The People's God: Sacrificing Trillions to Ascend

The area outside the Ancient Dragon Clan’s hidden realm was lush with towering ancient trees and dense vegetation. It felt like stepping into a tropical rainforest.

Han Wu was about to release his pressure to signal his arrival when heavy footsteps echoed from behind him. An enormous Tyrannosaurus Rex charged straight toward him, its body radiating wild, untamed pressure.

As he was about to have Gold Dragon King Smog intercept it, a muscular man leaped off the Tyrannosaurus Rex and landed in front of him.

“Who are you? Why are you here?” the muscular man asked, eyeing Han Wu and the Great Dragons behind him. In his hand was a Microcosm Divine Weapon.

Han Wu’s eyes widened in shock. This muscular man appeared to be a member of the Ancient Dragon Clan. The Ancient Dragon Clan really is wealthy. Even their gatekeepers carry Microcosm Divine Weapons!

Luckily, he wasn’t here to cause trouble but as a guest. He needed to make the right impression.

“I was invited to visit the Ancient Dragon Clan,” Han Wu explained.

The man remained skeptical, though the fact that Han Wu knew about the Ancient Dragon Clan’s presence had him lowering his guard slightly. “Who invited you?”

“Elder Long Qi.”

The man’s eyes went wide, and he nearly dropped his Divine Weapon. “My great-grandfather invited you? Impossible. He barely leaves home. There’s no way he’d invite someone your age.”

Han Wu chuckled bitterly. I guess I hid too much of my strength.

With that in mind, he stopped concealing his aura and released his Mesocosm pressure along with his Defier aura.

The man froze. It took him a few seconds to recover. “Honored guest, please wait here a moment while I go and announce your arrival.”

He vanished instantly. While waiting, Han Wu studied the Tyrannosaurus Rex. It had reached Microcosm rank through raw physical power alone. Unfortunately, it was classified as a dinosaur, only a distant relative of Great Dragons. Its bloodline leaned more toward beast than dragon.

The Microcosm Tyrannosaurus Rex had developed its own intelligence and wasn’t interested in small creatures like Han Wu. Its attention was locked on the Dragon Kings behind him, particularly Gold Dragon King Smog with his massive frame, powerful muscles, and stunning golden scales.

In the Tyrannosaurus Rex’s eyes, Smog was clearly the strongest Great Dragon in Han Wu’s group. Being a natural fighter, it wanted to test itself.

It let out a series of roars. Han Wu understood dragon speech and could roughly decipher the Tyrannosaurus Rex’s garbled dialect. It was challenging Smog to a fight.

The Dragon Kings behind Han Wu bristled with anger. This was a provocation. It was unacceptable for a creature closer to beast than dragon to have the nerve to challenge them!

Smog immediately turned to Han Wu for permission. “Great Defier, let me teach this ignorant mongrel a lesson.”

Han Wu glanced toward the hidden realm. There was still no sign of the clan members. His original intention was to avoid a fight. This was like going to someone’s house and beating their dog. It would be rude to the host.

The Tyrannosaurus Rex took their hesitation for cowardice and launched into a string of roaring insults that were particularly creative and filthy.

Black Dragon King Alpheus, Han Wu’s longest companion among the group, found their patience snapping. “Let me hit it. When it begs for mercy, I’ll even make sure it cries with a rhythm!”

“It challenged me,” Smog protested. “Don’t steal my opponent.”

Young Esquiem chimed in, “Uncles, stop arguing. It looks weak. Let me handle it.”

When did my Great Dragons start fighting over who got to throw punches? Han Wu rubbed his forehead.

The Tyrannosaurus Rex had no idea what it was about to face and kept up its stream of insults in broken dragon speech.

Han Wu had finally heard enough. While it was undoubtedly best to look at the owner before hitting a dog[1], patience also bred ovarian cysts, and retreating caused breasts to get inflamed[2].

Han Wu didn’t have ovaries or functioning mammary glands, but he wasn’t going to tolerate the insults any further. Even when he was weak, he hadn’t held back, and he wasn’t about to start now.

Drawing Peerless, he prepared to deal with the Tyrannosaurus Rex himself. His Great Dragons rushed to stop him, crying that it wasn’t worth his time. A measly Tyrannosaurus Rex was unworthy of both Han Wu’s blade and the Dragon Kings.

In the end, the weakest dragon in the group, the Wicked Dragon Veritas, got shoved forward.

Am I just a bin for your rejects?

It opened its maw to protest, but Alpheus’s claw pressed down on its head. “Veritas. Either you hit it, or I hit you.”

Veritas immediately straightened up. I’m absolutely just a bin!

It scrambled out from under Alpheus’s claw and charged at the Tyrannosaurus Rex. The Tyrannosaurus Rex sneered at Veritas’s pudgy frame. All that flab clearly belonged to something that never fought. Veritas wasn’t even worth its time.

If Veritas could read the Tyrannosaurus Rex’s thoughts, it would’ve fired back. It’s not that I don’t fight. It’s that I never get the chance!

Moreover, Veritas’s pudgy frame was its pride. That flab came from eating well every day. It was a sign of the good life. Ignoring the Tyrannosaurus Rex’s mockery, Veritas unleashed its signature move.

“Seal Arts! Wicked Dragon Stomp!” This attack sealed the target’s leg mobility. Even though they were both Microcosm fighters, the Tyrannosaurus Rex immediately face-planted into the dirt.

Veritas seized the opening. It flew up high and dropped its full weight onto the Tyrannosaurus Rex’s face, landing rear-end first.

Han Wu’s mouth twitched. That was hard to look at. As far as he knew, Great Dragons didn’t wipe.

A single butt slam dealt both physical damage and mental damage. The Tyrannosaurus Rex was in for a rough time. It only got worse from there. Veritas followed up by systematically sealing all of the Tyrannosaurus Rex’s movements, then bound it head to tail with ropes of Wicked Energy.

Veritas was going to show the Tyrannosaurus Rex the true meaning of bondage.
