My attributes are increasing infinitely

Chapter 375: Nexus Events

Ethan sat cross-legged in the void, his posture relaxed, his breathing slow and even.

A Nexus Event.

That was what this place demanded of him.

Ethan rested his chin on his knuckles and pondered calmly. He did not rush his thoughts. For someone at his level, impatience was unnecessary. The first idea surfaced almost instantly, as if it had been waiting in the depths of his mind.

His Sword of Infinity.

A faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

The sword had been forged by his former self long ago, back when power still felt scarce, back when amplification mattered. It had been created by directly connecting to his source, an act that only someone like him could perform without annihilating themselves.

Its ability was simple yet terrifying. It amplified power by up to one million times. No conditions. No restrictions. No matter how weak or strong the base power was, the multiplier remained absolute.

In any normal world, such an artifact would have been considered divine.

Unfortunately, Ethan was no longer normal.

At his current level of existence, a mere one million times amplification was laughable. The sword had not grown weaker. Ethan had simply surpassed it so thoroughly that it had lost all practical meaning.

That was why he had never bothered upgrading it.

He never needed it.

He did not rely on weapons, artifacts, or external tools. His body, soul, and origin were enough to crush worlds. Carrying the sword had become more a habit than a necessity.

But now things were different.

This Eternal Domain was not a battlefield. It was a crucible. A place that demanded creation, evolution, and decisive change. It wanted something extraordinary.

Ethan opened his eyes fully, light flickering briefly within them.

”If the world wants something best,” he muttered softly, ”then I might as well kill two birds with one stone.”

He could trigger a Nexus Event.

And he could finally turn his Sword of Infinity into something worthy of its name.

Ethan extended his hand.

The Sword of Infinity appeared before him without sound, hovering silently in the void. Its blade was long and flawless, forged from a material that seemed both physical and conceptual. The surface shimmered with layered runes and faint, endless light, as if infinity itself had been compressed into steel.

Even now, it radiated dominance.

Even now, it was a king among weapons.

Ethan reached out and wrapped his fingers around the hilt.

”Buddy,” he said with a faint chuckle, ”let’s upgrade you.”

He released the sword, letting it float before him, and closed his eyes once more. His consciousness expanded inward, diving into the depths of his origin sea.

He began to plan.

The first change was simple but absolute.

He wanted the sword to grant its wielder power one realm above their own.

Not theoretical realm. Not cultivation rank.

But the realm would be decided by combat prowess.

A martial warrior with a combat prowess of a martial master wielding the sword would possess the combat power of a martial grand master.

A progenitor would gain power comparable to a primordial.

And a primordial would step into the next unknown level entirely.

This distinction mattered.

Ethan himself always possessed combat strength that far surpassed his actual realm. If the sword calculated based on real cultivation, it would fail to serve its purpose in his hands.

Combat strength was the only measure that mattered.

Next, the sword needed autonomy.

It required a spirit.

Not a simple artifact consciousness, but a true spirit capable of thought, growth, and cultivation. One that could understand battle, strategy, and intent. One that could evolve alongside its wielder.

Finally, there was the most important condition of all.

The sword would not be bound by the laws of any reality.

No world laws.

No heavenly restrictions.

No external authority.

It would function solely through the laws contained within Ethan’s body. His origin would be its origin. His logic would be its logic.

Only then could it accompany him anywhere, even beyond creation itself.

After finalizing the evolution path, Ethan opened his eyes.

”Let’s use creation,” he said calmly.

Creation was one of his most terrifying abilities.

It consumed only origin essence and allowed him to create anything he could fully conceptualize. There were no limits except contradiction. As long as something could exist without violating absolute logic, he could bring it into being.

Ethan gave a simple command.

”Evolve.”

Nothing happened.

The Sword of Infinity remained motionless.

Ethan frowned slightly.

This should not have failed.

For a moment, confusion surfaced in his mind. Then realization struck him like a quiet thunderclap.

The sword was designed to use his infinite origin to function.

It would possess a spirit.

That spirit would cultivate.

And that spirit would also draw upon his infinite origin energy.

Ethan’s eyes narrowed.

Was he... creating another himself?

A being with infinite origin, independent will, and cultivation capability was fundamentally identical to him. That was a contradiction of the highest order.

”I see,” Ethan murmured.

He leaned back slightly, fingers tapping against his knee.

”I need a constraint.”

He considered several options. Restricting growth potential would cripple the sword. Limiting intelligence would make the spirit useless. Binding it to reality would defeat the entire purpose.

Then he smiled.

”What if it doesn’t produce a being like me,” he said softly, ”but instead shares me?”

The answer was elegant.

He would use his own soul.

The sword spirit would be formed from a portion of Ethan’s soul. It would have its own personality, its own awareness, but it would never be separate from him.

It could never betray him.

It could never oppose him.

Because at its core, it was him.

Ethan redesigned the evolution path instantly, rewriting the conceptual framework with flawless precision.

”Evolve.”

This time Ethan’s origin sea surged violently.

The Sword of Infinity trembled, then dissolved into pure light and was pulled directly into his body. At the same time, a sharp, indescribable pain flared within his soul.

A portion of it was cut away.

It was separated cleanly, deliberately, and merged with the sword.

Light exploded outward from his body, wrapping the forming weapon in a radiant cocoon. Within the origin sea, the sword floated silently, absorbing, reshaping, evolving.

Ethan exhaled slowly.

But he was not finished.

Creation demanded ambition.

And Ethan had no shortage of it.

”If I’m already here,” he said thoughtfully, ”I might as well go all the way.”

He turned his attention to his bloodline.

Ethan had never needed one before. Bloodlines were shortcuts, inheritances of ancient power passed down through generations. He had always stood above such things.

But now he understood their true value.

A bloodline was more than power.

It was memory.

Secrets.

Potential.

Paths others had already walked.

And Ethan knew exactly what kind of bloodline he wanted.

One that stood above all others.

A bloodline that could contain every other bloodline.

Absorb their abilities.

Claim their secrets.

Yet remain untouched, uninfluenced, and uncontaminated.

His eyes lit up.

”I had a talent,” he recalled slowly. ”Extraction.”

That talent had come from a low-tier world spirit, the Aetherion Spirit. It allowed him to extract abilities and traits from defeated beings.

He had never used it.

At his level, it was meaningless.

And talents could not evolve.

But bloodlines could.

”If I merge Extraction into a bloodline,” Ethan said quietly, ”and restrict its usage solely to absorbing and merging bloodlines...”

The contradiction vanished.

The bloodline would evolve as he evolved.

The talent would scale infinitely.

A slow grin spread across his face.

”My dear anomalies,” he said lightly, ”your grandpa Ethan is going to come after you all.”

”I’m going to need all your powers.”

A strange, creepy smile crept onto his face before he coughed and straightened.

”Purely for the greater good,” he added quickly. ”Of course.”

He finalized the design.

Simple.

Absolute.

Perfect.

He named it without hesitation.

”Omni Bloodline.”

A plain name.

Yet it contained everything.

”Create.”

The moment the command left his lips, his body convulsed violently.

Agony unlike anything he had felt before erupted from within. His blood ignited. His bones screamed. His soul felt as though it was being rewritten line by line.

”Ah!”

Ethan clenched his teeth.

It felt like he was being burned alive from the inside out.

His body glowed, then cracked, then reformed repeatedly as the bloodline was forged at the deepest level of his existence.

Two hours passed.

Two hours of relentless torment.

Then, suddenly, it stopped.

Ethan collapsed forward, breathing heavily.

His body radiated a soft, transcendent light.

He looked... pure.

As if he existed outside the scope of reality itself.

Something immeasurable now resided within him.

Boom.

The Eternal Domain shook.

A grand, echoing voice rang out across the domain.

[WORLD ANNOUNCEMENT]

[A Nexus Event has been triggered.]

[Aspirant: Ethan Hunt has obtained the ultimate bloodline across all creation.]

[Authority Granted: 1 percent of the Throne of Destiny.]

Reality trembled.

Behind Ethan, a vast throne began to form, composed of countless laws and destinies intertwined. Though only a fragment had manifested, its pressure alone was enough to make worlds bow.

Ethan received one percent authority instantly.

The previous nexus event holder had gained only 0.1 percent.

The disparity was overwhelming.

The sky across countless worlds projected his silhouette.

But no one saw his face.

”Not bad,” Ethan said with a small smile.

Then the Sword of Infinity completed its evolution too.

Another announcement thundered forth.

[WORLD ANNOUNCEMENT]

[A Nexus Event has been triggered.]

[Aspirant: Ethan Hunt has created the highest-grade weapon in all recorded history.]

[Authority Granted: 0.5 percent of the Throne of Destiny.]

Ethan nodded calmly.

”So the bloodline ranks higher,” he mused.

Elsewhere, across innumerable worlds, the anomalies and protagonists stirred.

Who was this person?

What kind of monster triggered multiple Nexus Events in succession?

And far away, an extraordinarily handsome young man opened his eyes.

As he breathed, the world seemed adjusted itself to his rhythm.

”So,” he murmured softly, ”the fun has begun.”

He smiled.

”I hope you guys can entertain me,” he said, ”even for a little while.”
