However, Ye Chen smiled. This was indeed something that Ge Qing would do. Immediately, he said to Ge Qing, ”Dean Ge, I still have something to do, so I will take my leave first.”

Ge Qing nodded. He also wanted to catch up with Chen Zhifan. His senior brother, Chen Zhifan’s master, had been on his mind for many years. He could not wait to find out what his senior brother had experienced after their separation.

After Ye Chen left the dean’s office, he headed to the forging workshop of the Divine Fire Academy to meet Old Wu.

He wondered how the process of forging the Blood Demon Sword was coming along.

Soon, Ye Chen arrived at the workshop and saw the burly old man.

Old Wu’s eyes lit up when he saw Ye Chen. His good disciple had finally returned!

Ye Chen saw the look in Old Wu’s eyes and felt a little helpless. He smiled bitterly and bowed to Old Wu. ”Old Wu, I am back.”

”Why are you still calling me Old Wu?” Old Wu frowned.

”Uh... Master,” Ye Chen scratched his head and said in embarrassment.

”Come in with me.” Old Wu beamed and patted Ye Chen on the shoulder.

”That sword of yours is truly extraordinary, but your master is even more extraordinary!”

Old Wu opened the door, and a scorching wave of heat hit Ye Chen’s face.

Ye Chen was shocked to find a lava furnace hidden in the room, and there was a sword standing on top of the hot lava!

It was the Blood Demon Sword!

However, the Blood Demon Sword had been greatly improved, and there were even ancient inscriptions carved on the sword, which were of his name...

Ye Chen!

”Disciple, drip a drop of blood on it.”

Ye Chen nodded and forced out his blood essence to land on the Blood Demon Sword.

In an instant, the entire ground shook, and the flames in the forge engulfed the body of the Blood Demon Sword like a blazing fire.

Bang!

A loud explosion erupted, and the Blood Demon Sword soared into the sky like a shooting star!

After an unknown period of time, the Blood Demon Sword descended from the sky and returned to Ye Chen’s hand.

Even though Ye Chen possessed the Immortal Divine Body, he felt that he could barely control it.

He discovered that Old Wu had actually completed the parts of the Blood Demon Sword that were once incomplete, and even added extremely important elements.

It was definitely not weaker than the Rotten Beast Sword that he was using now.

Furthermore, if he added the power of the Black Demon that the Demon Emperor had promised him, it would become absolutely terrifying.

”My dear disciple, I have never forged a sword so seriously before.”

”I dare say that even the blacksmiths in the Divine Kingdom cannot compare to me in this world.”

Ye Chen was slightly shocked. Old Wu was actually so remarkable?

Old Wu seemed to have recalled the past. ”Disciple, you might not know this, but I was once one of the most outstanding young blacksmiths in the Divine Kingdom. It is a pity...” he muttered.

Old Wu’s voice stopped abruptly.

”Let us not talk about it anymore. It is all in the past.”

”All you need to know is that I am your master now.”

”There should not be any power in the world that can cut through your sword.”

”I added Gengjin mental, Crimson Blaze Stone, Demon God Blood... These are all from my many years of savings.”

Ye Chen looked at Old Wu in surprise. Each of these items was priceless in the Lingwu Continent.

However, his master had fused it into his Blood Demon Sword.

How could he repay this favor?

Ye Chen held the Blood Demon Sword in his hand and was about to say something when Old Wu laughed and said, ”Alright, kid. Enough chit-chat. Hurry up and start learning the art of forging from me. You will have a hard time from now on. I will not let you go until you have mastered the basics of my forging technique.”

Two days later, in the workshop, the sound of metal clashing could be heard. In the scorching forging room, Ye Chen swung the hammer and kept hitting a piece of metal. As he observed the metal with his powerful spiritual sense, every blow was controlled perfectly!

Old Wu, who was watching from the side, was a little dumbfounded. Ye Chen had actually used only two days to master his forging technique!

Forging was not something easy to learn! If that were really the case, wouldn’t the streets be filled with divine artifact blacksmiths?

Originally, Old Wu thought that no matter how great Ye Chen’s talent was, it would take at least several months, or even half a year, or even a year to master, right?

However, Ye Chen had only spent two days...

And this was under the circumstances where his requirements were extremely harsh!

A few minutes later, Ye Chen finally stopped hitting. He put down the hammer in his hand and wiped the sweat from his forehead. He took out the piece of metal he had forged and quenched it.

He looked at it carefully, and a trace of satisfaction appeared on his face. Then, he handed the piece of metal to Old Wu and asked, ”Master, look at this piece of metal of mine. How is it? Is this considered acceptable?”

Old Wu took the piece of metal and looked at it. His jaw almost fell off. He forced himself to pretend to be calm and stammered, ”It counts. You can be considered to have mastered the basics.”

It was more than just the basics though.

Ye Chen had succeeded even though Old Wu’s requirements were extremely harsh.

After all, the higher the grade of the metal, the harder it was to remove the impurities. Despite this, the purity of this piece of metal had already reached 99%, right?

This was already comparable to his own level.

Old Wu had been immersed in forging for more than ten thousand years, but what about Ye Chen?

He had only studied for two days.

Ye Chen smiled. ”If that is the case, Master, I will be leaving for a while. You said that you would let me leave once I mastered the basics.”

”Alright, come and find me when you are free,” Old Wu said in a daze.

He had yet to recover from the shock. Even if Ye Chen wanted to continue learning, he had to make more preparations to teach this precocious student of his.

Before he left, Ye Chen suddenly thought of something and handed him something. ”Master, I still have one more thing to trouble you with. I once accidentally learned a secret technique called Thousand Artifact Explosion. It can release extreme power at the cost of detonating an artifact. Would you be able to upgrade this secret technique?”

Ye Chen looked at Old Wu excitedly. After all, the Thousand Artifact Explosion was once his greatest trump card with terrifying power.

If Old Wu could improve or upgrade it, he would likely have another trump card in his battle against the Divine Kingdom.

Old Wu took the item from Ye Chen’s hand and examined it. His eyes suddenly lit up.

”Interesting! The blacksmith involved in creating this technique is astonishingly talented. However, the requirements for the soul are extremely high.”

”Also, this blacksmith does not have a thorough understanding of some things, which caused the technique to turn out imperfect.”

”Since my disciple has requested it, I will study this technique and try to increase its power and reduce the burden and consumption of soul power.”
