Chapter 414: Everyone entered the auction room

Ethan’s projection remained in the sky, his eyes sweeping over the massive crowd with a calm, business-like indifference. The cold, sharp features of his Arch-Demon form made him look like a king looking down upon his subjects.

”The prices I mentioned were for the normal seats in the main hall,” Ethan’s voice echoed, ”However, for those who value their status and privacy, I have prepared VIP rooms. If you wish to look down upon the auction in comfort, the prices are as follows:”

[Grade 1 VIP Room: 1 million Origin Coins]

[Grade 2 VIP Room: 2 million Origin Coins]

[Grade 3 VIP Room: 5 million Origin Coins, Includes private service from our special maids.]

Ethan showed no mercy. He knew that his products, the bloodline serums and the high-grade artifacts, were things these people would crawl through fire to obtain.

If they wanted luxury, they would have to bleed their treasuries dry before the first item even hit the stage.

”You may begin paying now,” Ethan announced.

In front of every guest, a floating blue display appeared. It was a high-tech payment interface. The guests simply had to select their desired tier and place their spatial rings or cards against the screen.

”He is charging too much! What a greedy bastard!” many whispered, their faces twitching with pain as they looked at the numbers.

However, despite their cursing, not a single Eternal Sovereign chose the main hall. To do so would be to admit they were ”poor” in front of their rivals.

Every single one of the 79 Eternal Sovereigns, including Lady Melida and the Fire Dragon elders, gritted their teeth and chose the Grade 3 VIP rooms. They couldn’t afford to lose face, even if it cost them five million coins just to sit down.

An hour later, the massive obsidian doors of the estate groaned open.

As the gates parted, a tremendous, thick medicinal scent gushed out like a tidal wave. The air wasn’t just cold anymore; it was fragrant and heavy with spiritual energy.

Ethan had used his powers to plant supreme-grade fruit trees and ancient herbs along the pathways. These weren’t ordinary plants; each one was a treasure that could help an Origin Paragon break through their bottlenecks.

The guests, especially the alchemists and elders, felt their mouths go dry. Their eyes bulged as they saw rows of ”Nine-Leaf Phoenix Grass” and ”Dragon-Blood Ginseng” just sitting there in the open air like common weeds.

Some of the greedier cultivators, unable to control themselves, lunged toward the gardens.

But before their fingers could touch a single leaf, a heavy, suffocating aura slammed into them, pinning them face-first into the dirt.

”These are only for show,” the Origin Paragon General at the gate said, his voice cold and mechanical. ”Any attempt to harvest them will result in a permanent ban from the Ethan Hunt Company. If you persist, your life will be forfeited.”

The Eternal Sovereigns watched this with narrowed eyes.

They were beginning to realize that this wasn’t just a merchant’s shop. It was a fortress.

The number of Axiom Dominion guards they saw walking the perimeter was staggering. They had never seen so many high-level warriors in one place, serving a single man.

”This Ethan Hunt... he must have a terrifying background,” Melida whispered to herself. ”Perhaps he is from the Origin Demon Race’s core bloodline.”

As they moved deeper into the estate, their shock only grew.

The one thousand maids Ethan had created were now standing at every entrance and intersection. The young noblemen felt their hearts skip a beat.

These maids were so beautiful and elegant that the ”Ice Princesses” of the Dragon World suddenly seemed plain in comparison.

Each guest was greeted with a warm smile and a glass of juice made from divine fruits that would normally cost a fortune.

The hospitality was so luxurious that even the most cynical elders began to feel that the five million coins they paid for the VIP room might actually be worth it.

However, the real shock came when they reached the entrance of the tower.

Standing in a quiet corner was a man clad in full-body white armor, leaning against a pillar with a sword in his hand. He looked like a valiant knight out of a legend.

The aura leaking from him was silent but terrifying. He was the Eternal Sovereign supreme commander.

When the Eternal Sovereigns walked past him, their hair stood on end. They felt like they were walking past a sleeping volcano that could erase them if it woke up.

”He’s not just a demon,” a Fire Dragon elder whispered, his voice shaking. ”He’s backed by a monster.”

The auction was being held on the 10th floor.

When the guests arrived, they found Ethan himself standing at the main doors of the grand hall. He was no longer a projection; he was there in the flesh, his Arch-Demon form radiating a cold, handsome charm.

He welcomed the VIPs with a polite, professional nod.

”Mr. Hunt, you are a peerless person. It is an honor to meet you!” many of the Eternal Sovereigns said, their voices full of flattery now that they suspected his high status.

Ethan gave them only the most necessary smiles, his eyes bored, until he saw Rose.

The moment Rose stepped off the elevator, Ethan’s entire demeanor changed. The coldness in his eyes vanished, replaced by a warmth that was so genuine it surprised everyone nearby.

”It is my honor to meet you, Lady Rose,” Ethan said, stepping toward her and ignoring everyone else. ”You look even more beautiful up close. Would you like to have a private drink with me before we begin?”

Rose paused, her icy eyes meeting his piercing red ones.

She felt that strange tug in her chest again. A feeling of safety and familiarity that made no sense.

But before she could speak, Trian stepped between them, his face red with jealousy.

”She is my fiancée, punk! Stay away from her!” Trian roared. ”I don’t give a damn if you are from the Origin Demon Race or not. You are in the Dragon World now. This is my turf. Don’t make me kill you.”

Ethan didn’t even look at Trian. It was as if a fly was buzzing in the air. His eyes remained fixed on Rose.

”If a drink is too much, then please... accept this,” Ethan said, reaching out.

A beautiful, glowing violet card appeared in his hand.

”This is a Black Diamond Card. With this, you will get a 50% discount on anything you buy today. I insist.”

Zara, standing behind Rose, looked at Ethan and then at the fuming Trian.

To her, Ethan was better in every way, richer, stronger, and much more handsome.

Rose was about to decline, her pride as a Saint not allowing her to take such a gift.

But Zara was faster.

She snatched the card out of the air.

”Thank you, Sir! I’ll be sure to tell my sister how nice you are!” Zara chirped, grinning widely.

Ethan chuckled, his eyes crinkling in a way that made Rose’s heart skip a beat.

”Lady Zara is very considerate,” Ethan said.

Then, he flicked his wrist again, and a Golden Card appeared.

”Since you are so kind, take this one for yourself. It is a 90% discount card. It is linked to your soul alone. No one else can use it, not even your sister.”

He gave Zara a playful wink.

After all, she was his sister-in-law. He planned to spoil her until she forgot all the pain and sufferings she went through.

Zara felt a strange sense of comfort from Ethan. She felt safer standing near him than she did near her own Master.

She happily tucked the cards into her robe.

”Zara! Mind your manners! Give them back!” Rose scolded, her face turning a light shade of pink from embarrassment.

Zara looked terrified and reached for the cards, but Ethan gently put a hand out.

”Please, keep them,” Ethan said softly. ”Think of it as a token of my friendship with you, Lady Zara. Your ’Ice Princess’ sister has nothing to do with it.”

Trian was now bubbling with a murderous rage.

This was the second time today he had been completely ignored. First by the woman he wanted, and now by a man he considered a ”merchant dog.”

He opened his mouth to roar a command to his protectors.

But Ethan finally turned his gaze toward him.

The warmth vanished instantly, replaced by a red, demonic glare that felt like a physical weight on Trian’s throat.

”If you dare to make any more unnecessary noise,” Ethan whispered, his voice vibrating with power, ”I will ban you from my company forever. And trust me, you won’t like what happens when I decide you are no longer a customer.”

Trian’s protector, the Fire Dragon elder, immediately grabbed Trian’s shoulder and pulled him back.

”Your Highness... let it go. For now.”

Trian hissed through his teeth but stayed silent.

Soon, the guests began moving into their respective VIP rooms.

As Rose walked toward her room, she glanced back at Ethan one last time.

”Who is this demon?” she wondered, her mind a mess of confusion.

”And why... why am I not repulsed by his presence?”

Inside the booth, Ethan watched the door close behind her.
