Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 1011, This Is Truly Laughable

Kong Lingqi’s Profession Characteristics were also related to flames.

As he continuously applied Buffs to himself, flames spread across his body, enveloping him entirely.

In moments, his whole body radiated blazing flames, releasing terrifying heat waves.

Even the arena platform, which could withstand the full force of Fifth Profession Players, was already being melted by the high temperature emanating from his body, gradually transforming into flowing magma.

This scene made quite a few people gasp.

According to rumours, Kong Lingqi possessed a Fifth Profession Divine Skill called True Flame Body. After activation, his body would transform into the strongest scorching flames in existence, massively boosting his Attributes.

Not only that, the flames covering his body were not just for show. Any Close Combatant who touched Kong Lingqi would suffer Burn Damage. And Skills from Range Players would have their power significantly reduced. For example, arrows would be melted by these flames before even reaching him.

It could be said that True Flame Body was a Divine Skill capable of both offense and defence. Once activated, it basically declared Kong Lingqi was in an Invincible state.

Of course, this Skill was not truly ‘Invincible’.

After activating True Flame Body, the drain on Kong Lingqi’s Endurance was high. Therefore, to defeat Kong Lingqi, one could only engage in a war of attrition after he activated True Flame Body. They could simply wait until his Endurance ran out, and he could no longer maintain it before having a chance to defeat him.

However, having said that, Kong Lingqi was not a fool either.

If his opponent fled, he could simply deactivate True Flame Body and take the opportunity to recover. How could he be foolish enough to keep the Skill active constantly?

That was why Kong Lingqi was called the number one below the Sixth Profession Change. It was because he possessed such an unsolvable Skill.

Against Kong Lingqi, his enemies had only one option: flee. Otherwise, they basically had no chance of winning.

Many had only heard that Kong Lingqi possessed this Skill but had never actually witnessed it. Now, with Kong Lingqi demonstrating his Divine Skill here, quite a few people had their eyes opened wide.

At the same time, everyone was internally commenting that Kong Lingqi was being a bit too much of a bully.

His opponents were just two youths from a Second Tier Ancient Noble Family, yet without even testing them first, he directly activated his signature Ultimate Skill. Wasn’t this bullying?

It seemed these two youths were truly unfortunate. Not only were they challenged by Kong Lingqi, but he was not even holding back, planning to use his full force to finish them off with overwhelming momentum.

If they had to blame someone, they could only blame themselves for causing trouble in the wrong place. Coming to the Situ Family, they managed to find an exploit at such an important occasion, then make such arrogant statements.

Wrapped in flames, Kong Lingqi smiled slightly, then with a tap of his foot, his entire body shot forward like a cannonball toward Lu Fan at the front.

As he charged, the accompanying wind was incredibly violent, causing the light barrier covering the arena to tremble.

Forget being attacked by Kong Lingqi; even being grazed by him would probably be quite painful…

Everyone assumed Lu Fan and Ye Wuxian were finished.

If Kong Lingqi was in a good mood, he might spare their lives. But if Kong Lingqi decided to kill, they would surely die!

As for revenge?

Kong Lingqi’s Kong Family was a Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Family. Would they fear a Second Tier Ancient Noble Family like the Ye Family?

The outcome of this battle should be decided in an instant.

However, accompanied by a tremendous explosion that echoed throughout the entire arena, an unexpected scene unfolded.

Kong Lingqi’s charging body suddenly stopped, maintaining a posture of throwing a punch forward toward Lu Fan.

Yet Lu Fan before him stood completely motionless, merely extending his hand in front of himself, catching Kong Lingqi’s fist.

Kong Lingqi’s punch was not an ordinary punch. As he swung it, countless beast roars filled the air.

Simultaneously, the flames on Kong Lingqi’s body surged forward, all engulfing Lu Fan.

But Lu Fan simply stood there, not even activating any Skills, just catching Kong Lingqi’s fist while absorbing all of the Damage.

There was no helping it. Lu Fan was currently equipped with Xiao Zuo, Xiao You, and the Little Blade Armour Dragon King, giving him absurdly high Attributes.

Forget Kong Lingqi, even if a true Divine Being attacked him, he could easily withstand their strike.

Kong Lingqi’s full-power strike was deflected by Lu Fan with such ease.

The most shocked person was undoubtedly Kong Lingqi himself.

His expression gradually transformed from initial coolness to astonishment to complete disbelief.

Nothing could have prepared him for the day when his Skills would be so easily blocked. Even their Kong Family’s Sixth Profession Ancestor would not be able to do this!

“You… this…” Kong Lingqi was completely dumbfounded. “How is this possible?!”

Lu Fan smiled at him, looked at his fist, then said, “This is all you got? With this level of ability, you managed to score third place. Looks like the people behind you really aren’t much. So weak, yet you dare question our rankings. Don’t you think that’s laughable?”

“You—” Kong Lingqi realized he had kicked an iron plate.

No, he should say he had kicked an entire steel mountain!

He hurriedly tried to retreat and concede defeat, but how could Lu Fan give him that opportunity?

Lu Fan tightened his grip, seizing Kong Lingqi’s fist.

His massive Strength Attribute instantly crushed Kong Lingqi’s hand bones.

As for the Damage from Kong Lingqi’s True Flame Body, to Lu Fan it was neither painful nor bothersome. He felt nothing at all.

Accompanied by Kong Lingqi’s heart-wrenching screams, Lu Fan stepped forward and grabbed Kong Lingqi’s arm.

Immediately, Kong Lingqi was swung around like a plastic bag by Lu Fan, completely powerless to resist.

“And you want to challenge me?” Lu Fan turned his gaze to Zhao Lingfeng, who stood in the distance completely stunned, and hurled Kong Lingqi toward her. “If you are only this strong, to think you dare to provoke me? This is truly laughable!”

*Whoosh—*

Accompanied by fierce wind sounds, Kong Lingqi’s body instantly flew before Zhao Lingfeng.

Zhao Lingfeng cried out in alarm. Trying to dodge now was already too late.

With a tremendous *bang*, the two rolled together, crashing directly into the arena’s light barrier, causing cracks to appear in it, nearly shattering it.
