too much from her.

”Be careful, everyone. This is valuable.”

Sora directed everyone to stack the wheat carefully to avoid damaging it.

Just as she was giving instructions, the system suddenly chimed.

Ding!

Ryan’s affection value has decreased by 10 points.

Attraction value has decreased by 5 points.

Hearing the notification, Sora turned toward Ryan.

He looked completely normal as he continued carrying the wheat.

She couldn’t understand why his attraction value had suddenly dropped so dramatically when she hadn’t offended him.

Confused, Sora silently asked the system,

”What happened? Why did his strategy value suddenly decrease?”

The mechanical voice immediately answered.

Report to host. Ryan is disappointed in you.

”Disappointed?”

Sora nearly stumbled.

Had she heard correctly?

Ryan was actually disappointed in her?

She hadn’t even realized he had ever held any expectations for her.

Unable to help herself, she asked,

”When did that happen? When did he ever have expectations of me? Could he be like Xavier—completely captivated by my figure? Unexpectedly, he looks cold on the outside but is actually passionate inside.”

Her thoughts immediately began racing.

If that were true...

Perhaps she should change her strategy.

Just as she considered the possibility, the system’s mechanical voice interrupted again.

Host has misunderstood. Ryan is not interested in your appearance. He is disappointed because you collected wheat that is difficult to eat.

Sora fell silent.

She knew it.

With her current appearance, excessive confidence really wasn’t appropriate.

She had clearly become overconfident because of Xavier’s temporary success.

After calming herself, she asked,

”Then why is he disappointed in me just because I collected wheat?”

Ryan secretly tasted the wheat and found it rough, dry, and difficult to swallow. Therefore, he became disappointed in you.

Sora was speechless.

Who eats raw wheat straight from the stalk?

He had shoved the entire ear into his mouth without even removing the husk.

If he wasn’t asking for punishment, then who was?

Yet he still expected the strategy value to remain unchanged?

He even acted like some scholarly intellectual, believing that only meaningful achievements deserved respect.

Seriously...

She was only here to conquer targets.

She wasn’t trying to reinvent civilization.

Still, recovering those lost affection points wouldn’t be difficult.

Once she returned to the tribe and ground the wheat into flour before making noodles and steamed buns...

Ryan would definitely be shocked.

People who admired intelligence really were a little strange.

The bundle of golden wheat ears on Sora’s back was somewhat loose.

She carefully tied everything together with sturdy vines before lifting it onto her shoulders.

Once bundled neatly, it became much easier to carry.

Although the route uphill was steep, beastmen possessed remarkable stamina, making the climb effortless for them.

Sora, however, was the most delicate among the group.

Several beastmen exchanged glances, preparing to help her.

Before any of them could move, Sora grabbed Lucas’s back and climbed onto it.

”You can fly up much faster with those wings, right?”

The mountain trail was rugged and littered with loose stones. No matter how carefully the others walked, riding on someone’s back would still be bumpy.

After everything she’d gone through the previous night, Sora had no intention of enduring more discomfort.

Flying straight to the top was clearly the fastest—and most comfortable—option.

Seeing Sora choose him, Lucas raised an eyebrow.

His emerald-green wings spread wide behind him as long feathers shimmered in the sunlight.

He could have flown straight upward.

Instead, he deliberately circled above everyone’s heads before ascending.

When passing over Xavier, Lucas intentionally spread his wings even wider.

The powerful gust forced Xavier to stumble back several steps.

Watching green feathers drift overhead, Xavier’s mouth twitched.

He silently decided he’d settle the score with Lucas sooner or later.

Meanwhile, Sora sat securely on Lucas’s back, completely unaware of the silent battle taking place beneath her.

Her only concern was holding tightly onto Lucas’s neck so she wouldn’t fall.

Although flying was far more comfortable than traveling on land, the occasional air currents still caused gentle bumps.

Fortunately, today’s weather was clear, making the journey smooth.

Flying upward was indeed much faster than climbing the mountain on foot.
