Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

”Just entered the Asura Battlefield, why not join our Legion? Our boss is a Three-star Shura, very strong.” Steel Spike said enthusiastically.

Lin Mo nodded his head.

He didn’t have any other plans right now. He wanted to find Meng Yu, but the entire Asura Battlefield was vast and boundless. Without the Commander’s Seal for contact, trying to find Meng Yu was like looking for a needle in a haystack. Besides, he didn’t have any understanding of the Asura Battlefield.

”Three-star Shura?”

Lin Mo showed a slightly puzzled expression. Steel Spike led him onto a grassland on the Mainland, gesturing for him to sit down, then explained: ”In the Asura Battlefield, the strength of a Realm General is evaluated by the Shura Order. I’ve been in the Asura Battlefield for three years now, and I’m still just a One-star

Shura.”

Lin Mo nodded. He also had a Shura Order and knew that as long as he killed others and obtained their Shura Order, absorbing the energy within it, he could change his own Shura Order.

Steel Spike had been in the Asura Battlefield for three years and was still just a One-star Shura. It seemed that upgrading a Shura Order was not a simple matter. ”Want a drink?” Steel Spike looked at Lin Mo, took two leather wine bags from his Space Ring, and tossed one to Lin Mo. ”I just joined this Legion and don’t have many familiar friends. I saw you’re new too, so I wanted to get to know you

.”

Lin Mo caught the wine bag, pulled out the cork, and took a swig directly. The liquor burned down his throat, heating up his whole body and dispelling the chill caused by the Evil Qi in the atmosphere.

Steel Spike smiled, apparently pleased with Lin Mo’s straightforwardness. He took a big gulp from his wine bag and said, ”The Legion I was with before was completely wiped out. All five thousand members died in battle!”

Lin Mo was slightly stunned.

Steel Spike laughed at him and said, ”This is quite normal. We encountered a Demon Army of over thirty thousand. We fought to the death for half a month. My comrades and friends all died in battle. I was just lucky enough and had good escape skills to survive.”

Lin Mo drank silently, listening quietly.

Indeed, encountering a Legion with thousands of Realm Generals was enough to make even him perish, and even a Realm Emperor faced with thousands strong could meet death. This was the cruelty of the Asura Battlefield; no matter how strong one was individually, encountering a powerful team could mean annihilation. Hence, countless teams of varying sizes operated inside the Asura Battlefield, and few dared to act alone,

in solitary combat.

Lin Mo and Steel Spike chatted casually, learning some details about the Legion.

Though termed a Legion, it was actually more of a loose assembly of familiar people forming small teams with friends, gathering together in a collective without strict rules. Lin Mo, as a newbie joining, wasn’t particularly interesting to others. Such things happened every day; some joined other small groups, while others looked for new teams after theirs were wiped out and the surviving cultivators sought a new group.

”Our group only has a thousand people, what if we encounter a bigger Legion? Won’t they just swallow us up?” Lin Mo frowned and asked. ”Yes, encountering a Legion over five thousand strong, they’d completely surround us, making escape hard,” Steel Spike nodded and said, ”But the Asura Battlefield is vast. Larger Legions usually advance towards the interior. We’re on the outskirts of the Asura Star Domain

now, so we don’t often run into larger groups. Those larger team leaders are usually Nine Star Shura.”

Lin Mo looked down at the Shura Order he was toying with in his hand and asked, ”What benefits does reaching Nine Star really bring? Would the Shura Tower really give us just a token to play with?” ”Of course, there are benefits. Nine Star Shura qualify to enter the Asura Tower to obtain benefits there,” Steel Spike murmured, ”There’s a legend that spreads in the Asura Battlefield, that within the eighty-one Shura Towers lies inheritance. Whoever

obtains the inheritance can become an Asura.”

”An Asura?” Lin Mo’s eyes lit up. He sensed that the Asura Battlefield might conceal a significant secret; otherwise, the Saints wouldn’t expended a huge effort to use the Shura Towers to construct a battlefield totally isolated from the outside. Moreover, the Shura Orders held by them had close relations with the Shura Tower.” ”I don’t really know what exactly an Asura is, but I’ve heard the eighty-one Shura Towers predate several Eras, endured through limitless years. In all of history, only fifty-two of the Shura Towers’ inheritances have been obtained. Many strong individuals entering the Asura

Battlefield are actually after the inheritances inside the Shura Towers,” Steel Spike whispered, ”Rumor has it that those who become Asura possess the strength to kill beyond their Realm.”

Killing beyond one’s Realm?

A Realm General killing a Realm Marquis would be considered killing beyond one’s Realm.

Lin Mo took note of this secretly.

”By the way, why did you come to the Asura Battlefield?” Lin Mo did not dig further into what the Asura Inheritance entailed since getting clarity would require his Shura Order to reach Nine Stars. ”Me? I had hit a bottleneck in cultivation, my Life Span was nearing its end, so I thought of risking it in the Asura Battlefield. I didn’t expect that after several fierce battles, acquiring some treasures actually led me to break through, breaking into Advanced Realm General cultivation. Now

I’d like to leave, but I’m still short of enough Honor Points needed. Enough Honor Points are needed to leave,” Steel Spike said with a self-deprecating laugh, ”But the Asura Battlefield is too cruel; I don’t know if I can leave alive.”
