My Infinite System.

Lucian woke to silence.

Not the heavy silence of wounds and exhaustion, but the kind that came after storms—the quiet that lingered when the world had already broken and was piecing itself back together.

His eyes opened slowly. The ceiling of his quarters was the same steel-gray, the hum of the Nova Sanctum steady in his bones. His body still ached, but it was no longer screaming. The potion had done its work. Bruises faded, bones knitted, blood dried on his skin.

For the first time in what felt like forever, he could breathe without fire in his lungs.

Then the system flared.

[Notification: Legacy Path Unlocked.]

Lucian pushed himself upright, heartbeat quickening. A new panel unfolded in front of him, its glow softer than the others—white edged with silver, stretching into lines that curled and looped like they went on forever.

He frowned, reading.

[The Legacy Path is your soul’s true evolution line.]

[It holds ancient forms, combat styles, and world-altering abilities tied to who you were— and who you might become.]

He leaned forward slightly, eyes narrowing. ”Legacy...?”

The system pulsed again.

[Every being carries fragments of what they were meant to be. Bloodlines. Histories. Lost shapes etched in the marrow of their soul. Few ever unlock it.]

Lucian stayed silent. His breathing slowed as he absorbed every word.

[You are different.]

[Your embodiment is Infinity.]

The letters lingered longer this time, almost reluctant to fade.

[Infinity is not power. Not speed. Not strength. It is continuation. No end. No fixed form. It is the path where all other paths fold.]

Lucian’s jaw clenched faintly. His hands flexed against his knees. Infinity.

He remembered Prime’s voice in the void. You shouldn’t exist.

Now he understood why.

The panel stretched further, splitting into three faint outlines. Paths.

[Legacy Form I: The Eternal Duelist.]

A style that perfects combat without limit. Every strike learns, adapts, becomes sharper than the last. Your battles never repeat—they evolve endlessly.

[Legacy Form II: The Infinite Warden.]

A body that embodies endurance. Space and time themselves bend to hold you up. No wound is final, no end is permanent. As long as one breath remains, you remain.

[Legacy Form III: The Endless Architect.]

The ability to shape reality itself into form. Structures, worlds, concepts—rewritten, rebuilt, stretched forever outward. Creation without boundary.

Lucian’s breath caught, just for a second. His system had given him weapons, skills, power. But this—this was different. This wasn’t about what he used. This was about what he was.

”Legacy Path...” he muttered. His voice was low, steady, but his fingers curled tight.

Kaelis stirred in the corner of the room, the spectral dragon raising its head. Its molten eyes studied him in silence, wings shifting as though it felt the weight of what had just appeared.

The system spoke once more.

[You do not choose lightly.]

[Your Legacy is not a branch. It is a foundation. Once carved, it cannot be erased.]

Lucian leaned back against the wall, letting the words settle. His body still remembered Prime’s blows, his chest still ached with every breath. Yet in that ache, in that pain, he felt the faint tug of something bigger—like the world itself leaning on him.

Infinity.

It wasn’t just about strength. It was the promise that he would never stop. That no matter what broke, no matter what ended, he would go on.

His lips curved, faint but real. ”...Fitting.”

The panel shimmered, shifting again. A faint trace of light spiraled upward, showing glimpses.

Him, standing alone against endless armies, every swing of his hand sharper than the last—The Duelist.

Him, bloodied and broken, rising again and again no matter how many times he fell—The Warden.

Him, standing in the void, pulling spires of reality out of nothing, shaping worlds with a thought—The Architect.

All were him. All were possibilities.

But deeper, beneath even those, he felt something else. A whisper not from the system, not from Cael, but from himself. A truth.

Infinity wasn’t about one form. It was about all of them.

He exhaled slowly, his shoulders lowering. ”So that’s it.”

The glow dimmed, the outlines folding back into the system’s core. A new tab appeared at the edge of his interface.

[Legacy Path: Active.]

[Progress: 0.1%]

A laugh slipped from him, soft and dry. ”Not even one percent...”

He pressed his palm to his face, dragging it down slowly. His hand came away stained with dried blood. His body might have healed, but the exhaustion still sat heavy.

Still, he couldn’t ignore the pulse running through him. A low hum, deep in his chest, steady as a drumbeat. The Legacy wasn’t waiting for permission—it was awake, whether he liked it or not.

Kaelis rumbled faintly, curling tighter around him like a guardian.

Lucian tilted his head back, staring at the ceiling. The words of the system still burned in his skull. World-altering abilities tied to who you might become.

He closed his eyes.

The world outside was still broken. The March was waiting. Eron was hunting. The monsters were rising.

But now he carried something more than rank, more than skills.

He carried his Legacy.

And it was infinite.

For the first time in years, Lucian allowed himself to lie back fully, shoulders sinking into the bed. His eyes stayed closed as the hum of the ship lulled him, but the faint glow of the Legacy tab pulsed once more at the edge of his vision, like a reminder.

[Legacy Path: Soul Alignment Required.]

[Unlock deeper resonance through battle, creation, and survival.]

Lucian’s lips curved faintly again. ”Battle, creation, survival... that’s all I know.”

The hum of the Nova Sanctum filled the room. Kaelis lowered its head near his side, wings folding closer, its gaze steady.

Lucian turned once, let out a slow breath, and closed his eyes again.

Tomorrow, he would step deeper into this world. Tomorrow, he would test this path.

For now—

He rested, Legacy burning faint in his veins, Infinity stretching before him with no end.

Lucian stirred awake again, this time with no dream chasing him. The faint glow of the system pulsed at the edge of his vision, waiting.

He exhaled slowly, then called it forward.

The panel unfolded.

User: Lucian Black

Rank: XXX

Level: 12

Power Level: 250,000

System Points: ♾️

Ability Tree:

— Space-Time Manipulation (Epsilon – Above XXX)

— Omnilingualism (Epsilon – Above XXX)

— Conceptual Dominion (Epsilon – Above XXX)

Special Titles: Riftwalker, The Returned, Breaker of Realms, Embodiment of Infinity

Lucian’s eyes stayed on the line for a long time.

Space-Time Manipulation (Epsilon – Above XXX).

”...Epsilon?” he muttered under his breath. ”That’s... the next rank above XXX?”

The system stirred. Cael’s voice, clear and sharp, answered inside his mind.

[Correct.]

Lucian leaned back in his chair, one hand rubbing at his jaw. His golden eyes narrowed faintly. ”Then explain. What comes after XXX?”

The panel shifted, new text appearing in silver light.

[Post-XXX Ranks are not measured by mortal systems. They are classifications of existence itself. Few have ever stepped into them.]

[The ladder is as follows:]

Epsilon Rank — The first step above XXX. A being who has surpassed all measurable limits but is not yet absolute. They embody concepts instinctively, bending them to their will. Still bound by form, but no longer bound by power.

Delta Rank — Evolution beyond Epsilon. A state where the user is no longer defined by ability alone but by how they rewrite rules. Reality begins to bend naturally around them. Their presence changes worlds.

Gamma Rank — A rare stage. Beings of Gamma embody paradox. They can be contradiction and truth at once. Space, time, and cause become suggestions, not commands.

Beta Rank — A higher state of resonance. They act as anchors of existence, shaping not only their own fate but those of others. History bends at their presence.

Alpha Rank — Beings of Alpha walk as apex dominions. Every strike, every breath, carries the weight of inevitability. They do not fight within the world—they fight as the world.

Omega Rank — The highest recorded classification. Absolute entities. No higher definition exists in the archives. Their embodiment is complete, their will absolute. Whatever they declare, is.

The words hung in the air, heavy.

Lucian’s jaw tightened. His gaze drifted back to his own panel.

Epsilon. The first step.

He muttered, almost to himself, ”So I’m only just standing at the door.”

Cael’s voice cut sharp, but steady.

[Correct. You are Epsilon. Above XXX, but far from the summit. Infinity means you can climb it—but each step will test you harder than anything before.]

Lucian let the panel fade. His eyes lingered on the dark steel ceiling. The hum of the Sanctum seemed louder now, as though the ship itself was waiting for what he would do next.

A faint smile tugged at his lips. ”...Epsilon, huh?”

He exhaled, slow and steady. His pulse beat calm.

”Then let’s see how far up this ladder I can go.”
