Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 2338: Chapter 2338: Fellow Cooks at the Hearth

”Head Ye, you have great talent, it was my dog eyes that underestimated you, please, Head Ye, pardon a small person!”

Xiong Hong suddenly showed respect towards Ye Haochuan, bowing with a face full of sincerity.

Ye Haochuan didn’t expect Xiong Hong to have such a big reaction, quickly said, ”We’re all brothers at the same stove, it’s nothing.”

Xiong Hong was clearly a straightforward person, his likes and dislikes all on his face. Since he admitted his fault, Ye Haochuan naturally wouldn’t be petty.

”Hurry and seal the pot!” Xu Dewen reminded.

If the spirit meal in the pot isn’t sealed, the medicinal effects will gradually fade away.

Xu Dewen was very excited today, his hands were trembling as he sealed the pot.

Very soon, a thin layer of restriction appeared on the large pot, sealing all the abundant medicinal fragrance within.

After sealing the pot, Xu Dewen suddenly seemed a bit at a loss.

Every day at this time, he was anxiously preparing the spirit meal, so busy that his feet didn’t touch the ground.

Now the spirit meal was prepared half an hour early, he suddenly didn’t know what to do.

”Take me around, I want to get familiar with the environment!” Ye Haochuan suddenly said.

Actually, this statement was quite frivolous. The reason he wanted to go out was because he saw familiar faces with his Perspective Eyes.

He wanted to meet them but was worried about peculiar rules here, so he thought of taking along a ”local gang.”

Xu Dewen felt he had nothing to do and was happy to accept Ye Haochuan’s proposal.

Exiting through the door of the Spirit Meal Room in zone C, Ye Haochuan naturally headed towards the Spirit Meal Room in zone B.

”In the Spirit Meal Room, each zone is responsible for different spirit meals, the further forward the zone, the higher the grade of spirit meals.” Xu Dewen patiently explained some basics to Ye Haochuan: ”Like zone A, supplies the Seat Holders, Elders, Hall Masters, Deacons, and other big figures of West Peak. Zone B, is for disciples above the Void God level, and our zone C, is for cultivators in the True Immortal Realm.”

”Each zone has varying numbers of squads, with the most in zone C, totaling more than a hundred. Zone A has the fewest, only about a dozen, each squad serving its designated big figure individually...”

Ye Haochuan wasn’t much concerned about these introductions, he eagerly entered zone B and knocked on a closed door!

”Who’s there?”

The door was opened slightly, a young man with an unfriendly expression looked at Ye Haochuan.

”I am the head of squad thirteen in zone C, and I want to...” Ye Haochuan answered.

Before he could finish, that person sneered disdainfully, ”What is someone from zone C doing in our zone B? Get lost quickly, or don’t blame me for being rude!”

Saying that, he slammed the door shut.

”Damn, I’m, at least for a time, a squad leader. How dare this little fellow treat me like this?” Ye Haochuan was somewhat angry.

Beside him, Xu Dewen, with a wry smile, said, ”Don’t be mad, squad leader, these people from zone B consider themselves nobler than us in zone C, so they’re always dismissive of us.”

Dammit, we’re all people cooking porridge by the stove, who’s nobler than who?

Feeling indignant, Ye Haochuan directly shouted, ”Kong Yanliang, come out!”

Xu Dewen immediately broke out in cold sweat, hurriedly stopping him, ”Squad leader, don’t be impulsive. If you anger the squad leader here, you might get beaten up!”

”Offend the squad leader?”

Ye Haochuan was completely unconcerned, and shouted again.

In the next moment, the person who had opened the door earlier opened it again, full of anger, shouted, ”There’s no bastard named Kong Yanliang here, if you dare shout again, I’ll kill you!”

He had just finished speaking when it seemed like someone kicked him, and he rolled out.

”I am Kong Yanliang, your damn mother is the bastard!” A handsome young man came out from the door, angrily berating the person who opened the door.

The person who opened the door was instantly bewildered, the recently arrived squad leader didn’t introduce his name, he felt wronged indeed.

Fortunately, Kong Yanliang didn’t fuss over it with him, instead looked at Ye Haochuan joyfully, ”Brother Ye, you’re actually still alive?”

His uncle was a deacon, naturally able to learn of Ming Quan’s dangers. Seeing Ye Haochuan standing before him, he appeared very surprised.

”Barely survived!”

Ye Haochuan smiled awkwardly, said, ”I wonder if Brother Kong has time, let’s chat!”

”Alright, come inside please!” Kong Yanliang invited Ye Haochuan in, pulling him by the hand.

Xu Dewen, on the other hand, dared not enter no matter what, and regretfully returned.

Zone B’s cooking room was noticeably larger than zone C, and also had more people, totaling seven.

Kong Yanliang brought Ye Haochuan into a spacious partition, the two sat across from each other.

”I actually came to ask for Brother Kong’s help!”

Ye Haochuan got straight to the point, ”Could your uncle, who’s a Deacon here at West Peak, help put in a good word so I can become an official disciple?”

Becoming an official disciple is a prerequisite to being eligible to take tasks and earn contribution points.

He didn’t come to the South Sect just to cook porridge for others, he needed to quickly gather a million contribution points, can’t waste time idly in the Spirit Meal Room.

”Well, if it’s anything else, I’d definitely do my best, but for this matter, it’s difficult.”

Kong Yanliang looked troubled, said, ”New disciples must start from the bottom, as you can see, I’m just like you now!”

Ye Haochuan’s expression darkened upon hearing this, continued to ask, ”So what exactly is required to become an official disciple?”

”The prerequisite to becoming an official disciple actually depends on contribution, but this contribution isn’t earned through tasks, it’s based on the Steward’s evaluation.”

Kong Yanliang explained, ”Every year, the Steward can recommend three people to go through the official disciple trials. Once you pass, you can become an official disciple!”

Goodness, isn’t this way too troublesome?

Ye Haochuan thought he could just earn contribution points by entering the South Sect, but before that, there were so many intricate procedures.

”The next recommendation should be in a month’s time, but you probably won’t make it, you’ll have to wait until next year.” Kong Yanliang dealt Ye Haochuan another small blow.

”A month’s time?” Ye Haochuan murmured.

He wasn’t as pessimistic as Kong Yanliang, he’d already resolved to do whatever it takes during this month to earn the Steward’s favor. This quota was something he would obtain at all costs.

Bidding farewell to Kong Yanliang, Ye Haochuan quickly returned to his own cooking room.

”Squad leader, hurry and check, Xiong Hong got beaten up!”

As soon as he entered, Ye Haochuan saw Hua Biqiao panting as she ran in.

”What happened?” Ye Haochuan asked urgently.

”It’s those people from squad seventeen!”

Hua Biqiao quickly explained, ”They’ve always been against us, our previous Squad Leader was harmed by them. Just now, while we were delivering the spirit meal to the dining hall, they came to cause trouble again, Xiong Hong couldn’t hold back and got into a fight with them...”

”Take me over there quickly!” Ye Haochuan urged.

He’d just taken charge on his first day and his underling was beaten up. If he didn’t do something about it, how would he lead this team in the future?
