Imperial Cultivation

Chapter 737: Chapter 733: Change

Li Yuzhen watched her leave and shook his head helplessly.

Your Highness is too reserved. This is in the Jade Dynasty, not the Phoenix Dynasty. What’s wrong with meeting once?

In the end, it’s nothing but shyness?

Compared to the actions of other princesses, Your Highness is too cold and conservative.

Her gaze then fell on those sword dance girls, looking thoughtful.

Those girls were light and graceful, their sword postures elegant and lively, like fairies descended to the mortal world.

The guests in Qionghua Building praised and were fascinated, indulgingly.

Li Yuzhen’s expression slowly became serious.

This kind of swordsmanship is truly exceptional. The sword technique may seem simple, but they grasp the essence.

Indeed, it is worth investigating.

...

At noon, Chu Zhiyuan and Chu Honglin still arrived at Qingfeng Cliff, basking in the bright sunlight.

”Elder Brother didn’t agree.” Chu Honglin shook his head, ”Ultimately, the demon techniques and Demon Sect must be banned.”

Chu Zhiyuan frowned, ”Feiyun Sect’s disciples are to have their cultivation abolished?”

”For now, don’t touch them, use them as bait to lure out other Demon Sects and catch them all in one net.”

”Aren’t you afraid of losing control?”

”Elder Brother doesn’t think they can lose control. Anyway, now that the Imperial City has no Great Sky Demon, there’s nothing to fear.”

Chu Zhiyuan shook his head, ”The power of the Demon Sect is not entirely in the Great Sky Demon.”

He continued, ”The threshold for demon techniques is low, the progression is fast, but it’s easy to be stuck at the Transformation Realm unable to break through... but to many people, reaching the Evolution Realm is already rare, and they are content.”

”Elder Brother surely understands these.” Chu Honglin said.

Chu Zhiyuan shook his head, ”Uncle, I don’t think Father really understands.”

Chu Honglin frowned at him, ”Elder Brother is wise and powerful. How could he not understand?”

Chu Zhiyuan said, ”Precisely because Father is like this, he can’t understand the despair and excitement of those with weak aptitudes.”

”Hmm...” Chu Honglin pondered.

Indeed, without personal experience, it’s difficult to empathize.

Chu Zhiyuan said, ”Father cannot truly understand their longing for cultivation, their emphasis on demon techniques, their deep feelings for the Demon Sect.”

He snorted, ”In their eyes, the Demon Sect is the true righteous sect, whereas the Court and the Great Sects prioritize interests and discard feelings. They are the outright villains.”

Chu Honglin laughed.

Chu Zhiyuan said, ”Their pursuit of cultivation is sincere, and they treat their fellow disciples sincerely too, unlike the righteous sects which are utilitarian and hypocritical.”

”Absurd!” Chu Honglin snorted.

Chu Zhiyuan said, ”They act extremely, are impulsive, so they are emotionally driven. When they look at the Court and the people from the Great Sects, they feel that everyone is cold and indifferent.”

Chu Honglin frowned, ”Nonsense!”

Chu Zhiyuan sighed, shaking his head, ”These are the thoughts of the Demon Sect disciples. I didn’t understand it before and thought abolishing their demon techniques would eliminate its influence, but now it still seems too naive.”

He initially only thought about the Demon Sect disciples being everywhere, and the Demon Clan easily influencing the Demon Sect.

So he thought demon techniques should be abolished, and the Demon Sect disbanded to eliminate the hidden dangers.

But now, after understanding the thoughts of the Feiyun Sect disciples, he has changed his original idea.

Chu Honglin said, ”Even more reason to abolish their demon techniques.”

Chu Zhiyuan shook his head, ”People who practice demon techniques usually have average aptitude. After abolishing the demon techniques, if they switch to other mental methods, they will find progress impossible, and without demon techniques, they will still be filled with resentment.”

Chu Honglin frowned, ”Will they still cause trouble?”

”If it’s just them, it’s fine. The fear is one generation after another accumulating resentment and then producing some powerful geniuses, which is extremely unfavorable for the Dynasty.”

”What’s more, those cultivating demon techniques are far more numerous than imagined.”

He had the thought, after observing, discovered almost everywhere were people practicing demon techniques.

Unable to cultivate regular mental methods, unable to join sects, or apprentice to martial arts schools, and without family martial arts, there are more than imagined.

Those with family martial arts have already mixed into the middle layers, entering sects and martial arts schools, and can step into the upper middle layers.

Those at the lower levels are the largest base, and their only hope is demon techniques.

If their cultivation path is further stripped, how could they not be filled with resentment?

If generation after generation builds resentment, it will inevitably shake the foundation of the Court.

Chu Honglin’s expression was solemn.

Chu Zhiyuan said, ”Father doesn’t understand these things, right? He probably doesn’t even care to understand, his eyes only focused on the Four Great Sects and Court officials.”

”... I will mention it to Elder Brother.” Chu Honglin’s expression was grave, ”If it’s really this serious, then it’s really troublesome.”

Chu Zhiyuan said, ”Look at the Phoenix Dynasty, see how they handle it. They’ve been established longer and have richer experience.”

”Hmm.” Chu Honglin nodded, ”There’s soon to be another Grotto Heaven opening, and you still have to enter.”

Chu Zhiyuan said, ”Uncle, if I leave the Imperial City, what about the Grotto Heaven?”

Chu Honglin shook his head helplessly, ”The Observatory surely has a way.”

Chu Zhiyuan said, ”Then why find the Observatory, why find me?”

”The Observatory has no one below the Divinity Transformation Realm.” Chu Honglin said, ”Entering it is also very dangerous.”

The experts of the Observatory need to use Miracle Techniques to seal their cultivation, avoiding the leakage of venerable energy.

Retreating to the Transformation Realm, very uncomfortable, they are easily caught by the Demon Clan.

In the same realm, the Demon Clan experts often have the upper hand, and if they have Soul Pearls for communication and attack together, it will be even more troublesome.

And Chu Zhiyuan possesses the Great Demon Suppressing Seal, is skilled in Demon Suppression, naturally the best choice.

Chu Zhiyuan said, ”I hope after I leave, the Observatory won’t mess up.”

Chu Honglin helplessly said, ”About your refusal to go to the Phoenix Dynasty, Elder Brother is already tired of me, doesn’t allow me to mention this.”

He has repeatedly tried to convince, to create a substitute for Chu Zhiyuan to go to the Phoenix Dynasty.

But he couldn’t persuade him at all.

Now, just mentioning it, the Emperor will darken his face and drive him away.

He did not believe and tried twice more, after being driven away twice, he can only give up.

Chu Zhiyuan said, ”Then don’t persuade, I know Father’s temperament, the more you persuade, the more determined he becomes, originally he might have considered change, but persuasion will make him not change.”

”Sigh...” Chu Honglin was very regretful.

As the marriage date approaches, he is increasingly reluctant to part with Chu Zhiyuan.

...

In the evening, when Chu Zhiyuan returned to the small courtyard of the Prince Mansion for dinner, Li Yuzhen came.

”Prince Consort, their origins have been clarified.”

”Which sect do they belong to?”

Chu Zhiyuan held a jade cup, sipped a bit of fine wine, and asked leisurely.

”Bamboo Sect, a small sect, indeed practices demon techniques.”

”Bamboo Sect... Do you know the situation of the Demon Sect near the Imperial City?”

”The Demon Sect near the Imperial City is countless,” Li Yuzhen said, ”Great or small, even groups of three or five people can become a sect or school. They all practice one demon technique, which is the Supreme Heavenly Demon Strategy.”

Chu Zhiyuan frowned.

”Based on the Supreme Heavenly Demon Strategy, then combined with various martial arts, each forms a sect or school, excessively chaotic.”

”Are there any top Demon Sects?”

”Feiyun Sect is considered the top, and there’s the Sunset Sect, also top, other Demon Sects are really not worth mentioning.”

Chu Zhiyuan slowly nodded.

”Prince Consort, Your Highness said our Dynasty once banned the Demon Sect, but later ignored them, the disadvantages of banning were greater.”

”Figured it out.” Chu Zhiyuan slowly nodded.

Now, it’s up to whether his words are effective, and whether he can change the Emperor’s mind.
