My Harem of Dangerous and Crazy Women as a Reincarnated Necromancer

”So all of that was real...”

The man was sitting on the forest floor with his back against a giant root jutting out of the ground.

His legs were extended forward and his hands rested at his sides while his eyes were fixed on his own body.

He knew this wasn’t his original body, it was taller, broader, and now disgustingly muscular.

Then he raised an arm and began moving it with some difficulty.

”...This body is pretty heavy,” he said out loud, flexing his arm to watch the muscle show through the fabric. ”Though being honest, it’s way better than the previous one.”

He let out a heavy sigh.

”That god is absolute garbage at customer service,” he muttered as he sat up a little. ”No tutorial, no guide, not even a ’good luck with what’s ahead.’ He just threw me here and took off.”

But as if his words had triggered something, a translucent window materialized in the air in front of him.

And seeing it, he knew immediately it was a stats screen.

Identical in format to the one he had seen thousands of times in Eternal Conquest Online, the game on which he had wasted an embarrassing number of hours of his life.

Except this one wasn’t inside a monitor.

This one floated in front of him, in the air, emitting a soft glow that contrasted with the darkness of the forest.

”At least this looks familiar,” he said, leaning closer to read.

[Player Profile]

Name: xxxX_Gacha_Addict_Xxxx

Level: 33/100

Class: Warrior

Current Equipment:

Armor: White Days Elegant Suit (Premium — Limited Edition)

Main Weapon: Volcanic Relic Greatsword (SSS Rank)

Inventory: 3/50 slots occupied

The first thing he read was the name.

”xxxX_Gacha_Addict_Xxxx...” he read, bringing a hand to his forehead and closing his eyes. ”I had completely forgotten this was the username on this account.”

Then he opened his eyes again and kept reading.

Level: 33/100.

’Not even halfway...’

Reading that number hurt more than it should have.

Because level thirty-three was exactly the kind of level that leaves you in no man’s land.

You’re no longer a beginner who can excuse themselves for being new, but you’re not strong enough to do anything relevant either.

That was the level of someone who plays occasionally without taking it too seriously.

Which was exactly what he had done with this account.

Because this wasn’t his main account.

His main account, ”StormBreaker_01,” was level ninety-seven with an inventory packed to the brim with legendary gear and endless shop items.

But unfortunately that account wasn’t the one that had come with him to this world.

The one that had come was an alt account he had created three years ago to play with a friend who was just starting out and didn’t want to be accompanied by a high-level character.

’Out of all the accounts I had, he sent me with the worst one...’ he thought, clenching his jaw. ’He’s a son of a bitch.’

He kept reading and stopped at the equipment section.

The White Days Elegant Suit was a cosmetic armor he had bought during the Valentine’s Day event for thirty dollars.

While it gave him no defense bonus beyond the base stat, he had bought it anyway because it looked good.

’At least I have style...’ he thought with a bitter laugh.

But the Volcanic Relic Greatsword was a completely different story.

That weapon was good, SSS Rank, its fire damage was passive so it cost no MP, and its strength bonus was quite considerable.

It had taken him twelve pulls in the beginner special gacha to get it and was probably the best thing he had on this account.

’At least with this I’m sure I won’t die immediately,’ he thought, looking at the item he had marked as a favorite.

Then he looked at the inventory and the good mood he had recovered upon seeing his greatsword vanished immediately.

”Forty-seven empty slots...” he said, opening the inventory to see what those three items were.

Two basic health potions and a teleportation stone with no destination assigned.

That was all.

”If I had known I’d reincarnate with this account,” the man said, closing the inventory and getting to his feet, ”I would have bought all the premium potions, all the event armor sets, and also the sixty-seven levels I was missing to reach max.”

Then his mind recalled the game’s shop with bitterness.

”Ugh... all of that was on sale the last time I played,” he added in a tone that dripped with regret.

He stood looking at the ground for a moment until he finally shook his head.

’But whatever, no point dwelling on what I didn’t do...’

Then he raised his gaze toward the sky.

”Well, he held up his end of the deal,” he said in a firmer tone. ”Now it’s my turn to figure out what my part is.”

And as if those words had been a signal, another window appeared in front of him.

This one was different from the stats screen.

Larger, with a golden border and text in the center that glowed with an intensity the other windows didn’t have.

[Main Quest]

Name: Divine Intervention

Reward: Ability to swap current character for your main account character.

Objective: Eliminate the low-level reincarnated known as ”DarkLord69”

Current Location: The Great Forest

Target’s Power Level: Very low.

The man finished reading the quest window and stayed silent for a moment.

”Fuck... I’m almost certain that bastard did this on purpose,” he said, rereading the reward. ”It’s too much of a damn coincidence.”

Then his attention shifted to the objective.

”So ’DarkLord69’... hehe,” he said in a mocking tone. ”Are you serious?”

A smile spread across his face.

”And here I thought my username was bad.”

Then the man closed the window with a quick motion of his hand.

’So another reincarnated person, huh?...’ he thought, going over the information. ’And according to this their power level is extremely low, maybe even lower than mine.’

That last part gave him a certain advantage, at least in theory. Though being level thirty-three, he himself wasn’t exactly a threat to anyone who knew what they were doing.

’Meh, doesn’t matter,’ he thought. ’The reward’s worth it.’

The man raised his hand over his shoulder and his fingers found the grip of the Greatsword materialized on his back. He grabbed it, drew it from its sheath, and held it in front of him with one hand.

The blade was enormous, almost as large as he was, dark metal with reddish veins that seemed to pulse with a heat of their own. The weight was considerable, but his new body held it without any trouble.

’At least I know this works,’ he thought, rotating the sword once to test the grip.

Then he sheathed it on his back again and began to walk.

”Better to finish off this idiot quickly,” the man said as his figure moved between the giant trunks of the Great Forest. ”So I can finally start enjoying my new life.”

And without looking back, he disappeared among the shadows.
