Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 1197: Chapter 1196: Not Someone You Can Provoke! (2nd update)

Ye Haochuan pulled Sophia into his arms, pretending to forcibly get intimate with her and whispered in her ear, ”Contact a person named Zhang Chong for me, and have him cover my tracks on the surveillance between one and three in the morning.”

Sophia responded softly, but her face showed extreme anger as she shouted, ”Go to hell, pervert!”

After saying that, she left in a huff.

Just as she walked out the door, she ran into Ross, whose face was serious.

Sophia felt a jolt in her heart and quickly said, ”Your Highness Ross, that Huaxia man is so rude as to lay his hands on me, I...”

”Hmm, you’ve worked hard.” Ross replied softly, without saying much more.

Only then did Sophia relax, fearing that her little interaction with Ye Haochuan had been discovered; it seemed she was overthinking it.

”Your Highness Ross, what should we do now?” Sophia probed.

”He’s worn out all my patience; it’s time to make him taste some bitterness!” Ross snorted coldly, waving Sophia off, ”Go about your business. You probably won’t be needed here anymore.”

Initially, he intended for Sophia to fake a friendship with Ye Haochuan, hoping he would drop his guard and reveal some flaws. The method seemed childish, but it was very effective.

Compared to forced coercion, confessions obtained this way were noticeably more credible.

However, this time, the effect was clearly not very good.

When Sophia heard Ross planned to take action against Ye Haochuan, she panicked and said, ”Your Highness Ross, are you really planning to torture him? The Ancient Martial Arts Sect came specifically to negotiate, he must be an important person, right?”

”Just a small Ancient Martial Arts Sect from Huaxia, nothing to worry about. Even if their Sect Leader came, it’s nothing significant. Besides negotiating and protesting, they won’t do anything else!” Ross said disdainfully.

”Huaxia has developed quite well over the past few decades; wouldn’t it be bad to create conflicts like this?”

”Humph, Huaxia Profound Gate thinks they’ve developed over the decades and has challenged the Holy See’s authority multiple times. It’s time to let them recognize their capabilities through this matter.” Ross sneered.

”But...”

”Enough, since when did you have so much nonsense? Remember, I only asked you to pretend to get closer to him, not really become friends.” Ross snorted coldly.

Sophia broke into a cold sweat, knowing that anything more she said could backfire.

Suppressing her inner unease, she left. She knew the only way she could help Ye Haochuan now was to quickly contact Long Xiaotian and ask him to figure out a way to rescue Ye Haochuan.

After Sophia left, Ross went straight to the small room where Ye Haochuan was held.

Ye Haochuan was a bit surprised; since being held here, Ross hadn’t come to see him. The sudden appearance this time was very suspicious.

Ross didn’t let Ye Haochuan guess for long and directly stated his purpose.

”Regrettably, due to your dishonesty, I have no choice but to use some unpleasant means. If you don’t want to wish you were dead, you’d better be honest now; this is your last chance!”

Shit, is he trying to beat a confession out of me?

Ye Haochuan furrowed his brows deeply and said coldly, ”I’ve said it many times, I accidentally wandered in. Are you really going to subject me to torture, disregarding the friendship between our alliances?”

”What friendship of alliances, does the Huaxia Profound Gate dare to stand on equal footing with the Holy See? A hundred years ago, if it weren’t for the Holy See helping you resist the Evil Sect Alliance, Huaxia would have perished long ago!”

Ross said disdainfully, ”You should remember who is the world’s overlord; Huaxia can only be considered the Holy See’s attendant, yet you dare to challenge our authority, truly ignorant of rank and status!”

”What did you say?” Ye Haochuan squeezed out through clenched teeth.

Ross’s devaluation of Huaxia infuriated Ye Haochuan to the extreme.

A hundred years ago, the Holy See indeed helped Huaxia resist the Evil Sect Alliance. At that time, Huaxia faced severe internal and external problems, and the situation was dire. The Holy See’s assistance did help Huaxia through difficult times.

However, the help from the Holy See was not as high as Ross claimed. Ultimately, defeating the Evil Sect depended on Huaxia itself.

The Huaxia Profound Gate has always remembered the Holy See’s assistance, showing everywhere patience and forbearance, yet in return received the Holy See’s arrogance, disregarding Huaxia entirely.

”Humph, the Holy See does not need a disobedient attendant. This time I will make the Huaxia people wake up and see who truly rules the world!”

If initially, Ross captured Ye Haochuan due to suspicions regarding the Holy Bead, then after Long Xiaotian’s appearance, his aim became to purely give Huaxia a lesson.

Long Xiaotian is a high-ranking member of the Ancient Martial Arts Sect; not giving face to Long Xiaotian is a blatant slap to the entire sect. He not only intended to slap but intended to slap hard, until the Ancient Martial Arts Sect realized their place.

As the Holy See’s top hand in the Mundane World, Ross considered himself fully qualified and necessary to do so.

”Trying to teach a lesson to the Ancient Martial Arts Sect? You’re probably not qualified!” Ye Haochuan’s gaze was icy, filled with killing intent as he looked at Ross.

”Humph, a mere Foundation Establishment Stage individual dares to be impudent in front of me. Looks like teaching Huaxia is the right call; Huaxia people really are forgetting their place.”

Ross snorted coldly, then threw out a bursting fireball.

As a Core Formation Late Stage mage, his attack power was undoubtedly formidable. He underestimated Ye Haochuan, forgetting the basic rule that mages should not let enemies get too close in combat.

Ye Haochuan snorted softly, quickly using Mystifying Steps, flickering away, and in an instant appeared behind Ross. The cold Divine Concealment Sword was only half a millimeter from Ross’s neck.

Ye Haochuan wanted to decapitate Ross with a single sword stroke. For such arrogant people, a harsh lesson was necessary to remind them of their strength.

However, Ye Haochuan didn’t do it; he knew if he killed Ross, the Holy See would surely claim that Huaxia deliberately created conflict, breaking the alliance.

With the Evil Sect growing increasingly rampant, falling out with the Holy See right now would be unwise.

”Just an easy-to-beat fool like you, yet you have the audacity to belittle Huaxia; how shameless!” Ye Haochuan said disdainfully.

Ross’s face turned iron blue, never expecting to be so easily overpowered.

However, he was still somewhat unconvinced, coldly saying, ”I was merely careless, and in this small room, I am unable to exert myself. Do you dare to find a spacious place to fight me?”

”Haha, a Core Formation Late Stage individual losing to a Foundation Establishment Late Stage ant, and you still find excuses?” Ye Haochuan laughed coldly, ”Fine, today I’ll show you that even a Huaxia Foundation Establishment Stage cultivator is not someone you can provoke!”
