Chapter 1412: Chapter 1408: On the Eve of Battle

However, although he cannot pull over the Void Divine Flower, and cannot control it, he can communicate with it.

His mind slightly stirred.

The Void Divine Flower slightly contracted.

The disciples of the Flower God Sect, who were waiting for the Void Divine Flower to descend with power, felt a bit puzzled.

Why does the Void Divine Flower delay in sending down the sweet rain?

After a while, they could no longer maintain their original posture and all raised their heads to look at the sky.

In the void, they saw the White Jade Rose slowly contracting.

Thousands of petals were closing layer by layer, from inside out, continually contracting.

Amidst their surprise and confusion, all the petals closed into a flower bud and then slowly disappeared into the void, without a trace.

”This...”

Someone couldn’t help but speak.

”What’s happening?”

”Something’s not right!”

”Sect Hierarch?”

...

All sorts of discussions arose along with the disappearance of the White Jade Rose.

Some were surprised, some confused, some hesitant, and some were questioning the Sect Hierarch.

Several Elders also looked towards the purple-faced elderly man at the center, confusion and worry filling their eyes.

They felt a chill in their hearts.

If something is wrong with the Divine Flower, then things could become extremely troublesome.

The Divine Flower is the foundation of the Flower God Sect, the source of all power, and the root of gathering hope and confidence among the disciples.

If something goes wrong with the Divine Flower, then the entire Flower God Sect will face a big issue.

Previously, there was an external enemy that invaded, ambushed, and severely damaged the Flower God Sect. The reason the Flower God Sect recovered quickly and was not defeated was because of the Divine Flower’s existence.

But if the Divine Flower faces problems now, it could be more terrifying than the previous enemy’s ambush and deceit.

It might even lead to the sect’s disintegration.

”Sect Hierarch...?” An elder softly spoke, ”Will there be problems?”

The purple-faced elderly man closed his eyes, concentrating his senses, his expression heavy.

Another elder was about to speak but was interrupted by his raised hand.

He continued to concentrate with his eyes closed.

The Elders were helpless, only able to gesture to the disciples to keep quiet and not disturb the Sect Hierarch.

After a while, the purple-faced elderly man opened his eyes and slowly said: ”Disperse for now.”

”Sect Hierarch?”

”Disperse for now, let me investigate carefully and I’ll inform you later,” the purple-faced elderly man waved his hand and said, ”The Divine Flower protects us, there’s no need to worry.”

”Yes.”

”Sect Hierarch, please investigate thoroughly.”

”Go on, go on.”

...

Once everyone dispersed, several Elders and the purple-faced elderly man returned to the central petal-shaped grand hall.

The bright and soft hall quickly filled with a gloomy depression.

A round-faced elder slowly spoke: ”Sect Hierarch, has there been a mistake?”

The purple-faced elderly man sighed: ”I can’t sense it anymore.”

”How is that possible?” the round-faced elder said: ”Did it disappear?”

”Yes, it disappeared,” the purple-faced elderly man said: ”I can’t sense it anymore.”

”Why did it suddenly disappear?” another elder said: ”It can’t just disappear without reason, right?”

”Who knows?”

”Could someone be causing trouble?”

”Who has the capability to meddle with the Divine Flower?”

They shook their heads.

”Could it be some change in the world causing the Divine Flower to lose connection?”

”Sect Hierarch, should we try again to see if we can summon the Divine Flower?”

”We can only try again.”

”...Then shall we try?” The purple-faced elderly man hesitated.

He vaguely felt that the result might not be good.

Being unable to sense the Divine Flower, the ceremony might produce the same results.

But having reached this point, not attempting another ceremony is not feasible.

The unrest among the people might be hidden temporarily, but not for long.

Thinking of this, he spoke earnestly: ”Then let’s try.”

...

A quarter-hour later, the light in the valley slowly faded, and the White Jade Square beneath the Flower God Sect disciples’ feet was still flowing with brilliance, patterns flickering.

But each of the Flower God Sect disciples wore a heavy expression and looked puzzled.

They all looked up.

Above in the void, the White Jade Rose was slowly contracting, gradually fading, merging into the void, disappearing without a trace.

The sweet rain they waited for did not descend.

They were extremely puzzled.

If the Divine Flower abandoned them, then why did it continue to appear?

Yet since it appeared, why did it not send down the sweet rain and merely appear?

What in the world is happening?

”Ahem.” The purple-faced elderly man sighed inwardly, interrupting the heavy mood: ”It’s just a temporary small problem, I believe it will slowly recover.”

”Sect Hierarch is absolutely right,” the round-faced elder hurriedly said, ”Perhaps we summoned too frequently, so the Divine Flower lacked power to descend. Waiting a while, allowing the Divine Flower to recover, should solve the problem!”

Another Elder said lightly: ”It’s no wonder the rule is to summon the Divine Flower at least once a month.”

”I see...”

The Elders suddenly realized.

The disciples were half-convinced, looking up at the sky, filled with concern.

If the Divine Flower truly abandoned them, can they still be called the Flower God Sect?

Can their cultivation still progress rapidly?

”First, go back and cultivate your heart well. No matter what happens to the Divine Flower, we must always cultivate diligently. Never forget we still have scores to settle!”

”Yes.”

”In a month, we’ll try again.”

”Yes.”

...

Chu Zhiyuan stood by the ancient tree, his body slowly rising, his green robe fluttering as if standing in a fierce wind.

His face was full of smiles.

Though the Void Divine Flower couldn’t be harnessed, it could be influenced.

These Flower God Sect disciples, through a unique secret technique, transferred their faith to the Void Divine Flower.

The Power of Faith is the highest tier among all spiritual powers, the most pure, and the most beneficial force.

The Void Divine Flower could not refuse. Upon receiving the Power of Faith, it had to refine, convert these powers, and incidentally expel the impurities.

The expelled impurities were the powers descending into the bodies of the Flower God Sect disciples.

Equivalent to returning a portion of their Faith Power through the conversion by the Void Divine Flower.

He slightly stirred his Heart and Spirit, forming a connection between himself and the Void Divine Flower, let the expelled powers descend upon him.

These Flower God Sect disciples essentially made a wedding robe for him.

Violent powers fell upon him, forcibly advancing the Taihao Jade Void Scripture.

This equated to a month of his hard cultivation.

He felt that the barrier to becoming a Spirit Venerable was growing increasingly thin; it could be pierced at any moment.

He then felt regretful.

If he could break through to Spirit Venerable during the battle between the two sects, it would be truly secure.

The two sects were about to go to war, but sadly the Flower God Sect disciples’ faith wasn’t pure enough.

If it were stronger, perhaps he could pierce the barrier in one go, thereby achieving Spirit Venerable.

He shook his head silently.

Looking once more at these Flower God Sect disciples, seeing their worried expressions and unsettled spirits.

In the coming month, they will likely remain in such a mental state, terribly difficult.

He felt no sympathy, only excitement.

In the next moment, he vanished.

...

Profound Yin Palace

In Xiao Ruoling’s courtyard, as soon as Chu Zhiyuan appeared, he was stared at in surprise by two women.

He too felt something unusual.

Super Sense engaged.

The Profound Yin Palace was enveloped in a massive light shield, impenetrable.

Xiao Ruoling and Shen Hanyue looked at him with astonishment.

”Princely Heir, you can actually enter?” Shen Hanyue curiously asked, ”The spiritual artifact is activated now; even the disciples within our palace cannot enter.”

Once the spiritual artifact is activated, it isolates the inside from the outside; no one can enter.

Yet it couldn’t stop him.

Xiao Ruoling said, ”Husband, the battle is about to start, you shouldn’t have come.”

Chu Zhiyuan smiled, ”The battle hasn’t started yet, so let’s continue practicing.”

Shen Hanyue said, ”We could start fighting at any moment, just look outside.”

Chu Zhiyuan had already seen outside the Profound Yin Palace; snow peaks formed by white clouds were filled with hundreds of red-robed men.
