Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 807: Chapter 806: Knowing How to Fight Back Makes a Real Man

She wanted to treat all of this as a joke.

But...

Reality didn’t allow her to.

”Mom.”

Maxwell Peary turned his head and glanced at her, handing her a tissue.

Silvia Waterborne took it and wiped her tears.

”It took me over an hour to do my makeup, it shouldn’t get ruined.”

She seemed to be talking to herself. After saying this, her mood seemed to lighten a bit.

”You can drop me off, go handle your own business, I can take a taxi back, or I can have Evelyn pick me up.”

Silvia spoke, looking at her son.

He was much more useful than his father, knowing how to fight back.

”I’ll take you there. If you take a taxi and run into the paparazzi, what then?”

Silvia’s status was too sensitive, so everything related to her had to be handled with caution.

Silvia nodded, just looking at her son in front of her.

In the blink of an eye, her son was already twenty-nine years old.

Thinking about this, she suddenly felt that the past years were blank spaces.

”If he uses me to threaten you, don’t worry about me. Even if you get exposed to the media, I won’t care.”

Silvia suddenly spoke up.

When it came to threats, Silvia didn’t feel there was anything more to worry about.

She lived with integrity, with nothing to fear.

”Understood.”

Maxwell nodded in agreement, feeling deeply moved in his heart.

Over the years, she had already hidden herself; her status became increasingly elevated, making people reluctant to disrespect her.

But if people found out her son was already this grown and still someone else’s mistress, it would surely be talked about harshly.

Even though she was not a mistress at all.

She was also a woman, how could she face such a situation?

The biggest threat from the old man would probably be just this.

”I’m planning to retire from the Entertainment Circle. I initially wasn’t going to take this role, but I accepted it because it was an invitation from an old friend. After filming this, I want to travel around and ignore everything else.”

Silvia smiled, her face truly glowing with happiness.

As an actress, not being able to openly meet your own child is really too much...

Maxwell nodded but didn’t dwell on it much in his heart.

At the beginning, half of the reason he built his career so big was because of Silvia.

He thought that eventually, these things would be exposed.

He needed to strengthen himself to protect Silvia.

After all, if Silvia’s son was such an impressive figure, who would dare to gossip behind their backs?

No one would dare to harm her.

”I understand.”

Soon, the two of them returned to Madgar Pavilion, and Evelyn Peary looked at the two of them with a bit of curiosity.

”Did you resolve everything so quickly?”

Impossible, right? How could it be that fast?

”No.”

Silvia had already composed herself in the car.

At this moment, she couldn’t expect Maxwell to answer for her, so she had to respond herself.

”Then why did you come back?”

As soon as Silvia got out of the car, before she had a chance to say anything to Maxwell, Maxwell had already driven off in a buzz.

Uh...

Evelyn Peary was puzzled, feeling something was off about his brother’s behavior.

Could it be that he lost to the old man?

”Mom, what’s going on?”

At this moment, he could only ask Silvia.

”What else could it be? I don’t know, but I definitely didn’t go to see the old man.”
