Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 1046: Chapter 1045: The Hastings Family Has an Heir

Nia Mitchell nodded, frowning as she listened to the doctor’s words.

She turned around and glanced at Fiona Sutton, quietly sleeping on the hospital bed.

”So the baby is saved for now, right?”

Nia Mitchell’s eyes were full of pain. Why does Fiona have to go through these things?

”For now it is, but if the patient remains in this condition, miscarriage is just a matter of time.”

The doctor’s words felt like a death sentence.

”I understand, thank you.”

Nia nodded, turning to the bedside, reaching out to gently caress her hair.

Maxwell Peary also furrowed his brows tightly, still uncertain whether that person really was Yancy Hastings.

Could it be intentional by someone?

Returning to the control room, Maxwell Peary fixed his eyes on the surveillance footage, watching the man in the corridor wearing a baseball cap, always keeping his head down.

The build is very similar, but...

There are many differences.

For instance...

The little bit of wrist exposed shows a butterfly tattoo.

Keep in mind, Yancy Hastings is a soldier, and his body is bare, definitely wouldn’t have a tattoo.

On his body, there are only scars.

So what’s with this tattoo?

And still, those eyes filled with coldness remain.

This time, he also noticed the feet.

Larger than Yancy Hastings’.

These findings made him frown, increasingly thinking the situation is quite worrisome.

It seems this matter really needs a thorough investigation.

Taking the surveillance tape, Maxwell Peary arrived at the ward.

Fiona Sutton had already woken up, and Nia Mitchell was feeding her water.

”Why are you here after work?”

Fiona looked at Nia, no longer appearing out of control like earlier.

Now, she spoke softly, like a gentle mother.

Her face was so pale it made Nia’s eyes slightly moist seeing her like this.

”Do you want to eat something? I’ll go buy it for you.”

Nia didn’t answer her question, but instead, teary-eyed, asked what she wanted to eat.

”I don’t want to eat anything.”

At this moment, Fiona had no appetite at all.

”How can you not eat? Look at you, and moreover, the baby needs nutrition.”

”Baby...”

Fiona was startled and immediately reached to touch her abdomen.

”Then I’ll have some porridge.”

Nia nodded, just in time to see the CEO approaching.

”I’ll go buy it, you stay here with her.”

Maxwell Peary said, then turned and left the ward.

Exiting the ward, Maxwell Peary took out his phone and made a call.

”How do you have time to call me?”

On the other end was a man’s hearty voice.

The man was in the military district, wearing a military uniform. Compared to before, his face looked much more weathered.

Maxwell Peary got straight to the point without beating around the bush.

”Fiona Sutton is pregnant, it’s Yancy’s child, the situation is not very optimistic, she’s currently at First People’s Hospital. If you want the Hastings Family to have an heir, you’d better do what needs to be done.”

Maxwell got it all out in one breath.

It’s rare to see him speak so much, which shows the depth of his relationship with Yancy Hastings.

”What!?”

On the other end, Zion Hastings immediately stood up, somewhat unable to believe his ears.

Fiona’s pregnant?

The Hastings Family has an heir?

”Pregnant...”

How could he believe it?

He didn’t even know Yancy had a girlfriend.

And he would never have thought Yancy would be the type... the type... the type to engage in premarital sex.
