Chapter 37: Shopping with Rose

Ethan then left the hotel with his supercar.

The car enthusiasts watched the vehicle disappear with envy and fanaticism. But the owner was none other than Ethan Hunt—the most popular young man in the city. Though they didn’t know exactly who Ethan was, they knew one thing: he had the power and authority to move the entire Martial Alliance in the city if needed.

Ethan parked his car near Rose’s apartment building. This super-luxurious car immediately caught the attention of everyone in the district. But no one dared come near it—they feared a single scratch could cost them their lives.

Ethan messaged Rose.

Three minutes later, Rose appeared.

---

She wore an elegant off-shoulder navy-blue velvet dress that hugged her figure gracefully. The fabric shimmered subtly under the sunlight. Her hair was tied up in a soft bun, with a few strands falling around her ears. Silver heels and delicate pearl earrings completed the look, making her appear noble and stunning—like a goddess descending to earth.

---

Ethan stepped out of the car. But when he looked at Rose—

He was mesmerized by her ethereal beauty. His mind drifted into silence; no one knew what he was thinking.

But what Ethan didn’t know was that Rose was facing an even more intense reaction than him. The last time she saw him, he was still at the Master level. Now, he had broken through to Grandmaster and undergone a second baptism. There was a vast difference in him—before and after.

Rose’s heart pounded like a drum. It felt as though it might leap from her chest.

”This damn man is more beautiful than me. Unforgivable,” Rose snorted inwardly. ”I must learn his secret for this kind of beauty.”

Ethan suddenly felt a chill on his back. ”Which son of a b** is cursing me from behind?”**

He smiled, stepped forward, and said, ”Hello, my lady. Shall we go?”

Rose smiled back as Ethan opened the car door for her. She stepped inside gracefully. Then Ethan followed.

”Where do you want to go?” Ethan asked.

Rose replied, ”I don’t have any particular choice. Do you have one?”

Ethan thought for a moment.

”Let’s go shopping first.”

Rose’s eyes immediately lit up. Which girl didn’t like shopping? Rose was no different. She had just buried that passion deep inside—for her mother and sister. But with Ethan entering her life, those suppressed desires began to rise again. She wanted to be spoiled.

Ethan smiled and sped off with a boom.

They arrived at the biggest shopping center in the city. It was run by a branch of the Paragon Group—an international enterprise owned by the top families of the world.

Ethan parked his car. A parking boy nearby stood with reverence in his eyes. This was the Celestial Nova Special Edition. The owner had to be extremely influential.

The boy opened the door. Ethan stepped out with elegance, radiating a noble aura.

Ethan then walked to Rose’s side and opened the door for her.

Rose stepped out.

Ethan threw the key to the parking boy. ”Park it.”

The boy was still awed by the aura of the couple. They were the epitome of perfection—a celestial pair made for each other.

He snapped out of it and quickly got into the driver’s seat. He had never driven such a car before. He was thrilled.

Ethan and Rose entered the shopping center.

”So, Rose. What do you want to buy? You can have anything in this place. And when I say ’anything,’ I mean it—including me.”

His mouth was close to Rose’s ear. Her ears turned red like tomatoes. Steam almost came out of her head. She quickly walked ahead, leaving Ethan behind.

If she stayed a moment longer, she might have died.

Ethan laughed and followed.

”Hahaha, sorry, don’t be angry. I was just joking. But the part about ’you can buy anything’—that was serious.”

Rose’s heart was still in turmoil.

She entered a random shop to escape the butterflies in her stomach.

Ethan followed her in.

A woman approached them. ”Hello ma’am, hello sir. Welcome to our shop. What would you like to buy?”

It was a luxurious women’s clothing store—spacious, elegant.

Ethan looked around and asked, ”Do you sell the most beautiful and expensive clothes in this shopping center? If not, we’ll leave. And don’t try to deceive me with nonsense. That’ll cost you heavily. Just answer yes or no.”

He didn’t want to intimidate the salesgirl, but he also knew how shops often boasted about being the best just to beat competitors. Ethan wanted only the finest for Rose. So his tone was sharp.

The girl was frightened. This man radiated a dangerous aura. And with his heavenly looks, he was definitely no ordinary person.

Her throat went dry, but she still gathered her courage and replied, ”Yes.”

Ethan smiled. The dangerous aura vanished. Now, he looked like a completely harmless man.

Rose rolled her eyes. Who talks to a lady like that?

But deep down... she felt happy.

Cough cough, not happy at all. Definitely not happy.

Ethan said, ”You see this lady here? Doesn’t she look like the Queen of Angels? Do you have something worthy of her?”

Rose, whose heart had just calmed, immediately felt it pounding again.

”This bastard really wants to kill me! I need to be more prepared for this kind of sneak attack.”

The salesgirl was jealous. This man was a perfect package—divine looks, powerful aura, and obviously rich.

Still, she smiled professionally. ”Of course, sir. She truly does look like the Queen of Angels. I have just the thing for her—a limited-edition special order dress. Please follow me.”

Rose and Ethan followed her.

She led them to a special section of the shop reserved for the most expensive and exclusive dresses.

At the center stood a mannequin, dressed in an exquisite gown.

---

The dress was a floor-length, flowing creation made of rare black pearl silk and sea spider lace—materials harvested only from the depths of the Mediterranean and Arctic coastal regions. The fabric shimmered in shifting hues of moonlight silver and midnight blue, catching the light like starlight on water.

It had an open-back design, delicate off-shoulder lace sleeves, and intricate gemstone embroidery along the waistline using natural sapphires and tiny diamond fragments. Despite its luxurious design, the dress looked weightless—as if it had been spun from mist. It was timeless, elegant, and undeniably royal.

---

Rose’s eyes were glued to the dress the moment she saw it.

It had an ethereal beauty that called to her soul.

Her inner self was screaming: ”I need this dress.”

But on the outside, she stayed composed. They weren’t officially dating yet. She couldn’t just ask for something so extravagant.

Ethan looked at Rose,”Do you like this dress?”

But Rose’s eyes were still glued to the dress, she didn’t even hear him calling.

Ethan smiled lovingly. This silly girl.

Ethan said, ”Nice. I want this dress. Pack it up. And show us more like this.”

The salesgirl was stunned. She had brought them here just to test the waters. Usually, once people heard the price, they’d back off and speak politely.

But this man didn’t play by the rules.

What did he mean, ”Pack it up” without even hearing the price?

She asked gently, ”Sir, won’t you ask the price?”

Ethan replied, ”Doesn’t matter. Just do it.”

He currently had 35 trillion in his account, and last night’s monster hunt payment hadn’t even arrived yet.

The girl was filled with envy. If only she had a boyfriend like this man...

Her own boyfriend was good, but not even worthy to polish this man’s shoes.

But just as she was about to wrap the dress, a voice cut in.

”Wait. That dress is already sold. You can’t sell it again.”

The salesgirl’s expression turned cold.

”Rebecca, what nonsense are you talking about? How is this dress already sold? Why haven’t I heard anything?”

Rebecca, another salesgirl, showed no anger.

”My sweet Lina, this dress has caught the attention of Young Master David Ashford. So, of course, he will buy it.”

Lina’s face lost all color. Ashford was no ordinary family. They were part of the ruling class of the world, based in the Super City—and a major shareholder of the Paragon Group.

But why would an Ashford be here?

She couldn’t make sense of it.

She looked at Ethan and Rose with pain in her eyes. Ethan was famous in the city, but not everyone recognized him. Besides, he looked even more divine now.

Rebecca glanced at them too. The moment she saw them, her eyes burned with jealousy.

Why is this girl so beautiful? Why is this man even more handsome than Young Master David?

She hid her venomous look well—but Ethan noticed the change without even trying.

Ethan was actually enjoying the show.

”Is it time to crush a young master’s pride? Then the father will come. Then the grandfather. And finally the great-grandfather?”

David Ashford, huh? He’s definitely not a small fry.

Ethan’s blood was boiling with excitement. He wanted to experience for himself the kind of chain reaction that protagonists in those novels always triggered.

He had read many stories where the MC slapped some pervert in the street—and suddenly the emperor of the nation became his enemy because that guy turned out to be some young master’s cousin.

But Ethan was different.

He had the strongest family backing. And he was so strong that he could fight a Level 7 King—if the King didn’t use techniques.

Ethan stepped forward.

”Do you think I’m someone you can ignore, girl?”

A slight portion of his aura leaked out.

Rebecca felt as if a cosmic entity was staring into her soul.

Her face turned pale. Sweat dripped from her forehead.

She screamed, ”Young master! Save me!”
