My Infinite System.

Hollow Dungeon – Third Floor

The moment Lucian stepped through the gate, the entire world changed.

Wind.

A deafening howl, sharp and alive, tore past his ears. The floor below was gone—replaced by crumbling ruins floating in a dark sky that shimmered with falling stars. Suspended platforms, glowing with ancient glyphs, hovered over a bottomless void. The air pulsed with mana. Every breath buzzed in his lungs.

Above, clouds circled like a vortex. Lightning flickered deep within them, silver and violet, but never struck. The silence between flashes felt...watchful.

Lucian landed on the first platform, his boots sending a small shockwave across the rune-covered stone. He looked up.

Three more platforms ahead. And at the very center—

A figure waited.

Massive. Cloaked in violet-black robes that moved like smoke. It wore no armor, no crown—just a skeletal mask that hovered an inch from its face, held in place by some invisible force. Long arms hung at its sides, claws trailing trails of etheric flame.

A name burned into Lucian’s vision.

[Floor Guardian: Warden of Starlight – Tier B-]

Lucian exhaled once. ”B-rank... this early?”

Cael’s voice echoed calmly.

[This is the true gate. Survive, and your body will be reborn into E-rank. Fall, and your system will seal for thirty days.]

Lucian cracked his neck.

”Then let’s dance.”

He dashed forward—leaping across the floating ruins. Mana surged through his legs. His shadow stretched behind him, pulled by the warping space between platforms.

[Fold Step: Activated]

He blinked forward—platform to platform—wind screaming past his ears. As he neared the third stone, a thin beam of violet light tore across the air in front of him, slicing clean through the ruin’s edge.

Lucian folded mid-air, reappearing just beside it. The moment he landed, the Warden moved.

No sound.

No warning.

Just presence.

It vanished from the center platform—then reappeared behind Lucian, its claw already swinging down.

[Chrono Sense – Auto Triggered]

[Danger Proximity: Critical]

Lucian dropped low—slid under the strike. A crater of pure starlight exploded behind him as the claw touched stone.

He spun, summoned a sphere of spatial distortion in his hand.

[Spatial Collapse – Tier 1]

He hurled it point-blank.

The sphere pulsed—imploded.

The Warden staggered back, cloak rippling violently.

Lucian didn’t pause.

He leapt forward—both hands surging with energy.

[Dimensional Claw – Full Activation]

A pair of glowing, translucent claws burst from his arms, tracing overlapping arcs through the air.

He slashed twice—one upward, one diagonal.

The first tore into the Warden’s shoulder. The second grazed its mask.

The air around them cracked.

The Warden screeched—its voice a chorus of dead stars.

Lucian jumped back. ”Got you.”

But the Warden didn’t fall. It lifted both hands—and the world bent.

The sky above shattered like glass, and hundreds of tiny fragments—each glowing with burning runes—rained down toward him.

[New Skill Detected: Starfall Cage – Tier B Spell]

Lucian’s heart pounded.

He launched into the air with a Fold Step—but one of the shards clipped his side.

He twisted mid-air, wincing.

[Damage Taken: Moderate]

[Reinforcement Stability: 64%]

Lucian hit a platform and rolled—then slammed both palms into the stone.

[Spatial Lock – Zone Cast]

A dome of warped reality snapped up around him.

The falling shards struck the dome—flickered—and vanished before impact.

[Starfall Cage Neutralized – 10% mana drain]

Lucian coughed. ”Cael—status?”

[Combat Efficiency: 81%. Recommend limiting Fold Steps. Local space is thinning.]

”Got it.”

The Warden raised its arms again. Its cloak unfurled—revealing dozens of floating symbols spinning in circles around its core.

Each one pulsed with light.

Lucian recognized the flow.

”That’s a summon.”

The sky opened again.

Two figures dropped from above—hunched, jagged shadows wielding twin blades of crystallized starlight.

[Summons Detected: Voidbind Knights – Tier C+]

Lucian charged one before it hit the ground. His blade met the starlight weapon with a clang that shook the air.

The knight didn’t stagger.

Lucian grit his teeth, pushed forward, and triggered [Temporal Slow] on just the knight’s limbs.

It twitched.

He ducked under a slash and sent a Spatial Collapse directly into its chest.

The knight cracked—then burst.

One down.

The second knight rushed him from the side. Lucian spun—

Too slow.

The blade caught his ribs—sent him flying into the wall of a hovering ruin.

Blood ran down his side.

[Warning: Damage 42% – Internal bruising detected]

Lucian wiped his lip.

”Still not enough.”

He forced himself up—vision swimming—then threw his hand out.

[Dimensional Claw – Overdrive]

The claw this time tore through space itself—leaving a hole in the air that dragged the second knight into it. A moment later, it reappeared above him—shredded in half, ejected from the collapsed rift.

Lucian stood, swaying slightly.

Then the real threat came.

The Warden floated forward.

Its mask cracked, revealing a single violet eye beneath. The runes spun faster now. A low hum vibrated the dungeon.

[Final Phase Triggered: Starcore Rebirth]

Lucian blinked.

”Oh, come on—”

The Warden plunged a hand into its own chest—ripped out a star-shaped core—and crushed it.

Everything exploded.

The sky, the ruins, the ground.

Lucian was flung off his platform as golden-purple fire roared around him. Chunks of stone fell like meteors. Spatial rifts opened and closed in random patterns.

Time jittered.

The world was breaking.

He slammed into a broken pillar—coughing up blood. One eye nearly swollen shut.

He whispered through grit teeth, ”Cael... I need something.”

The system pulsed.

[Accessing Skill Core: Dimensional Claw – Mutation Triggered]

[New Skill Unlocked: Dimensional Rift Drive]

Lucian’s aura flared.

His body surged upward—light erupting from his veins as he launched forward with raw speed.

The Warden raised its claw—too late.

Lucian twisted mid-air.

”Die—!”

[Dimensional Rift Drive – Spear Mode]

He launched forward like a bolt through space itself—slamming straight into the Warden’s chest.

The entire mask shattered.

The cloak ripped open.

The Warden screamed.

And then—silence.

Its body unraveled. Faded. Light scattered across the broken sky.

Lucian landed hard.

Dropped to one knee.

Sweat poured down his face. Blood dripped from his arms.

He looked up—panting.

A screen floated into view.

[Trial of Ascension: Floor 3 Cleared – Rank S++]

[Congratulations. Ascension to Rank E Complete.]

[New Title Earned: Riftwalker]

[Core Attributes Unlocked for Custom Path Selection]

Lucian didn’t smile.

Not yet.

He just breathed.

Slow. Heavy. Alive.

Then—he looked up at the sky as the ruins faded around him, light overtaking the world.

He whispered,

”...One floor at a time.”
