Realized Game: I Hoarded 10 Billion Defense Towers

In Country F’s Knight Arena, the New Olympic Games were in full swing.

All the nations knew they had just finished inheriting a new wave of game abilities. At the same time, they had also inherited another wave of new monsters. While having Neutral Cities meant they didn’t have to worry about monsters spawning inside them, the total number of monsters remained unchanged. If they didn’t spawn in or near the cities, they would simply appear in other nearby locations.

Furthermore, after the second event’s full inheritance tonight, everyone saw the special notification: the inheritance restrictions on Super Bosses had been lifted.

As a result, the New Olympic Games was organized at a breakneck pace with all procedures simplified. After a brief opening ceremony, the 1v1 elimination tournament began immediately. The competition moved so quickly that many national teams arrived mid-event, linking in late. No one found this surprising. Since it was an elimination tournament, you could simply leave if you couldn’t win. Everyone understood the delays.

After all, a prerequisite for attending the New Olympic Games was clearing out the monsters threatening the cities back home. It wouldn’t do to attend the games only to return to an overrun home.

Moreover, with the restrictions on Super Bosses lifted, many of today’s bosses were appearing sporadically and gradually rather than in a single wave. This forced many competitors to use their linked Divine Artifacts to teleport back to their own countries and eliminate a boss immediately after finishing a round. Once the threat was handled, they would teleport back to continue competing.

In short, the first New Olympic Games was a study in variety, chaos, and flexible rules.

”What’s the situation?”

The New Olympic Games proceeded rapidly. Because of the rule allowing revival after death, most people unleashed their strongest attacks with reckless abandon the moment they entered the arena. Killing the enemy was ideal. If they couldn’t, they could at least end the match quickly and get back to other matters. As a result, the matches were incredibly fast. Many people were even eliminated less than three seconds after entering.

Inside the arena, in the spectator stands, someone quietly approached Country F’s special ”Knight’s Power” Divine Artifact holder.

”We’re missing quite a few!” the holder of the Divine Artifact from Country F quickly relayed to the person beside him. ”According to the rules from before the game’s arrival, there should be 197 National Treasure Divine Artifacts on the entire planet! But right now, only 113 Divine Artifacts have linked up! I sent a link request to the rest, but a good portion of them haven’t responded at all!”

Their original goal in hosting the New Olympic Games had been to target Great Xia. But as the competition progressed and they discovered that other nations also had special Ability Users, they expanded the scope of their data collection. To their surprise, however, not many nations showed up. Fewer nations were willing to link up than they had imagined. Of course, they knew that some nations must have lost their National Treasure Divine Artifacts, but they were still shocked by how large the number was.

”What about the major powers?” the visitor continued to ask.

”All the major powers participated. The only one that didn’t is Japan!” the Country F holder quickly replied.

”Japan?”

”Yes. Their Divine Artifact is linked, but they’re not responding at all...”

”What on earth happened to Japan?”

The Country F holder’s words made the visitor frown. Previously, Japan’s name had been absent from the leaderboard for occupying Neutral Cities, which was displayed on everyone’s personal panels. This had led many to speculate that Japan was the only major power with an incomplete set of National Treasure Divine Artifacts, or that their artifacts had been lost entirely. But now, hearing the Country F holder’s reply, it was clear that Japan’s Divine Artifact was intact and in someone’s possession; otherwise, it couldn’t have established a link. The fact that they were linked but not responding was very strange.

”Don’t worry, they might just be held up by something! Some countries are just slower to link up!” the Country F Divine Artifact holder said reassuringly to the American next to him, who had come specifically via the Divine Artifact Link.

”Alright!”

Nodding, the two of them turned their attention back to the arena before them.

At that moment, it was Great Xia’s Immortal Emperor’s turn to fight again. He was one of the top contenders in tonight’s battles. The Immortal Emperor had been magnificent, wielding a mystical Flying Sword that no one had yet been able to block. He was also the fastest to defeat his opponents, taking out an enemy roughly every three seconds. Furthermore, this Immortal Emperor from Great Xia currently held the record for the most wins. If he won this next match, he would directly secure a spot in the top ten.

”BEEP!”

”Begin!”

As the two men focused their attention, the referee’s horn sounded.

SWOOSH!

The instant the match began, the Flying Sword hovering above the Immortal Emperor’s head shot forward like a bolt of lightning.

CRACK!

His opponent, a contestant from India, excitedly raised an arm that had turned golden. Unfortunately, it was like paper. The Flying Sword instantly pierced through the golden arm and sliced the Indian contestant’s head clean off.

”BEEP!”

”Great Xia Immortal Emperor wins!”

”Next match!”

Amidst the hushed silence of the audience, the Immortal Emperor had once again claimed an effortless victory.

The Divine Artifact holder from Country F was speechless. Witnessing the Immortal Emperor’s invincible form once again, everyone fell silent. This was especially true for the representatives from the several Gouba Kingdoms, whose initial purpose for organizing the New Olympic Games was precisely to investigate the strength of Great Xia.
