Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

”What’s the matter? Can’t you see I’m having fun with a beauty?” Yin Shang frowned and said coldly.

The guard knelt on one knee and said in a low voice, ”Lord Yin Shang, it’s about Lin Tanyu. He escaped from Hive Star and just injured four of our City Guards in an inn in East City.”

”Lin Tanyu?” Yin Shang’s eyes widened, and the cup in his hand shattered with a crunch.

”Well, I’ve waited for him for three whole years, and this turtle finally decided to come out.” Yin Shang’s lips curled into an extremely sinister arc, but at the same time, a chill ran through his heart.

He had already arranged for two Star Domain Commanders to lie in wait around Hive Star, ready to kill Lin Tanyu and seize the Treasure the moment he emerged. But Lin Tanyu managed to return safely to the Tiancheng Continent; something’s certainly fishy!

”Young master, I want you to feed me wine, won’t you?” The woman leaning in Yin Shang’s arms said coquettishly, her eyes brimming with charm.

”Get lost.” Yin Shang frowned, waved his hand, and flung the woman in his arms harshly to the ground, showing not a trace of tenderness. He called to his trusted aide, ”Come, let’s go out and have a look. I really want to see what kind of trick Lin Tanyu is up to.”

The woman thrown to the ground scraped the skin off her white, tender arm, now bleeding, looked at Yin Shang with a strange expression, then got up and quickly walked toward another courtyard.

...

In the hall of the City Lord Mansion, four City Guards knelt on the ground, their hearts tightening at the sound of footsteps behind them.

Yin Shang, with his trusted aide, went straight to the head seat in the hall, sat down, squinted slightly, and looked at the four City Guards kneeling inside the hall. The four of them still bore some scars, but having taken elixirs, their external wounds had already healed.

”Tell me, what happened,” Yin Shang asked indifferently.

”Lord Yin Shang, the situation is like this...” One of the kneeling City Guards slowly recounted.

”He said... in three days, three days...” The City Guard hesitated, seemingly afraid to speak the words.

Yin Shang’s eyes glowed with a chilling gleam, and he said coldly, ”What did he say? Tell me honestly. I won’t blame you.”

”Yes, Lord Yin Shang.” The City Guard said, ”He said to give Lord Yin Shang three days, three days to prepare final arrangements, and then he would personally come to claim Lord Yin Shang’s head.”

”Who gave him the audacity to speak such insolent words?” the nearby trusted aide shouted angrily.

The four City Guards lying on the ground shivered, prostrating even further, ”My lord, those treacherous words were all Lin Tanyu’s doing, all his words, nothing to do with us.” ”In three days, to take my life?” Yin Shang squinted his eyes, a malicious light flickering in his slits, then clenched his hand, crushing the stone armrests into powder, which trickled into fine sand, ”This Lin Tanyu is truly

arrogant; in that case, I’ll wait for him to come to his death.”

”Lord Yin Shang, shall I send someone to capture him?” the nearby trusted aide inquired with his head down.

”No need. If you send someone to capture him now, would it be so easy to find him? Besides, since he’s bold enough to say such things, he must have some confidence. Do you think you useless lot can catch him?” Yin Shang snorted coldly.

”Yes, my lord.” The trusted aide hurriedly bowed his head and stepped back two paces.

Yin Shang raised his head and looked at the four people kneeling in the hall, ”You all go out. This matter isn’t related to you. Go home and recover.”

”Thank you, Lord Yin Shang.”

”Thank you, my lord.”

The four of them breathed a sigh of relief, quickly stood up, bowed, and retreated, then turned to leave the hall. Just then, Yin Shang suddenly extended his hand, from his palm floated four strands of True Yuan, silent but as fast as lightning, flying swiftly and piercing through the chests of the four City Guards from behind. Their eyes widened, their necks stiff, unable to

turn their heads before their vitality swiftly dissipated.

”My, my lord...”

”So ruthless!”

Yin Shang snorted coldly, ”Four useless trash, what’s the use of keeping them? Clean this up.”

”Yes, my lord.” The nearby trusted aide, slightly pale, hurriedly responded in agreement. Then, Yin Shang directly walked through the passage at the back of the hall towards his room, slammed the door, and his expression slightly changed; he clenched his fist tightly, ”Damn, Lin Tanyu, I left behind two Star Domain Commanders and five thousand Star System Level Warriors, but

still allowed him to escape?”

”Three days later, to take my head? What gives him the confidence? What assurance does he have?”

”Could he have acquired some secret technique from the legacy inside Hive Star?”

”Is he trying to scare me?”

”No, if he wasn’t confident, he would’ve run far away long ago; would he dare come to Tiancheng Continent to find me?”

Yin Shang’s eyes turned red, he hated this feeling intensely, ”Lin Tanyu, Lin Tanyu, I will kill you!”

”No, he’s definitely not just saying it, he must have some assurance, assurance to kill me.” Yin Shang’s eyes reddened, ”He’s only at the Star System Level Early Stage, what trump card does he have to dare say such things? To take my head?”

...

Elsewhere.

The woman with a wounded arm earlier came to a quaint courtyard, where a pavilion, small lake, and little flowerbed adorned the green space.

In the pavilion, a woman in a white dress sat on a stone bench, gazing at the lake, lost in thought.

”Miss Yun.” The woman wearing a sheer veil and with a charming figure approached.

”Xiao Yu, what happened to your arm?” Yun Xi turned her head, looking at the scrape on the woman’s arm, slightly frowning, ”I’m sorry, Xiao Yu, it’s all because of me that you ended up in that wretched man’s grasp.”

”Miss Yun, I am but a woman from the world of brothels, like duckweed floating with the wind. If it weren’t for you back then, I would’ve been kidnapped and killed long ago. I am willing to do anything for Miss Yun.” The woman nodded gently.

Yun Xi sighed. In these three years, Yin Shang had controlled the Tiancheng Continent, and everyone was in dire straits. Xiao Yu was the woman Yun Xi had arranged to spy on Yin Shang and gather information.

”Thank you for your hard work.” Yun Xi nodded.

Xiao Yu said, ”Miss Yun, I came to tell you something. Yin Shang suddenly got angry and left, and I heard his trusted aide reporting Lin Tanyu’s news to him.”

”Lin Tanyu?” Yun Xi’s beautiful eyes widened, ”Did you hear it clearly?”

”Yes, very clearly.” Xiao Yu nodded vigorously.

Yun Xi’s eyes glimmered with light, ”Good, I’ll immediately send people out to gather more information. If Lin Tanyu has really returned, that would be wonderful.”

Yun Xi knew that if Lin Tanyu dared to return to the Tiancheng Continent, he surely had the confidence and assurance to kill Yin Shang.

After a while, several of the original City Lord guards that Yun Xi sent out quickly returned with news. Outside, the rumors were swirling, that Lin Tanyu claimed he would come for Yin Shang’s head in three days.

”Lin Tanyu has really come back.” Yun Xi couldn’t conceal the joy on her face.

”Miss Yun, is this Lin Tanyu really powerful?” Xiao Yu, unaware of the details, asked in confusion. ”Yes, very powerful, a very powerful person,” Yun Xi smiled, ”This time, Yin Shang’s days are numbered.”
