Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

Lin Mo’s slap was thunderously loud.

In an instant, the eyes of almost the entire restaurant turned towards them.

”You... you dare to hit me?”

Huang Bo’s eyes instantly turned ferocious.

Of course, his anger stemmed more from those onlooking gazes filled with schadenfreude.

He, Huang Bo, was the producer of the crew, in the crew, he didn’t know how many female actors he had coerced under the so-called ”hidden rules,” holding nearly as much power as the director.

And now, he was actually slapped by a teenager around seventeen or eighteen years old?

Lin Mo’s face remained impassive, he gave Huang Bo a disdainful glance, ”So what if I hit you? In Imperial City, if I wanted you dead, it would just take a single word.”

Arrogant!

It was really too arrogant.

At this time, the few young men and women who had come with Huang Bo, quickly stepped forward.

”Kid, you dare to hit Producer Huang, you’re done!”

”It’s really hilarious, a single word to get our Producer Huang dead? It’s more like with one word from Producer Huang, you’d be the one dead.”

At the same moment, the most beautiful woman in that group sneered continuously as she looked at Zhong Qiaomeng, ”Zhong Qiaomeng, you’ve really got some nerve, bringing such an arrogant friend to have a meal is one thing, but you even dare to lay a hand on Producer Huang. I think you no longer want your role as the second female lead, right?”

The woman who spoke was named Zhang Yuanyuan, and she had paid a considerable price to become the lead actress for this drama.

However, as soon as Zhong Qiaomeng arrived, with her stunning looks, she became the second female lead.

This made Zhang Yuanyuan feel extremely imbalanced inside, and given that Zhong Qiaomeng had a better figure, she was not only jealous of Zhong Qiaomeng but also felt threatened by her.

Now that Zhong Qiaomeng’s friend had hit Producer Huang, Zhang Yuanyuan’s face was full of cold smirks. To her, Zhong Qiaomeng was utterly finished!

At this moment, when Huang Bo was just about to say something, he met Lin Mo’s cold gaze and shuddered inexplicably.

He didn’t dare to vent his anger on Lin Mo anymore but instead turned his attention to Zhong Qiaomeng with a threatening tone,

”Zhong Qiaomeng, get your friend to kneel down and apologize to me right now, or forget about your role in the play!”

Upon hearing this, Zhong Qiaomeng’s face changed slightly. She knew that to enter the entertainment industry and become a true star, the first role was extremely important.

If she was blacklisted before even starting, it could be said that she had virtually no future.

Huang Bo crossed his arms, looking at Zhong Qiaomeng with full confidence, he believed she would never ruin her own prospects for a reckless youth.

Everyone else thought the same.

However, to everyone’s surprise, Zhong Qiaomeng acted like a fiercely protective calf, her voice crisp and clear as a oriole, resolute and determined,

”I won’t work on that drama, find someone else. Lin Mo is my friend, and I will never let him kneel and apologize to you! Even if it means you blacklist me, I will not agree!”

Upon hearing this, a trace of surprise flashed across Zhang Yuanyuan’s face, but her expression quickly turned gleeful.

She couldn’t wait for Zhong Qiaomeng to be blacklisted! That way, the lead female role in the next few dramas would be hers for sure.

”Fine! Very well, Zhong Qiaomeng! Let me tell you, from now on, you’re done for!”

”I will personally call your school, not only will you be isolated by your school, but you can also forget about getting any roles in Imperial City.”

Huang Bo was like a clown whose mask had been torn off, his face twisted with a sinister and cold expression.

”What’s going on here?”

A slightly angered voice, filled with questioning, echoed through the restaurant.

Huang Bo glanced back and saw the newcomer, his face instantly brightening as he jogged over to him, his face full of grievance as he said:

”Director Ma, you’re finally here! I’ve been beaten up!”

”What?”

Upon hearing this, Director Ma raised an eyebrow slightly and then asked in a deep voice, ”What happened?”

Huang Bo immediately exaggerated with resentment, explaining, ”Our female second lead, Zhong Qiaomeng, brought some arrogant kid from who knows where. He not only hit me but also spouted madness, claiming that just one word from him could kill me!”

”Oh? Is that so?” Director Ma immediately felt some anger; Huang Bo was one of his people, and this incident was a slap in the face for him.

Director Ma immediately turned to the middle-aged man who had come with him, Zhou Chi, and respectfully said, ”Um, President Zhou, I need to handle something first.”

Upon hearing this, Zhou Chi gave a faint nod, but his gaze turned towards the boy who was eating, feeling a sense of familiarity.

Soon, Director Ma approached Lin Mo, his face darkened as he said:

”Young man, you’re the one who hit my producer?”

”That’s right, it was me.” Lin Mo replied indifferently, without even lifting his head.

Director Ma frowned slightly and said coldly, ”Kid, do you have any idea of my status in the entertainment industry? You look like a college student, don’t you? Do you believe that I can utter a sentence, and you won’t be able to remain in Imperial City?”

At this point, Zhang Yuanyuan added fuel to the fire, ”Director Ma, this guy is Zhong Qiaomeng’s friend. I think we should first fire Zhong Qiaomeng from the film, and then slowly settle the score with this clueless brat.”

While speaking, Zhang Yuanyuan looked disdainfully at Zhong Linmo, her eyes filled with contempt.

What a pretentious, poor nobody. Did Zhong Qiaomeng’s brain malfunction to befriend someone like him?

Upon hearing this, Director Ma nodded, and then, viciously squeezing Zhang Yuanyuan’s bottom, he arrogantly told Zhong Qiaomeng:

”Zhong Qiaomeng, as the director, I am informing you now that you’re cut from this film!”

”You don’t need to come to the set tomorrow, and then...”

However, he was interrupted before he could finish by Lin Mo who had finally lifted his head, his voice cold and domineering:

”No need for ’then.’ The ’then’ is, your director and producer can be fired.”

”What?”

Upon hearing this, both Huang Bo and Director Ma were stunned. But the next second, a cold smile filled Huang Bo’s face, while Director Ma was ecstatic, as if he had taken a crazy pill:

”Kid, that’s the most ridiculous joke I’ve heard recently, but unfortunately, it’s not funny at all! Not only will Zhong Qiaomeng be fired from the production, but you won’t get away with it either!”

”Really?”

Lin Mo remained calm, his demeanor serene as he wiped the corners of his mouth with a napkin and picked up his phone.

For Lin Mo, ruining Director Ma and Producer Huang was just a phone call away.

Slap!!

However, at that moment, a crisp sound suddenly rang out.

Everyone’s eyes focused on Director Ma’s face.

Everyone was surprised—who dared to hit Director Ma at this time?

”President Zhou, you?”

Director Ma was baffled; he could never have dreamed that the biggest investor in the production, Zhou Chi, would lay a hand on him.

Yet, what shocked Director Ma even more was that, the next second, Zhou Chi knelt before Lin Mo with a thump, his voice filled with utmost respect:

”I’m sorry, Mr. Lin, these two idiots dared to provoke you!”

In a flash, the faces of everyone present turned extremely animated, especially Zhang Yuanyuan, Huang Bo, and Director Ma.

(I apologize again for the late update tonight.)
