Realized Game: I Hoarded 10 Billion Defense Towers

He didn’t have to worry too much about monsters suddenly spawning and depleting the durability of Sun Yu’s Defense Towers.

The Heaven-Reaching Tower!

Nodding a greeting to Gun’Er as he walked over, Shen Fei’s thoughts drifted to the now-docile Heaven-Reaching Tower in the center of Qing City.

Today, although his plan had included conquering more cities, what ultimately drove him was the mutated Heaven-Reaching Tower. According to the game’s ability inheritance rules, there were eight categories for inherited items, and the Heaven-Reaching Tower was included in the ”Other” category.

This ”Other” category was vast, encompassing everything from the game’s trees, cities, and monsters to its Secret Realms.

It was quite a coincidence that the dozen or so traitors from the Heaven-Reaching Gang had managed to inherit the Heaven-Reaching Tower from the ”Other” category. And once inherited, the tower had unexpectedly started spawning monsters with exponentially increasing strength. This was the main reason Shen Fei ended up defending nine cities by himself tonight.

On the one hand, the Heaven-Reaching Tower had made his night a frantic rush. Of course, on the other hand, the tower’s mutation also showed him just how powerful he really was.

It’s definitely related to the gift of fate... And that white-faced man who appeared during the defense of the first castle...

With everything over, Shen Fei finally had a moment to carefully consider the reasons behind it all. Unlike others who had inherited from the game, Shen Fei had received two extra things during the process: one was the [Tower Master’s Belt] equipment, and the other was the [Enlarge and Reduce] skill. Coincidentally, there were also two such unexpected events: the mutation of the Heaven-Reaching Tower and the appearance of the white-faced man.

Overall, the white-faced man had helped him quite a bit. The pressure from the Heaven-Reaching Tower’s mutation had also pushed him to realize his own strength, allowing him to defend nine cities alone.

But a mutation was still a mutation! It had to be taken seriously!

A Heaven-Reaching Tower that can spawn exponentially stronger monsters! If it really does end up forming a special Secret Realm unique to Yang City... once the Secret Realm update arrives and players can gain EXP from grinding monsters in the real world, it could actually be pretty good...

A few minutes later, a thought surfaced in Shen Fei’s mind. With monster strength jumping every ten minutes, if killing them granted EXP, then fighting in this special Heaven-Reaching Tower would solve the problem of monsters being too weak and EXP being too hard to get. Because the monsters could just keep getting exponentially stronger.

”Boss!” Gun’Er suddenly handed him a phone just as Shen Fei was about to think further. ”Brother Yu wants to know if we should do something about it.”

”Hm?”

Looking at the screen, Shen Fei was stunned once again. As news of Qing City’s successful city conquest spread, almost the entire city’s population was rushing toward Peter’s Castle. Even though half the buildings inside the small city had collapsed, it couldn’t dampen the public’s enthusiasm.

The internet had been buzzing last night. No one in Qing City had slept; everyone was watching the various battles for the Neutral Cities. As residents of Qing City, the people were naturally rooting for their home team.

Unfortunately, the videos of Qing City’s conquest were intermittent and incomplete. Although someone eventually posted a picture claiming Qing City had succeeded, amidst the flood of doubt and insults, no one believed it.

The people of Qing City were, of course, furious about this. They wanted to clear their city’s name. But unfortunately, when faced with everyone’s questions, the player who posted the photo simply vanished. This only made it seem more likely that the news of Qing City’s conquest was fake.

The morale of Qing City’s people plummeted. Then, as the monster tide from the Heaven-Reaching Tower in the city center continued to surge, the people from the Tourism Management Office were busy fending it off while urgently evacuating civilians from the ever-expanding monster impact zone.

Seeing this, everyone in Qing City felt that their city conquest team had probably failed for real. They saw the Tourism Management Office’s main forces all deployed: the deputy director with his tank battalion, and the director himself with his eighty thousand Tiger and Leopard Cavalry and his giant Golden Guardian. All of them were busy holding back the monster tide spawning in the center of Qing City. If the main forces were defending against the monster tide, then there was no one left to attack the Neutral City.

The sudden eruption of the Heaven-Reaching Tower had captured the attention of everyone in Qing City.

But to everyone’s surprise, not long after dawn, the monster tide from the tower ended. Everyone thought that after regrouping, the Tourism Management Office would likely try to conquer the Neutral City again.

But in the blink of an eye, countless pictures appeared on the local Qing City section of the Forum. Besides the pictures with their excited captions, all sorts of videos were also popping up rapidly. At the same time, everyone also saw that the city Qing City had captured was located in the southern suburbs.

As more and more people learned the news and rushed to the south side of the city, the news that Qing City had already captured a Neutral City—and that the city itself had been relocated to Qing City’s southern suburbs—blew up the Forum’s main channel. A continuous stream of selfies and videos, taken in front of the city and on its walls, were posted one after another.

The pride the people of Qing City felt now was as immense as the anger they had felt last night, when they were accused online of faking their success.

That main thread live-tracking the progress of each city’s Neutral City conquest had also quietly moved Qing City’s progress back to the NO. 1 spot.

Version 4.3 had been live for six or seven hours, but Qing City was still the only one to have successfully captured a city.
