I Have 10,000 SSS Rank Villains In My System Space

Chapter 38: Rules

Vice Headmistress Selvara raised a single hand graceful and composed.

The magical sigils hovering above the stage flickered, then dimmed in a soft pulse of fading light.

Like a command woven into the very air, silence fell. Not forced. Natural. As if the entire coliseum held its breath.

Her voice rang out again crisp, clear, refined. Like a bell cutting through the aftermath of battle.

”Before we end today’s ceremony... I would like to recognize a special class of students.”

The shift in tone was subtle still formal, still distant but now threaded with something deeper. Not excitement or emotional. But recognition and approval.

”There are those among you who did not merely pass the entrance trial... but shattered its expectations.”

A few brows furrowed. More heads tilted ever so slightly.

”Thirty five candidates have successfully qualified for entry into Arkanveil’s Royal Classroom. Each of these individuals acquired a minimum of 1,000 elemental cores during the Trial.”

The silence didn’t break.

It cracked.

Murmurs surged forward like a tide breaking through stone. Mouths opened. Eyes widened. Tension rippled across the arena like a rolling quake.

”Royal Classroom...?”

”Thirty five?!”

”Wait, did she say thirty-five?”

A beat later, disbelief followed like lightning after thunder.

”How’s that even fucking possible?”

”What are they monsters?”

”Collecting one thousand cores?! Was that even possible?!”

Even among those who had trained their whole lives for this nobles, warrior scions, descendants of famed bloodlines there was visible unrest.

Some students stared down at their bags, suddenly feeling the weight or lack thereof.

102. 137. 106.

Not even close.

A heavy silence fell over a boy with clenched fists and shallow breath. He held his spatial bag tightly, jaw locked. Exactly 100 cores. Just enough. One lucky kill away from rejection.

And now, hearing this?

It made his hands tremble.

Selvara’s voice, in contrast, was undisturbed. Like iron smoothed beneath velvet.

”The Royal Classroom is a tier above all other divisions. Its members will receive access to resources and instruction unavailable to the general student body classified spell formations, Tier Five dungeons, legacy techniques, and direct mentorship from High Instructors.”

She spoke like it was routine. But the weight of those words wasn’t lost on anyone.

Eyes snapped toward her.

Even those trying to keep a calm face found their throats dry.

It wasn’t just the perks. It was the implication these thirty five were now untouchable.

And then her tone dropped lower.

”And perhaps the most important part... which many of you may already know, but it bears repeating.”

Her gaze swept across the stunned crowd neither gloating nor kind. Simply truthful.

”The Royal Classroom does not follow the standard eight-year progression. There are no fixed grade levels. No year by year advancement. All students first year, fourth-year, or Eight study side by side. In the same hall.”

A few students exhaled audibly. One even muttered something under their breath, trying not to look too rattled.

Selvara didn’t pause.

”If you’re strong enough... if your Contribution Points are high enough... you can graduate in one year.”

She let that truth hang in the air like a guillotine blade suspended.

No one laughed.

They knew what graduation from Arkanveil meant.

No family name or noble blood could ever match that status.

Among the crowd, postures had changed. The air was heavier, but more focused.

Students gulped not from fear, but reality setting in.

There would be no easing into greatness.

Selvara allowed the tension to settle before continuing.

”And now...”

Her voice sharpened again, slicing through the dense fog of anticipation that had settled over the crowd.

”...the top three achievers among this elite group.”

The atmosphere tightened like a coiled spring.

Dozens of gazes snapped to attention some students subtly straightening their backs.

And off to the side, away from the noise and shifting stares, Razeal watched. Silent. Unreadable. He wasn’t interested in the names. He already knew them.

”Rank Three: Aeron Dragonwevr. 1,023 cores.”

”Rank Two: Selena Luminus. 1,101 cores.”

A few audible gasps this time. Not from shock but from the sudden awareness of how close those two scores were. Mere dozens apart.

And then

Selvara paused.

A heartbeat of silence passed. A breath held by hundreds.

”And first...”

The entire courtyard seemed to lean forward.

”Sylva Faerelith. 705,562 elemental cores.”

The silence that followed wasn’t dramatic.

It was primal.

It struck the courtyard like a void collapsing in on itself.

Every sound... every movement froze.

The reaction wasn’t confusion.

It was fear.

A spatial bag slipped from a student’s numb fingers and hit the marble floor with a dull clink.

Another boy, expression pale and hollow, whispered, ”That’s not human...”

The girl beside him nodded slowly, face drained of color, as if some invisible truth had just been branded into her skull.

Even the nobles those who had walked in with heads high and eyes sharpened by generations of supremacy wavered. A few stiffened. Others stepped away from the elven girl standing silently near the edge of the formation.

She hadn’t moved.

She didn’t need to.

Sylva’s presence burned now.

Not because of what she did but what it meant.

She hadn’t just won. She had buried them.

Even Razeal, seated in the far side of the crowd, lowered his gaze slightly, a thin bead of sweat trailing down his temple.

He already knew the numbers but knowing it, and witnessing its weight hit the world, were different beasts entirely.

Selvara’s voice returned calm, precise, merciless.

”The rest of you struggled to gather a hundred... and she brought back over seven hundred thousand. More than all of you combined several times over.”

Her voice softened just enough to be heard clearly.

”This is the difference between passing... and ruling.”

The words didn’t echo. They carved themselves into the bone.

Then her tone shifted again steel laced with cold finality.

”Let this serve as a reminder: power is real. Power speaks. And in Arkanveil... only power determines your worth.”

She raised a hand once more.

The sigils that had hovered above her burst into brilliant light before fading into smoke, as if seared from the air itself.

”To those of you still standing congratulations again. You’ve earned a place among monsters.”

”But never forget... some monsters are still far beyond your reach.”

The tension never left.

Selvara turned then, cloak rippling faintly with her movement, and stepped forward once again.

”And now, before we officially close the Trial Ceremony one final decree. Etch it into your memory. It will not be repeated.”

Her voice had sharpened into something else now. Not iron.

Judgment.

”Within Arkanveil Academy... combat between students is permitted.”

The words rippled through the crowd like thunder wrapped in silence.

”You are free to challenge.

To scheme.

To duel.

To humiliate.

Even to break bones... if you so desire.”

Some students sucked in quiet breaths, while others let out low chuckles nervous or thrilled, none could tell.

”No instructor will intervene. No hand will protect you. In this academy, conflict is curriculum. Strength is privilege.”

Then she stopped.

A heartbeat. Then another.

”However...”

Selvara’s voice fell like a blade from the sky.

”There is one absolute line.”

”Killing within Academy grounds is forbidden. Violate this rule, even once, and you will not face trial.”

Her next words dropped like death.

”You will be erased. Obliterated.

Regardless of background. Regardless of family or name.”

Her gaze swept the sea of faces once more.

”That is the only law etched in stone. Everything else is permitted.”

Then, quietly but every syllable rang like scripture:

”Power is privilege. The strong take. The weak serve. If you want more... become more.”

”Inside these walls, respect is not given. It is taken. And only one language is understood strength.”

She lowered her hand.

The finally.

”Welcome to Arkanveil.”
